Nothing like the pride when something you built yourself starts and runs
I hope we get to see your wife riding this gem.
It's nice to hear you giving GOD the glory for the ability that you have, let's face it, none of us would be here if it wasn't for the Lord and His kindness. God Speed and keep those sweet sounding motors going.
Amen to that
My 1967 XLCH was my 1st Harley and when it wore out, it was my 1st ground up restoration. I kept it original from the tillotson carb down to the magneto points. Ran good and never broke down. Nothing wrong with stock.
Heck yeah, Larry.
Amen. All gifts come from him!
No plan is the best videos IMO, They look more real not scripted!
Yeah really. Makes for better videos I think.
nice looks great
Makes me want an 883.😎
I ride the '95 version of that bike. I love it. Same color.
Cool, man!
Amazing job! How cool is that.
The "Missus Mobile" LIVES! Kudos for thanking Him for blessing you with the knowledge to build your scoots yourself! Big thumbs up, you guys!
You were running through all the things you did from this day to that day ..
You also painted it all one color ..
Puff out your chest ..
Roll back your shoulders..
You did it ..
There's not a lot of people that can do this ..
👍😎👍
Points will always get you home.................👌👍
That’s right keep him in line . !!! 😬👍
You are quite the mechanic sir. Congrats on the build.
Not really, man. But thanks, D.J.
It's alive, congratulations
Awesome
God has given you a great talent brother. She's sounding good. Congratulations.
Haven't tinkered around on a bike in years. There's no better feeling than crushing your accomplishment and taking that first test ride. Definitely satisfying feeling and one step closer to Redemption with the Mrs...💯
The look on your face when it first fired was priceless ! Good job !
I'm always surprised at an initial fire up.
Taking a lot of parts, and making them all work together, on a Harley Davidson, is a very great achievement,
Thats an awesome Bike !
Couldn't agree more!
A Righteous & beautiful video. Thanks again BrotherMan~~
Glad you enjoyed it
Very cool bike, ST. Have a great weekend.
You too, Brian
I am loving it. Also music is spot on….!!
Great motors.
Loving the sporty, sounds awesome👍
I love it!
Hey Tramp, that’s fantastic! Great job
Hey, thanks!
Great job. Love the Sporty!
Thanks!
Very good job Tramp God bless.
Great job! That sounds good going down the Hwy!
It sure does! Thanks, man!
Hard to believe not even 4 months ago there was just a frame and a motor sitting there side by side and now it's on the road. Enjoyed it.
It's still all your fault! Lol
@@SaddleTrampTV haha
sharpest tool in the shed !!! Hello Misses !!! Happy to see more in the video's !!!
Awesome job. Simple and clean build. Pretty much done except for the few little things you mentioned at the end.
Sounds like it’s running good. 👍
I think that; over time; there will be a lot of guys who'll want a stone-stock factory EVO Sportster. I see a lot of guys hacking up the frames and welding on rigid tail sections. Maybe it's just me -- I don't know. Great work there, Corey! Ride safe - you and your lady!
It's not just you. I've been guilty of doing that myself. Won't be doing that again. But that's mainly how this project came about though.
I agree and we can now say they ain’t makin any more of em...
Amen brother! Nice job on the sporty!
Right on! Thanks!
I love it ! Keep it simple ! Points ain’t all that hard to keep going
💯
Congratulations bruh you deserve it. What a feeling it is to be riding a bike you built.
Like none other. Thanks, Joe.
Awesome job bro
That is so awesome!! Cool video Saddle Tramp!
Hey, man! Thanks for sticking around.
But please let me applaud you for your accomplishment 👏!
Ain't ever biker can do what you can do.
I'd call that a nice little victory. Good work Corey. You're a clever cat!
Thank you, Mark.
love handlebars
Thanks, man.
Very cool Corey. Nice job. Ive got a fuel injected Fat Boy thats kicking my rear end right now. At 67 I cant psychically stay with it long enough to get it finished,Right now I would love to see a bike with a carb ,points, condenser and coil. Take care and congrats.
