Love this interview! Been looking at all the recent Ke Huy Quan interviews, and this is my fave so far.
I also binge-watched a bunch of his recent interviews. They all made me so happy. I love it when good things happen to good people like him.
The fact that Ke watches Steven on Worth It makes me so happy
I love how he immediately acknowledges and praises the interviewer if he recognizes them! He did the same to the guy who takes slo-mo pics on the red carpet. So humble and I’m looking forward to seeing him in Loki season 2!
Im not asian. Im cuban. But i think we were used similarly in the 80s and 90s. While characters were often black or white, we were only sprinkled in and usually very stereotypically. Im happy for Ke and I wish he knew how universal the immigrant story of EEAO is. Its an amazing, funny, heartwarming and heartbreaking film. A masterpiece.
I think he knows. That immigrant story commonality was talked about in Josh Horowitz's interview with Ke. (The Happy, Sad, Confused Podcast.)
He's so incredibly humble and he never forgets to thank people. What a wonderful person. And Steven is also fantastic as a host.
Too bad we don't live in the universe where Ke gifted us with 2 decades of awesome movies, but we got Everything Everywhere so that makes up for a lot :)
I fucking love him. I'm so glad he got this role. Weymond is one of the most beautiful, wholesome characters I've ever seen!
I want to see this man in more films
we do too!
I remember watching temple of doom with my mum in the cinemas and was totally wishing I was that kid with Indiana Jones. It didn’t matter what his race was because the acting was so damn great. But as an adult, his performance was a great representation of Asian American talent. America has such great diversity to tap into. It’s wonderful.
Waymond Wang is one my favorite characters ever created. Ke Huy Quang is one of my favorite actors now. His performance on EEAAO was poetry.
Awww this was so wholesome, I loved the mutual respect and admiration/fanboying :D
How cool is it that he was watching you... what a great moment for everyone involved.
Not Ke watching Steven Lim on Watcher. Two wholesome dudes.
Love how Ke Huy Quan said he always felt proud to be asian not just recent years, not after all the succeses, he always was proud and so should anyone with any cultural heritage. 4:37
wow. he had a voice and acting coach for all three characters. Insane. he's a legend.
And he had a movement coach.
Wow the preparation Ke put into this film is incredible - pure dedication right there. Inspiring!
This return of talent has truly been a sign of hope. From online to the big screen, thank you to all the talents who put themselves out there so we have a chance to be seen. To be thought of outside the archetypes we have been assigned to.
I'm so happy for him.
What an amazing, lovely, down to earth human being. I've been a huge fan for ages. Temple of Doom was the second movie I saw in the theatres as a five year old (!!!) immigrant and Goonies I had on Betamax tape and watched it over and over. Ke... I'm so happy for you. You give me hope!!!!!
I love him, he is so sweet. Just like Waymond.
His acting was absolutely amazing in this film. I’m so grateful to hear he did everything he could for this movie.
A M A Z I N G 🔥🌟❤️🏆🎉 so deserving! He put so much love and work into this character. He went all out for this role and perfected it. And it was so awesome that he spoke to Asian media! Represent and promote 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
This interview was.... worth it.
i never realized how tall steven lim was until now
Ke is only 5'4"

THE FACT THAT KE KNOWS WORTH IT OMGG❤❤❤
Such an awesome interview!!! Go Ke GO!!! ♥️♥️♥️👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Steven Lim on the red carpet!
Steven, dish granted for Ke? Could be amazing.
Such a humble man and wanting to give his best. He deserves to win! Congrats!
OMG! Thank you for asking the correct pronunciation of his name! I was wondering about this
He's so precious ❤
I like how Ke has the same accent as he has as a little kid.
I love Ke so much. He is a fan of everyone he meets
i love this for steven! bringing two greats together
Being a longtime fan of Ke Huy Quan, I'm so happy for his success! He's such a warm-hearted, gracious person, and talented to boot.
And also, this interviewer, Steven Lim, is awesome. I'm not familiar with him, but now I want to see more of his content on UA-cam.
Ke even knew steven was friends with Simu, he is definitely a fan. Such a fun coincidence.
What a great speech, this guy is super intelligent and yet humble
I want to see the movie so bad. I just have been so busy with school/work, but I will def rent it on UA-cam or someway I can help them make that money back, bc this cast is a dream cast. I'm soooo sad I couldn't go to the theaters to see this! 😭
It is still screening in theaters.
