damn, I love watching people commute in this city. IF Sedona is dead, please just do a city tour for hard core fans haha Upgraded train station is looking sweeet! That area kinda lacks trees though :)
I think James is being inspired by the way Australian beachfronts are - we do have some houses on our beach fronts but in our major cities, there's often a road along the beach that has light commercial (little stores, restaurants and small motels) on it. In Adelaide (Australia), you can go from one end of the city to the other all the way along the beach. Some of it is housing but it's still a large road and then there's official beach areas that have little foreshores. From what I saw of Sydney last year, it's similar.
In a lot of high density cities, there will be housing next to the waterfront, and then right on it a highway, so as to make an easy commuting option for drivers. The FDR in NYC is an example, as well as Toronto's Gardiner
Tbh I would possibly try and build a downtown with taller buildings (RICO stuff and others) to sorta give your city a skyline. I know a couple really good assets for that.
I don't need a meme I really like the Australia Square tower (RICO), Dirksen U.S. Courthouse, Singer Building, Dewaet Building, (G) Parker Loft, Oxford Tower Warsaw, Dump National Hotel, Kansas City Power and Light Building, 400 West Market (I usually use that for like a city center tower), Teleporto Office (RICO), One 57 [RICO], Tour Incity - LYON [RICO], Three First National Plaza (RICO) Chicago, Zions Bank Building (RICO) Salt Lake City. I dont know how to build a collection but when I figure it out I can give the link for it if you want
Monorail over the bridge, please. It'd lead to awesome scenes of the train traveling over the bridge traffic (look at all that traffic we're bypassing!), as opposed to pretty much hidden operation and a weird sort of dance to go under the bridge at either end.
I don't know if it is pure expertise or some sort of intuition. But your traffic is quite good, and you place your roads and intersections seemingly without a long term planning. Congratz
I've watched all his series and yeah, his skill with traffic is uncanny. Even when he was playing prior to TM:PE. I've got 200 hours in game and still can't just plop down highways and entrances because it'll explode with traffic. He does make sure to have turning lanes and lane control when he needs it, which I think helps. But even stuff he does as fixes, like the overhead road, looks good even though it was just a fix?
I think the density of the new section across the bridge works fine, or would as long as it tapers off into lower-density development within a few outward blocks. It makes sense (to me, at least) to have one area of denser development right on the other side of the bridge. (The analogies that come to mind would be West Oakland/Emeryville, to use the Bay Area examples I love, just across the Bay Bridge from San Francisco, or in southeastern Virginia, where the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel lands in downtown Hampton, Virginia, where things are a little more built-up. It makes sense in either case because of the demand--high demand for the cityscape views and access to either side--and because of the services/amenities required on either end of a long bridge, e.g., gas stations/retail/hotels and the like.) Either way, it's all looking fantastic!
I think that the medium and high density should stay in Lilac, and then maybe like a (quite) large central park kind of thing in the soon coming downtown part to break it a bit 😅 Semaj, you've got me hooked... loving it!😎
i like the idea of the monorail going under the bridge. it definitely needs to cross the river, otherwise it just wouldn’t make sense as the city’s main transit network.
No! Please don't change the mid density across the bay, you already have way too much low density and practically no high/mid density for a city that size!
You should end the monorail in the heart of the dense city at a big public transit hub near the water. That’s where the tram, mono rail, passenger train lines and hopefully subway can all meet.
If it were me- I would just take out the little pocket of low density housing by the little town square thing. Also FYI there is a traffic light at the crossing on the 6 lane road you put in. I think the highway along the coast is realistic... maybe even a three way interchange between the highway along the coast to the right and another link up left to the vanilla highway. I would also start using a pretty strict grid here soon, even with a lot of grid-based low-density sprawl in it. Good vids!
Also, Fishy Face’s 😂 comment is good too with a bit of luxury, low density housing.. maybe just like the coast ur working on now like Fishy said, but then a highway on the other side..
You should add bike lanes to main streets to keep them off of sidewalks. In Pennsylvania, it is illegal to ride a bike on sidewalks in business districts. If the road does not have bike lanes, you have to share the lane with other traffic.
Please keep the little bit of high density right by the water. It might be a little more built up then you wanted, but it looks awesome! Just build more low density where the houses are to make it fade out better.
the highway tunnel exit for the downtown area should go down the middle, that way you can build an interchange to support all the traffic for the area.....
You should save the low density housing for specifically suburban or rural areas only, it looks very weird seeing some small house next to a towering office building.
