We're all good now here on the homefront. A cool front pushed it further to the east at the last minute. All we got was a lot of cloud cover and wind gusts. Thanks, Boomer.

most of the HD channel guys on youtube just make repetitive vids gloating and gabbing about their new late-model Harleys, not even doing their own tooling, but THIS FELLA is one of the few actually doing the Lord's work with his DIY stuff. The modding and building is were it's at, because in 50 years, no one is gonna give a shit about your blacked-out stage 4 M8....it's the benchmade Ironhead custom chopper that'll make the panties drop

Also wouldn't it be a good idea to use a filter temporarily leaving the tank? My guess is that a large fuel filter in warm weather would flow just fine and the pressure guage would confirm it.

i'd have been tempted, while you have Troy's can do ju ju available, to notch the oil tank around the vertical frame member. Would have introduced a new minefield of issues to negotiate, but then if it was easy everyone would be doing it.

Wow, that's a tiny tank. You gonna run an oil cooler? I don't want be a buzz kill but two things to consider at least. #1 Is the oil volume enough to allow the oil to cool. #2 Is having that small of a volume so close to the Head, cylinder and exhaust port going to allow the oil to cool enough so you don't have overheating issues. It looks cool but was it designed to be used on a dependable, long haul daily driver or on a bar hopper/Show bike? We all know heat kills, Ironheads don't need any help in the "It's going to break" Department. ;)
Yes, OEM tanks are close too, but the tank extends much further back away from the hot bits and have more volume.

$50/hr holy crap is that cheap! I could transport my bike down there from Massachusetts then back up and it would still be cheaper than around here. Pill looks good, did you try any newer horseshoe tanks where the oil lines are on the right or were they all too big? I only ask because I love the look of the horseshoe tanks with the solid exposed lines ( those would have most likely been hoses but still cool looking )like on my 2002 Twinkie Night Train. In fact I think the chrome bent exposed lines look sexy, I can’t believe enough people complained that Harley decided to hide them. Imho seeing all of the exposed mechanical parts is what makes them look so horny. Looking good Tramp, keep up the great work! 🏍💨
