I had this idea as a child that adults were monolithic and set-in-stone. Becoming an adult and realizing that people can change in their twenties, thirties, forties and beyond was such a surprise 😳

I’ve heard a million stories on this channel, I’ve never cried so hard. I’m sorry what you’ve experienced, I’ve gone through so much and I’ve also been isolated. Been really mad at my life and I hate to say I kept asking God why me and I’m a little more than pissed. It’s time to grow through it. Stop being mad for all the unfairness of life. Thank you for sharing your story Chris. Youre a strong man.

From what you wrote, it sounds like I'm in the SAME place as you. I need to come to peace with where life has brought me and stay at peace with God and grow THROUGH this.
I just can't take much more. That's my hope and prayer. That I'd get a respite from all the hardship.
      Peace to you too.

This was a very powerful episode, and I admit that I kept thinking Chris was going to say he had started self-medicating to deal with the trauma. Thank God that didn't happen. Chris is a strong survivor who has overcome many times what would have folded most people. I hope the best for him.

Great mindset, I lost a child as well, 17 yr old daughter 💔, tragic passing, and I'm doing the best that I can to be there for my adult special needs son now. Life is very lonely as I prioritize my son over parties or many other get-togethers but I'm really doing all this for the greater good of my son. I wouldn't consider myself religious but I believe in time, I will get through these dark times in my life and the right people will cross my path 🙏 and together, we will be able to help each other get through wherever life wants to take us. ❤

Wow, Mark, my mind is blown away with this one! This is truly a masterpiece of a video. What an absolutely amazing young man! He is so handsome & adorable too lol, but more importantly, so eloquent & well spoken & honestly just so compelling with his story. I could literally sit & listen to him tell every detail of his life from the beginning to now. He is an awesome speaker & you can tell that every word he says is genuinely coming from his heart. Chris, I can’t imagine the loss of a child. Idk how anyone overcomes such a loss. Specially in the way you’ve described. How utterly horrible! I’m so sorry you’ve had to experience such gut wrenching heartaches in your life :( But I absolutely love that you are using your experiences to bring hope to others who may be going through similar situations or just difficult struggles in their lives in general. You are truly an inspiration to the world. I, myself, have actually been struggling with a situation over the past couple of days & was beginning to feel like I was sinking more & more into a downward spiral of depression due to it, & I desperately needed this message of positivity & hope today. I also love what you said about the importance of community. So, Chris, if you see this, please know that you have really brightened my day at a time when I really needed it, so you have helped at least one person lol, though I know you have & will help many, many others with your story. Thank you for being open & vulnerable enough to share some of your life struggles with us in such a sincere & awesome way. You really are such a gifted storyteller. You are so compelling to listen to! Thank you again Chris for sharing your story & also thank you Mark for creating & sharing this video with us & for always using this platform you’ve created in such an inspirational way 😊🥰❤️ Have a wonderful day everyone!!! 😁😁😁

Wow, Chris… I can’t believe how heart wrenching, yet absolutely beautiful and human and inspiring this story was. Thank you for sharing your life with us, and all of the wisdom you shared about the ways you survived all of these things. I related so much to the conversation of isolating yourself when you’re in pain, as well as your sister hiding her shame, it’s so difficult to leverage those who love and care about you when you’re in so much pain that it hurts to live. Truly a beautiful and humbling story.

I had 10 brain surgeries at the age of 36 and have 10 rare diseases that were diagnosed after that age. My life took a fast turn at that time and I've made many changes, including becoming a patient advocate. The universe sends me at least one person a day to help with resources - sometimes a friend or family member, and sometimes a complete stranger. We never know what's going to happen, but we have to embrace it.