You releasing this interview now it's making people think it's the golden globes
The collab I never knew I needed!
Ke is such a sweet person. So happy to see him acting
Steven Lim. What a surprise.
Ke Huy Quan is the best…really great answers.
My favorite from Goonies 😍
Ke is great, but I clicked on this video to see Steven. I love that Ke fanboyed out on Steven as well.
The role of a lifetime, taylor-made for Ke!
Congrats on his well deserved success!
I love him so much
Admire his effort and perfection !
Ke has progressed Asian American status by leaps and bounds with his role.
Everything everywhere is so "worth it"
Thank you for this. I don't want to disrespect him by mispronouncing his name!
This guy is a beast. Needs to be un the mcu and the next Indiana Jones.
Quan is in the television series _Loki_ .
That’s great ❤
buzzfeed guy!
I'm Asian America I left America and moved to where Michelle Yeoh is from Malaysia.
What kind of visa are you on and how did you get it? I’m thinking of doing something similar
how are things going for you in Malaysia since you moved there?
@@conbrio27 to Malaysia?
@@conbrio27 I got the MM2h visa, "Malaysia my second home visa"
@@Kipper1997 LOVE it!!! Went to my cardiologist the other and a full blood screening cost me $50! at my private hospital and NO appointment needed. Try doing that in Seattle WA
I am white American. I think of us all as American if we are living here. It's hard for me to notice our differences. I love people from all over the world and always have.
Aside from my experience I just shared.
This movie ... ♡.
Ke Huy Quan ... I loved this movie!
We have been watching you all along. You are on the entertainment loop on our home. You are a part of our family.. Temple of Doom and Goonies is shown regularly here.
Now ... we have Everything Everywhere all at Once added to the loop. This is really the best story told in the best way ... with the very very most wonderful theme ... I have seen.
Thank you Ke Huy Quan for such wonderful stories ... ever.
Please invite Ke Huy Quan in Dish Granted =)
First Parasite now EEAO, finally the Asian cinema takes over.
Steven!!!!! :) :)
So let's not cancel the Golden Globes again, okay? Nobody ever took the show seriously. We all knew they were shady and corrupt. But it still is a great warm-up to the Oscars that gives this talent a chance to celebrate.
That’s Golden Globe Winner* Ke Huy Quan
You need to have Steven cook for Ke...
Indiana Jones fans would much rather have the franchise continue with short round vs Helena. What the hell is Hollywood thinking these days??? Short round is a favorite and we've all been wondering for the last 39 years what happened to him. With the resurgence of ke huy Quan it's a no brainier: either make Indiana Jones 6 starring short round OR make shortound spinoffs. Also, for all your diversity fanatics, it would also check all your boxes too! It's a win win!

Wait, is that Steven Lim or am I alone here seeing a younger version of Ke? Is there some kind of de-age tech use for this interview??? Why is there two version of Jonathan Ke?
Goonies 2 make it happen.we were promised it
I CLICKED CUZ.....STEVEN???????
Haha Goonies never say die!
But do you prefer $100 Bahn Me vs $1000 Bahn Me?
who is this host he looks so familiar
Steven from Worth It
Sorry, I'm late to the party...but who is Stephen Lim?
Started off on Buzzfeed then created his own UA-cam channel called Watcher with two other former Buzzfeed employees. The channel is mostly comedy and Steven's content is largely food and cooking related.
🥹🥹🥹🥹
He kinda look like thinner jackie chan
What event is this?
The Golden Globes
The Unforgettable event, for Asian diaspora
This was at our Unforgettable Gala back in December where we honored Ke Huy Quan with the Actor in Film Award for "Everything Everywhere All At Once"!
Haha Data pichers of hell...oh yeah guys..fully blindas (goonies)
LOL! That would be "pinchers of peril" and "bully blinders."
@Jarrod McDermott I'm wondering, what's in the bag.goonies 2
Whats with all the asian questions? and like all of us these questions are annoying hes human we all deserve love all race do we should all be proud to be humans period! Regardless of.race
What's the problem with the Asian questions?
pretty sure the one preparing the questions is a causacian worker in Hollywood. Like everything is about politics and woke. Dude is so passionate about his job then he has to answer stupid racial questions
This is an asian content channel
It resonates all Asians living in a white western world. Thank you Ke!! I love you. You give me strength and hope.