There's nothing like the feeling you get when you bring something back to life. I'm sure the misses will love having her own bike to ride with you stay safe and have fun
Very cool, thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching!
@@SaddleTrampTV currently not building anything yet. Garage is built. Left shoulder Rotator cuff surgery is done. I'll be ready in April. Still to broke to buy parts. Dangme
@@quickshoe6 That's how life goes sometimes.
👍🏁
It's always good to see an ol school bike come back to life brother.... She sounds good Corey....job well done brother👊🏽😎
It's so good to hear this engine run again.
@@SaddleTrampTV Amen brother🙏🏽🙏🏽
Awesome work bro👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you so much 😀
Congratulations that is a great job.
Build a motorcycle out of Parts not everybody could do that.
Good to see you and Kim in the garage.
If you keep gaining running motorcycles she need to help you ride them.😆
Ride safe.
That's the plan, kinda.
Very cool!! Always a great feeling to get it running! Sounds good!! Congratulations!!
It sure is!
Nice job , Nothing wrong with stock if it fits you and your needs .
You got that right
Ya done good.
Congratulations my friend & a awesome job building the Redemption bike , loved all the videos on it. I bet the Missus can’t wait to take it out on a voyage.
Ride safe my friends and God bless You & the Missus. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
What a great time enjoying your accomplishments! Really enjoyed your videos on building this bike, sounds like you have your priorities right in accordance with your abilities.
I have a mint condition 86 XLH1100 Sportster seeing as they only made the 1100 2 years I hope it’s desirable someday
Nice! Glad to see you got it going!
Thanks!
Nice job Corey on bringing it back to life man. Not a thing wrong with running points, like you said, use what you got and you can always carry another set of points with you. Nice to see your wife in the shop with you to. Ride safe..
Well said!
Hey, it's a Harley, and a good old scooter it is! The Evo Sporty is arguably the best H D ever built.
I have Two. . .
Ride on, friend!
I agree
Nice job man....I built a 1970 Sporty a few years back....sort of out of curiosity, I built the entire bike from bits bought on eBay....
I can dig it. I pretty much built the Tramp from the internet as well.
Good work watch your ignition use 5 ohm coils ,otherwise you burn your wires with points.
Thanks for the tip
Hi Tramp, Try using a 1.4 ohms Ballast Resistor with the points as it may make them last longer. you will need the points coil with it.
Sweet can't wait to see it sounds good I'm still digging that van man 🙂
You and me both!
Nice good
Thanks
If there would be one word to describe you, it probably would be modestly. And although you are modest, and keep excusing yourself towards your audience, you are one serious handyman and you create out of random parts an entire fine running motorcycle... I am very glad you are how you are, instead of being just another screaming airhead, of which, especially on UA-cam, there are many unfortunately. You are the exception whom makes it worthwhile to go see video's on UA-cam.
Say Corey, have you ever seen Footage of Noraly on the UA-cam Channel of Itchy Boots on UA-cam ..? Watch season 6 just to get to know Noraly. This Channel also makes it worthwhile to go and see Video's at UA-cam :-)
Thanks, man. Never heard of Noraly, but will check it out.
👍🖖
Congratulations, Cory, on getting it all together and working!!!! And a very good video!! It's fun to just watch an unplanned one!!
Thank you, Pete
Congratulations on the build. Now you and your wife can ride on your own bikes.
grats on getting it going. good vid man
Appreciate it!
awesome video as always Corey, I'm currently working on my 1988 Sportster getting it ready to hardtail it. it's all stripped down with the engine sitting on the floor and ready to cut in half.
Sounds like fun!
You should be proud of a good job well done . Keep it up . Stay safe .😎👍
Thanks, Steve!
I just picked up a 2010 883, it appears to be a whole lot peppier than I thought it was going to be. I runs on par with the 1200s I have ridden. It is the perfect bike for me, I wanted to get something smaller than my bagger for trips that were not quite so long and around town.