It's just how flabs is. He said he'd give us ten more episodes on that one season of Cities Skylines, but quit that same episode. I believe it was episode 68 or 69. I think he just doesn't want to reach episode 100 on any series he does. ;)
Hey, I just binge-watched this entire series and I love it! I just wanted to let you know that there's one of the videos missing from the playlist, maybe you can fix that?
No, please remove low desnity zoning from the new downtown area it looks messy. The whole city is filled with downtown zoning already, high density looks way better. Also do a project like adding wonders, aquarium? Music fest area? Tourism/ nightlife? More parks?
Don't build the monorail over the bridge, use ferries instead as it makes more sense and would make them more useful, also will you be building a stadium?
This is late but instead of building Vegas in Sedona why not just build it in this city? You could have a transition area or something going from grass lands to almost a desert type environment.
I’d love to see some more specialized night life and tourism areas throughout the city. Especially near the water I think it could look really nice.
Yes!
I'd love to see more medium and high density on the other side of the river, if anything I'd remove the low density housing
For sure agreed. We need to start doing more high density and start getting used to it, it looks way better.
If it is supposed to be the downtown area it really needs some high density zoning
Was thinking the same thing! 😊 Semaj downtown needs to be higher density😎
Trailerparks in Downtown? Flabaliki, you got to do something here
Don't forget the park aspect you are bringing to this series! Make sure you leave yourself some space for big parks :)
damn, I love watching people commute in this city. IF Sedona is dead, please just do a city tour for hard core fans haha
Upgraded train station is looking sweeet! That area kinda lacks trees though :)
I agree
Resist always putting busy roads by the waterfront. How about pedestrian streets or low density housing like a luxury boardwalk type area?
I think James is being inspired by the way Australian beachfronts are - we do have some houses on our beach fronts but in our major cities, there's often a road along the beach that has light commercial (little stores, restaurants and small motels) on it. thumbs up if you think Flabaliki should post more of Cities (y)
I have the subtitles on and it says ‘hey guys struggling here today’, honestly me.
That green space by the University could use a few sports fields. Football(soccer), baseball and that sort of stuff.
Yes. He should also make a few tiny streets and zone some blocks of higher density dorms. Not much, just few apartments.
You should create an airport if you are trying to boost the population since they bring loads of people to your city
Keep the high density damn it! I’ve been waiting all series for some awesome high density! Lmao!
Tbh I would possibly try and build a downtown with taller buildings (RICO stuff and others) to sorta give your city a skyline. I know a couple really good assets for that.
Could you please suggest some? Dont really know any good ones :/
I don't need a meme I really like the Australia Square tower (RICO), Dirksen U.S. Courthouse, Singer Building, Dewaet Building, (G) Parker Loft, Oxford Tower Warsaw, Dump National Hotel, Kansas City Power and Light Building, 400 West Market (I usually use that for like a city center tower), Teleporto Office (RICO), One 57 [RICO], Tour Incity - LYON [RICO], Three First National Plaza (RICO) Chicago, Zions Bank Building (RICO) Salt Lake City. Deffo replace the houses with high density, not the other way round, in Lilac

On the other side of the river the houses don’t make sense as much as medium or high density would. Houses just don’t fit that area.
You are my favorite cities skylines player
Add more parks like a nature reserve
There should definitely be a nature reserve up there by the waterfall.
Like "(Australian Park Name) Falls Nature Reserve"
Can you please decorate the waterfall with trees and rocks? Dont zone on it please

You should do a ring road around the city centre!
This needs more upvotes!
Do an airport on the tip, like Boston or Nice!
Jammmess don’t put dirty industry right on the water
yes yes, he has to put dirty industry right on the water
If the City Skylines Sedona series done can we have a save file to finish what you started? That would be amazing.
Part 18 needs to be added to the PARK LIFE playlist. Thanks!
I think that the medium and high density should stay in Lilac, and then maybe like a (quite) large central park kind of thing in the soon coming downtown part to break it a bit 😅
Semaj, you've got me hooked... loving it!😎
If Flab was a real city planner, he’d create billions of jobs building roads
i like the idea of the monorail going under the bridge. it definitely needs to cross the river, otherwise it just wouldn’t make sense as the city’s main transit network.
I like the new medium dencity area. I cant wait tell you build the more taller buildings. Thats my favorite part.
Build a nature reserve park, please!!❤️ Love you're videos!!
The medium density looks good.
I really like the Lilac district with the medium density it looks nice to have taller buildings on that side of the bay :)
No! Please don't change the mid density across the bay, you already have way too much low density and practically no high/mid density for a city that size!
You should end the monorail in the heart of the dense city at a big public transit hub near the water. That’s where the tram, mono rail, passenger train lines and hopefully subway can all meet.
