Every time I watch this scene, all I can think about is Max coming back from the war with PTSD and finding out that his whole support system has fallen apart.
Cause it may be. Max lived his live as very impressive man. And then in this moment we saw his other side across a July's emotions.I dont think that war expressed him more than hit the boll on the roof. As for me, this is very cool emotional story for July. Thanks for your thoughts. Kiss them all!
"Everything below the neck works just fine..." I never caught that before, but Max is so messed up since the war, and nobody even knows. He just keeps supporting everyone around him no matter what.
I'm still mad this movie didn't win at the Grammys or whatever when they had the category of "best Beatles interpretation" because there were like, 5 other similar things during that year. Lol
he has the most beautfiul blue eyes. i forgot what happened at this point in the movie. i seriously need to refresh my mind of Across The Universe. Its one of the best movies of all time
I met Joe Anderson the other day. Really nice guy. Wish I could have talked to him longer but he was checking out of the hotel I work at in a hurry, but still!
the beatles r the best thing that has happened to music and always will be and this movie and the songs chosen are just amazing and definately honoring the memory of george harrison and john lennon!!! RIP
0:50 to 0:56 gave me chills! His thoughtful look with those beautiful blue eyes only being complimented by the amazing song that she sings with her extraordinary voice. Even my words can't describe the feeling it gave him.
Love this movie i cried when jude came back and his old girlfriend asked so who was she and he asked who and she replies with the reason you stoped writing like she knew

Yeah man this Vietnam war is so traumatizing and uncalled for
All I wanted at the end of the movie was for Max to smile again.
Well yeah "everything from the neck down works just fine" remember?

If Anderson doesn’t get offered to play and sing like Cobain in something then the world is stupid.
I wouldn't wish that on someone much less someone I liked.
Holy shit! I never noticed that before
I LOVE the "Judeh Judeh Judeh Judeh!" I love how it fits it perfectly with the song and the film, and it sounds so good!
Amazing cover, great film.
Like at the end of Revolution when Jude keeps yelling ALRIGHT as he gets kicked out.
TBH we all saw this coming the first time he said his name :)
"Everything below the neck works just fine..." I never caught that before, but Max is so messed up since the war, and nobody even knows. He just keeps supporting everyone around him no matter what.
People who upload in high quality have a special place in heaven!

Movie captures the feeling of addiction perfectly. Want, Need, No Control, depression, and hell quitting.
the beatles r the best thing that has happened to music and always will be and this movie and the songs chosen are just amazing and definately honoring the memory of george harrison and john lennon!!! RIP
this is beuatiful..a metaphor for dealing with the trials of war

Best. Bromance. Ever.
The look in his eyes, that's when he resolved to call Jude back home!

Boy oh boy did I have a crush on Jim Sturgess back then 😅
I was 7 when I wanted to marry him
how could someone dislike this video?
holy shit, he could be Kurt on a movie O.O
Excellent movie.
The Beatles would be proud.
They could’ve done a little less with the auto tune, though. What makes the Beatles songs so special is the imperfections and uniqueness
This movie deserves an Oscar!!!!
Joe's eyes ♥
naaaa na na nanananaaaa nanananaaa hey jude
BEST SONG EVER
it would be "last call' much earlier in Liverpool than it would be in NY. mistake?
5:11-5:25 FAVORITE PART OF ALL
JUDY JUDY JUDY JUDYJUDTJUDYYYY!!
Joe Anderson / Max Carrey
I love it.
Todey Maguire / Peter B Parker Spider-Man
Jim Sturgess could be Paul McCartney in a movie. He must be.
Opening To Across the Universe 2003 DVD

Evan Rachel Wood / Lanes Curry
Jim Sturgees / Jude
Joe Anderson / Max Carrey

Yea I think it's right before Hey Jude
Paul and Richie approved.
Why can't I have people randomly follow me singing "nanananana"?
2:20 :Its like stoner vision
The only way to converse when your not on any drugs
OMG!
I love Evan Rachel Wood! FUCKING AMAZING!
0 dislikes lets all keep it that way =D
I want that drum
i would always sing it like that until i realized he was saying hey jude really fast lol
Still fun to do :D
0.58- holy shit. Kurt Cobain much?
i think it was meant to be that way, there's also jimi hendrix, janis joplin and paul mccartney´s references
magic
The volume is so low I can hardly hear it.
The Rolling Stones disliked this.
My new boyfriend looks like Joe Anderson :)))))

Yeah...he does...
@wesleyholcomb they dislike it cause they don't no what good music is.
@spazfall the best part!
I personally think the movie should have ended at Blackbird. Not every movie has to have a happy ending.

Kurt Cobain you sing so fucking beautiful
i always interpreted max as a gay man who was really head over heels about jude... his story felt more like it was about Compulsory Heterosexual
왜 생각나는 건지
Paul McCartney at 1:36 ;)
@lululove22able that was a pretty ignorant comment
