I like how the film mirrors the Beatles' career. It begins with rock'n roll, then moves on to psychedelia, social commentary, and ends with a rooftop concert.
It followed history that was the general progress of life during that time. SO it is actually following an era which the Beatles play a massive part in
Oh yes that’s the best part and shows that Jude had gotten help to get Lucy back. And it’s to show that getting help is not a sign of weakness but a sign of strength
Watched this years ago on a train from Perth to Edinburgh. Such an emotional time for me and whenever I see a clip it always takes me back to crossing the forth of firth. Magical house music works
This scene always gets me to break down. All I've ever wanted was a love like this. And now I've found it. I'm so overwhelmed with joy. I used to watch this with fear and doubt. I never thought I could find such a sacred love. So strong and so mutual. I have. And it's with multiple people. I'm open and these people all hold such a different vibration and connection with me, but they're all so special in their own way. And they're coming to terms with my openness, but since I've told them all that I love them immensely, as more than friends, the connections have propelled into stronger and sexier and steamier connections that I could've ever dreamed of. WITH intimacy and vulnerability and honesty. Amongst each one. There's three. But there's one. He's different. He's not like the others. And he's my Jude. His name is David. He's going to be my husband one day, and once that happens, it will be only he and I. I will no longer be open. So David, if you ever see this; this was the very split moment in time that I decided with my entire being; it's you. It's always been you. My twin. My other half. You are going to be an amazing father. The best one that I could've chosen. My love for the others is platonic and romantic, but it's not physical. It's going to be you, and only you. Don't worry, my love. The universe has a lot in store for us; we've only just begun.
UNA PELICULA MARAVILLOSA CON LA MEJOR MUSICA DEL MUNDO, GENIALMENTE ACTUADA. JOE ANDERSON ES UN GRAN ACTOR Y CANTANTE SUBESTIMADO POR HOLLYWOOD... Y JIM STURGESS ❤❤ BRILLA EN CADA PELICULA EN QUE ACTUA.
I felt like I grew up with Jude, Max, and the crew from this whole movie. The transitions, and climax, to ending is so finely scripted. Beautifully written, I cried many tears and laughed many with huge smiles , to felt anger within this whole movie. This has so much energy for a film. Two hours of a trip.
One of the most underrated movies ever. So good. This one should be on tv every week instead of crap showing people getting killed all the time or special effects/no plot garbage.
My friend held off watching this movie for the longest time. Then one day I hear hear crying in her office and she has this scene pulled up, with Joe going “she loves you yeah, yeah, yeah!” And it’s Jude and Lucy looking at each other. Needless to say, I hugged her. It’s such a good film
young me loved this movie, old me kinda hates the hippie movement, but cant help loving the music, the performances, the photography, the era costumes and specially the ending (And Evan Rachel wood is stunning, i dont understand why she is not more famous)
Does anyone know where the version of this song is that has the "she loves you ya ya ya" part layed over it? Ive been wanting it since the movie came out.
This is what makes Alex so wonderful to listen to. He never loses his cool, he just constantly points out where the most eloquent of religious defenders are so blatantly irrational.
This movie would have been at least 20% better if pitch-correction software hadn’t existed when it was made. The song arrangements are actually pretty great, but ruined by that awful over-produced robot voice.
❤ this movie remains a favorite of mine. I believe the Director was a woman who lived in Marin County. I wish I knew her. She created all those wild puppets that are in the movie in her backyard and Woodacre. I think anybody know who I speak of.
Right now everyday in the world needs to stop what they are doing right now and listen and understand this song. Because this song has been sung a billion times but nobody listens. I feel everyone needs to stop what they are doing and hear this song right now I’m very very serious
I saw this movie twice in the theatres I think instead of Bono's Lucy in the Sky they should had just done Real Love using the Beatle recording from Anthology. 2
Them being on the roof makes more sense now after seeing that Beatles Disney special. This secne is better than 90% of the movie. But its not enough to make the movie a 7
Love how the police truncheons are there one minute, gone the next. It would be wonderful if all you need is love worked, sadly I do not think I will ever see that day and at the age of 69 time is running out for me and possible the world as well.
Normally I don’t like when The Beatles are copied by I really enjoyed this movie. My question is did the surviving band members enjoy how well it was done.
So, a Janis Joplin look-a-like, joins a Paul McCartney look a like on a rooftop in New York, to recreate a Beatles "Happening" in London with a Jimi Hendrix and Billy Preston look a like to sing some Beatles songs? And they made this into a film?

Great movie
The rooftop concert was on top of the Beatles’ Apple Studio building.
me too
I will never forgive them for not putting Joe Anderson's 'she loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah' in the recorded soundtrack!!!
Oh yes that’s the best part and shows that Jude had gotten help to get Lucy back. And it’s to show that getting help is not a sign of weakness but a sign of strength
I agree ❤
This is one of my favorite movie endings ever. It just leaves you feeling awesome.
when “she loves you” comes on at the end i choke its so gooood
I love all the little Easter eggs- the homages to Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Andy Warhol, Studio 21 and other cultural icons.
Jim Sturgess can sing!!! A shame that he's an underrated actor. Such a talent!
He sure is, he spent weeks learning the Liverpool accent
He was recently in the Rosemary’s baby prequel, as Guy Woodhouse, kind of! I’m not saying, it’s him, but he is similar character to Guy!
A fantastic film. Very, Very under rated.
When he looks across and sees her and his heart stops. A moment for anyone who has been in love.
One of my favorite scenes ever.
2007 was a hell of a ride
I'd like to say thank you on behalf of the group and ourselves and I hope we've passed the audition.
I don't get it
@@DeathTimer It's what John said, during the rooftop concert.

I knew the Beatles growing up in the 80s.. I learned to love the Beatles from this movie.. a story all should experience...!!
I know people say all sorts of things about this movie, but personally I can’t help but get the feels during this scene.
My all time most favourite film. Just brilliant
man this movie is still badass
I saw it 4 times in the theatre and own 2 copies
I doubt that I'll ever stop watching it. 🙂

Unfortunately enough love can only get you half way there. If it's reciprocated grand slam.... if it's not the pure devastation.
I know right...
The song after the cleared the roof is a song and message we need in current times
All the time even right now I’m being very serious
love the movie, love the beatles, love jim sturgess!!!!
Favorite movie of all times I watch it at least once a month for the past 7 years and my nuts probably never grow up hippie forever
Probably my favorite non-Disney musical of all time! And one of the few musicals I can literally tolerate!
I adore this movie. Ive watched it SO many times. 😊
Omg baheya that’s so weird. Imagine me searching for scenes from this brilliant film and finding you! Wow! Great minds think alike haha 🤣😉 Safeya
Hahaha wow what are the odds! I just LOVE this movie. Da keda keda ;)
Baheya Wael it’s amazing! Tab have you seen Yesterday with Lily James??

I long for a love so deep, a moment like this with someone special.
Great movie.
Maldita escena hermosa
if John Lennon had lived to see this film he would have loved it
He has in heaven he would be very very proud and crying happily because how his songs are used
Así termina la mejor película de todos los tiempos ❤❤

@02:00 Only the greatest song of all time ! #2 Wish u were here Floyd ...
And I’m pretty sure Lennon wrote it in five minutes, on demand.
This is one of my top 10 movies ever