Would like to see more green buildings policy on the residential zones

why do i like this series so much....
Flabaliki. Come for the entertainment, stay for the physics defying monorails!
I preferred the monorail going above the bridge road, rather than under it! The new area is awesome :)
Build a massive industrial hub and a massive new park :)
You should add bike lanes to main streets to keep them off of sidewalks. In Pennsylvania, it is illegal to ride a bike on sidewalks in business districts. If the road does not have bike lanes, you have to share the lane with other traffic.
The new ferry stop should have a line to the zoo. This one is far enough away to probably beat the (eventual) monorail.
Please keep the little bit of high density right by the water. It might be a little more built up then you wanted, but it looks awesome! Just build more low density where the houses are to make it fade out better.
can you do longer episodes? I think it would fit the game to play longer at a time
the highway tunnel exit for the downtown area should go down the middle, that way you can build an interchange to support all the traffic for the area.....
You should save the low density housing for specifically suburban or rural areas only, it looks very weird seeing some small house next to a towering office building.
Het Flabikali, you should have the tramroad set the grid for downtown, and make the tram road the only two-way road downtown.
Only one inflow road to your new area from bridge. And it's a tiny corner. I see backup building in its future unless you make inflow bigger
Any more jurassic world videos?
More parks please!
It would be cool to build an artificial island, like the Palm in Dubai
Why not cable car??
I think the mono rail looked better on top of the bridge
you should put some European buildings (not the vanilla one, the custom one) in the downtown in a future episode. :)
Sedona?
Toad Games I did ask for it before, just to get closure on it really :)
Rambo Beans lol
It's just how flabs is. He said he'd give us ten more episodes on that one season of Cities Skylines, but quit that same episode. I believe it was episode 68 or 69. I think he just doesn't want to reach episode 100 on any series he does. ;)
Toad Games he’s said multiple times that he’s not inspired and will get back to it when he is
Charles Anthony it was episode 91...
I appreciate these videos. 👍
Nice vid James
Are you ever going to play planet coaster Again? Please awnser
Hey, I just binge-watched this entire series and I love it!
I just wanted to let you know that there's one of the videos missing from the playlist, maybe you can fix that?
we will get back into it..
also 20000 years later..,the same
Love timelapses!
make a make a six to eight way intersection and do not use one-way roads
15:00 you should do individual rails stacked
@flabaliki - Just an idea, you could put a damn in at the water fall and run your public transport across that?
what a safe monorail
Flab i have an idea, put extra route of the big train station to go to the xown town area (if you decide where to put the down town area)
No, please remove low desnity zoning from the new downtown area it looks messy. The whole city is filled with downtown zoning already, high density looks way better. Also do a project like adding wonders, aquarium? Music fest area? Tourism/ nightlife? More parks?
bro did you colour the monorail lines?
amazing road James !!!!!!!
How do you select with move it multiple nodes?
yeeess I waited so long for this moment, where were you semajjjjjj
James are you going to play two point hospital?
btw i really like the roads in Daffodil Hills, pls don’t change them
Is this on steam workshop? If not please put it on there
make a favela
Please zone really high density on the other side, no high-rise ban and it can look really cool.
Now I remember my biggest complaint about Flab. he overdevelops.
Don't build the monorail over the bridge, use ferries instead as it makes more sense and would make them more useful, also will you be building a stadium?
When you get to the downtown area, can you ZONE the buildings instead of PLACING big buildings
Try something new (by not turning on highrise ban for every district)
What is the name of the map? :)
aramore shores I believe
Luke Martinez Thanks
Isn't there a citywide policy called "Prefer Ferries"? Maybe if you set this more people would use them.
Please make a series were you download cities from your viewers and rate them
Loving where the city is going right now but, Where is jurrasic world???????
More universities please? And are there no rural/farming areas in this game?
Do you start next planet coaster season 3 ?
This is late but instead of building Vegas in Sedona why not just build it in this city? You could have a transition area or something going from grass lands to almost a desert type environment.
Pleas exstand the Monorail
can u post more city skyline
Add high density residential!!
Do a cablecar next to the bridge
flabbbb bring us jurassic world evolution , i want to see more of your fences broken and dinos escape!! :(((
i hope you will build casino in this city
I want to live there
CREATE A PARK CALLED "GeeNee Park". I said last episode also
MORE HIGHWAYS AND MONORAIL
Put another theme park in the Downtown area.
🧡
None of your parks have walking tours
Build an Oldtown
Highways ruined American cities. Do not make that same mistake
To many monorails in my opinion branch transit out.
