The advanced timeline is the best feature for me. I really enjoy using this feature to find information and see wha timeframe things happened. For example when did Elijah go to Zarepath???? timeline will answer this.
Coming from Logos 9 Platinum and academic, honestly I don’t see a point upgrading into a major package. The commentaries on 10 that were not on 9 are not that great, and I feel like the money would be better spent in buying individual top commentaries whenever they go in sale
The thing that amazed me the most about the library was how quickly the scan was. But another point someone mentioned which I hadn’t considered is you can add kindle books (or other electronic resources) you have too. It’s still nice to have everything in one place, but it’s also nice not to rebuy books!
@@chrisjwilson I thought about linking to other electronic resources. For example, I have a lot of resources in OliveTree, but not in Logos, so I could possibly add them to Logos and do a search in one place rather than switching between the apps. I would still have to switch apps to look at the actual content, but it might make search easier. I don't have Gold to try this out though. By the way, greetings from Zgierz! Always good to meet other Christians in Poland.
It’s hard to say. The speed improvements really are amazing, it just feels noticeable snappier on first use. But in terms of actual features I really like the simpler search. I never really got the old search syntax and this is much more accessible.
So I first thought the translation tool worked on anything and I thought I could translate my sermons into Polish, but that’s not part of it which I understand. So maybe that for a start. I think the draw on screen and canvas features for the iPad could be improved further but that’s not a new feature really.
I’ll check again when I have more time but it appears to be a logos bronze packages feature. You can get a feature only upgrade but it does seem you do need to upgrade.
Honestly, I think that's what I would have done if I hadn't got a review copy. I deliberately didn't cover the libraries at all because there are so many details between every package and different denominational tracks! I do love the legacy libraries when they go on sale though, I can often find a set of commentaries or resources that I really want far cheaper that way.
I just double checked the release data. There’s no Ukrainian package (unlike the Spanish/German academic ones) and you can’t set the system language to Ukrainian. The new translation feature includes Ukrainian. So with a gold package, you could get a machine translation of English resources. Please let me know if you’re wondering about something else.
@@chrisjwilson Sorry, I wasn't clear enough) I'm fine with English as the system language) and my question not about Ukrainian package. It would be great to have more Bible translations in UA (and PL, by the way). Some of such translations should already be a public domain, I guess (like UBIO). And I'm ready to pay for new ones (probably UTT and other). This way I would have a huge amount of great Logos features with the Bible translations I use to preach..
Ah I follow now. Yes, I've requested a Polish translation before in the suggested books and I found a request for Ukrainian translations (suggestbooks.uservoice.com/forums/308269-book-suggestions/suggestions/39986437-ukrainian-bible-translation). The only item I can find is limited to the New Testament www.logos.com/product/1837/novii-zapovit)
The drawing feature isn't great. it saves as a picture of the screen, not as notes that will overlay the text. def. a step in the right direction, but basically useless right now... I'm very disappointed
What feature is the most interesting to you?

The library catalogue feature looks really nice! Also the sermon import.

Great review thank you
Thanks for saying so.
Ooph, that library catalog feature though!
Ha! I thought you might like that! Scanning with the iPad is super smooth too!
This is quite helpful. Thanks Chris, for particularly highlighting the search for print books. Which would be your favourite feature of the 10?

Language feature is amazing. What do you wish was included in this upgrade?

Do you have upgrade to 10 to get new features on iPad? I don’t have the draw on screen option in tools.

@@chrisjwilson thank you. I will most likely just do a feature upgrade since I already have all the resources that I need.

Any luck to bring Ukrainian translations into Logos?

@@chrisjwilson Right. I've already bought this one and yes, it's NT only.
Added my comments to the logos suggestions page. Thanks.