"Sometimes the answer is no." Oh wow, isn't that the damn truth of it all?! Chris, you're an advanced soul who was destined to negotiate the complicated landscape of this life of yours with your toolbox of wisdom, intuition, and rapidly acquired maturity already firmly gripped in your little hand the moment you were born. Your insights and good situational awareness are firm evidence of an advanced spirit. Please, please, come back for a second segment, and continue sharing your past, present ... and most importantly, your perceptions and views. Thank you! Chris, Thank You for sharing your story. I listened to it just now. I can relate to it in so many ways. You are being made into a man of faith and love. A wise father, son and friend to others. The journey may be difficult but you know who your true Father is and where this journey is going to bring you. Hold fast, Chris! Be loved and blessed one day at a time. Do not allow bitterness. Be wise, stay open to the love that heals all wounds. I'm so proud of you. Thank you for being merciful and honoring your Mother. You are right about her. When we know better we can do better. When you share these hard things be ready for self care and protection when we talk about the past. Only 10% should be in the past and 10% in the future and the rest of our focus needs to be in our present. Now is all we have. May you know His love and Peace in your daily walk and practice. I am old now. I too have suffered much. I see your suffering in this life. We must suffer but there is joy in the morning. One day we will be in the promised land. The Lion will lie down with the Lamb. Praise God! We will celebrate our long journey of this world will be over. When you can dance and sing and laugh loud and hard. When you must cry and morn. This is the way of this life now. It's OK. Mountains and valleys. Sunrises and sunsets. Love those around you hartily and try to even love those who are still lost. Let your beautiful light shine and thank God for giving you a brain to use so well. As you do. I am so thankful for you. You are a true son. I am smiling for you. Stay strong for your daughter. She does need her papa for her whole life. Thank you!

Sometimes God says NO! Yet Chris chose to accept and “give” and grow and to keep going forward!!
So so many people take the “NO’s” and become bitter. They personalize NO as rejection or punishment, or simply can’t accept “NO”.
They get revenge and hurt others because they are hurt. They destroy other’s lives as they are destroying their own.
Thank you Chris! You are “God touched” and sharing your Grace with us to gain strength from. ♥️

I really needed to hear this story tonight. As i sit here after having a very traumatic week with a major accidental injury and feeling sorry for myself, I am now feeling more hopeful knowing that there are others who are also sitting with major things in their lives as well. thank you for this interview. It is very inspirational.

Amazing interview and what a story ... riveting at times. Got the chills , cried, even healed some, and learned a lot. I prayed for appreciation /gratitude in general at times bc I struggle with being happy at times. I also got some help with that from this interview. God bless him and his family. And Marks too. Great work!!!!

Omg, I can relate to waaaay too much of this, to include a dead son. 😢 My heart goes out to you. Many parts of your story really hit me deep & hurt, as I have a 17 year old beautiful brown boy, and the adversity that he faces, even on the west coast, just hurts me. Your lack of parental love & care hurts as well, and I experienced the same thing. My marriage didn't survive our son dying either. So much love to you! ❤

Great interview. I'm amazed at the life that these people went through. So much abuse & trauma. People having kids...who shouldn't have had kids. Kids having kids...who have no idea how to parent. Just one vicious cycle after another. Generational abuse. 💔🥺😦 Thank you for sharing this video with us. 👍🇨🇦😊 I can't imagine losing a child in a hospital...from someone's negligence. Brutal! 💔🥺😕

You said you can’t control what people have done to you but you can control how it affects you, I pray that you gain the confidence in yourself that you deserve and that God places his anointing on your future I just gave birth to my son and my heart breaks hearing the pain and abandonment that you suffered through as an innocent little boy I am so sorry you were treated that way and the enemy fought you on your dignity and worthiness of proper care and guidance, sometimes we have to thank God for interfering with the enemy however it manifests and allowing us to survive I am so happy you made it and spoke up about your experience God has so much to give you while healing your heart and I pray you will be blessed spiritually and financially going forward so you can heal and nurture that sweet innocence young man that you are the world we live in is unbelievable heartbreaking and those that reach out deserve Gods blessings I wish and I am always working on having the confidence to speak up for myself to receive the blessings that me and my son need but I know God will guide me in the way nobody else can God bless you sweetheart 🙏

He is very strong, but gentle. He gives back. He is reliable and not only uses his strength for others, but is a role model who leds it to them when they need it.
This is what a man should be.

The range of experiences your interviewees share with you is as wide as the emotions I feel listening to them. Some people break my heart, and others amaze me with their strength and tenacity. Either way, I end up admiring, not only the individual, but also the magnificence of the human spirit. These videos should be seen by everyone, especially young people who are struggling with choices and direction.
