For the Base audio kits with coaxial speakers the speaker with the longer wire that has the capacitor in it (BSD.SP.CX.4.SOF.C-V3) will go in the front doors. The shorter wire goes in the rear (BSD.SP.CX.4.SOF.-V3).
on the web sites it's advertised as a quick process to install, this looks like a super elaborate process....

Thank you, very detail guide on how to for the 2020+ cars, including the "four screws" out and giving it a good tug.
If you happen to break a plastic clip, be sure and remove and\or replace it before you put the door panel back on, or it will rattle and buzz incessantly.
Keep thinking how much this dude looks like a brother or cousin of Lars from Metallica.
Harman Kardon on a MINI, is the best sounding OEm system, I don't undertan why anybody would spend money "improving" it.

It was fine, but our Ford Cmax's Sony system is noticably better though.
Because the paper speakers are trash. Both of my rear mid speakers in my R60 are blown. Poor quality paper cones are the problem.

@@ekimandersom4478 Please... enlighten me as to what music I listen to that is classified as "crappy"? Please define what is considered to be "too loud". Surely a manufacturer as large as BMW wouldn't ship a car with an audio system that can be dangerous due to being "too loud" with the stock setup. I've got all day. I can wait for you to expand upon your seemingly purposefully toxic opinion.

I’m installing the tweeters in the apillar both the speaker and jumper harness have resistors?
In non hk system the centrale speaker wire are present and Active? And for the OEM system without hk Is possibile to upgrade speaker same at this video ? Ti enance Power and quality? (Exuse for write error I write from Italy) :-)

Bavsound hands down! The HK system used by BMW was made with savings and ass production in mind. Bavsound dedicates a lot of money and time on speaker development and high end materials.

Hi, My MINI COOPER 2019 COUNTRYMAN F60 has a connection under the Air Grille for the Center Channel but no speakers at the spot.My vehicle has base audio & i had to install a PP86DSP amplifier to upgrade to studio sound.I want to know how i can activate the Center Channel with my amplifier?.Can U help?.

sorry but the front midrange harman kardon are strontium magnet type , so even if the "new" loudspeakers seems more bigger, in fact, the strontium Harman Kardon always make a better sound...........

Frankly, the base model in a Mini is pretty bad, especially the subwoofers. When I ordered my 2022, dealer said the Harman Kardon was not available due to material shortage. So I’m ordered the stage 1 and ghost from Bavsound.

@@SinCityAMG I upgraded my underseat, the mid and bass are improved but not by too much, probably because I haven’t changed the front speakers. The sound and treble still quite “muddy”.
@@jeffluk1824 If I do get one with out the HK, I guess my first change will the the front speakers. Not too sure on the underseat woofers since you said it didn't improve your mid and bass by much considering how pricey they are.

These are advertised as plug and play - Ha 1hr install from an expert - If i was to do it I would need a couple of days. Not being naive thinking that there is such a thing as plug and play speakers for cars but the advertising is misleading to the uninitiated

The quality of this video is shockingly bad. Out of focus at times. Camera trained at the back of his head. The needless chattering and jokes (the reach around is ridiculously juvenile though I would find it amusing most of the time) and the lack of ANY kind of editing that could have cut it in half of make it vehicle specific. He never addresses items that he says he will later and snaps parts apart that have tabs that need to be slid off first without mentioning it. The sound deadening that he struggles with no longer accompanies the speakers by the way.