Hey, that's cool man.
Wooot! It’s alive! Thats the best feeling, first start and ride 🤩 U built a sweet sporty there, keep it simple points lol
Thank you, Sally. Thanks so much.
Was good to see your excitement when you had it out for the initial voyage
First takeoff is always exciting.
That's awesome. You are a talented man and definitely have better mechanic skills than me. Congratulations!!!
It's just experience and learning things the hard way. Thank you, Darren.
Congratulations!
Has your wife chosen a color yet?
The only thing I would change would be the drag exhaust…. I’m no expert, but from my understanding you’d get a bit more power with a crossover pipe.
Should be able to pick a stock one up dirt cheap.
My old 883 is running the stock pipes with some old Cycle shack slip ons and love them.
Actually the stock header and balance pipe and the screaming Eagle slip ons make the best exhaust system for the money. I would think cycle shack is close to what Harley slip ons are. You can do better but it will cost you much more.
@@charlesprice7608
But you agree that he’d probably have a bit more power with the stock crossover than with the drag pipes, correct?
@@davidnorris5675 yes, definitely. Unless your spinning that thing up over 7,500rpm. Under that you make more power with some back pressure/scavenging that you lose running drag pipes. I used to run supertrapp 2 into 1’s on my FXR’s. Electronic ignition would also help. That engine was designed for more voltage than points can provide.
ive bean goin thru da ironhead basketcase ive got to line out wut needs to b aquired.
🤘😎🤘
Fun job, isn't it?
@@SaddleTrampTV yeah, tiz. @ least wen ya g0ts m0sta da pieces.
I still wish I knew half of what you know. It looks and sounds very good. Is Kim going to ride that bike? Did you ever think you would have such a stable of bikes?lol. Stay safe buddy.
Never saw it coming.
Great job on the bike.👍👍👍
I also wanted to thank you for that old carb rebuild video you put out awhile back.
Over the years I've done at least a hundred carbs, and I had to rebuild the carb on my 97 WideGlide a couple of days ago.
After 50yrs of wrenching, I was looking forward to doing it as much as I'd look forward to an enema, and in my enthusiasm I completely overlooked the idle jet.
I especially like the way float bowl screws are made out of some type of lead that distorts when you put a Phillips even near one.
Anyway, I watched your video and felt like a dumbass before I tore it down again.
Thanks, and good luck with the bike. 👍
I'm glad it helped out so much. Thanks for being around, man.
@@SaddleTrampTV
Thank you.
I think you're doing more people a service and putting more good into people's lives than you can even imagine. 👍
ground up build! can't imagine how crazy that feels when you're running down the road !!! you're a much better man than me sir! well done as always! 🎉 one question....... does it go 87mph? askin for a friend 😁
😂😂😂
Only for you it will.
Congratulations!! Bad Ass !!
Its alive! The Frankensportster lives!
Good job 👍
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Sweet, good job.
Great little bike mate you must be pleased with it I would be.
I love it when you look surprised that you have done something right. I think I have more confidence in your abilities than you do. Keep on wrenching. You're doing well❤
Thank you, Denny. I'm always shocked when something works.
Just like a kid with a new bicycle 👍
Just about!
I just bought a 1990 883xl this past Thursday!! Can’t wait to get her on the rode it’s my first bike!!
Awesome!
This is cool. I'm in the uk and have one of these 1990 883's that i'm planning to fix up in the spring. Some good info from you on this.
You're lucky that you have the choice over whether to have indicators, legal requirement over here unless the bike is pre 84 (i think?) ....Anyway, good to see it running 👍
Good job sounds good
Love the 76 never can get used to rabbit bars but it's a great bike same color as my 79 iron head yours run great I do miss that sound good luck brother

But they went out with High Button shoes.
Great work man!
Thanks!
Great job 👍🙏
Thanks!
Very cool man, great job!. U gonna put some paint on the tins?
Maybe. Main thing is to have as a functioning and ridable motorcycle.
