Best of Hawaii: Kauai

The opening drone footage is above Salt Pond Beach on the southern part of the island about 30 minutes west of Poipu. The next sequence of shots are from Polihale Beach State Park, which is further west from Poipu and at the end of a heavily rutted dirt road, but well worth the effort to visit.
Wailua Falls is a 170 foot waterfall north and a little west of Lihue.
Kalaulau trail is one of the most scene hiking trails in all of Hawaii. The trail is on the northwest shore of the island and begins at Ke’e Beach, in Ha’ena State Park. The drone footage is from Hanakapi’Ai Beach, about 1.5 miles up the trail.
The dramatic green and red canyon scenes are from Waimea Canyon on the southern part of the island. Near this scenic place is the iconic coastal vista at the Kalaulau Overlook.
The final drone scenes are of the beautiful trees in the rural area surrounding Koloa on the south of the island.
