    Oh, perfect! I grew my own bean sprouts following Maangchi's instructions. They turned out amazing but I struggled with handling the huge amount of sprouts. Your recipes are just what I was missing. Thanks a bunch!!! 😊 Viele Grüße!

      I grow my own beansprouts as well. You can make a lot or a little at one time. I prefer to make a little and make them more often because they are fresher that way. Who knew you could make beansprouts and have a fresh vegetable even if you are homeless or live in a dark cave (as long as you have a water supply).

    I really enjoy your channel! I tried so many recipes and they are all great! Could you also make a video on how to make homemade furikake ? I also live in germany and I always buy this furikake from the asian supermarket for eggs on rice and onigiri but it is too expensive.

    And if you can't find fresh bean sprouts in your area, it's not difficult to sprout and grow the dried beans if you can get your hands on them. I bought a big bag of dried mung beans online and they lasted almost a year.

    Is there a specific reason you tend to avoid using cheese in your cooking?

    • @taijiskitchen
      @taijiskitchen  2 роки тому +2

      yes, cheese was introduces in our culture very recently, only in the last 70 years. thats why we dont have cheese in our "traditional" cuisine.
      im not avoiding it, but its just not rooted in our culture, yet.

      If dried mungbeans are available in your area you could try to sprout some yourself. It's not difficult at all.
      The sprouts may be a bit thinner than storebought taugé. Still good though!
      I regularly sprout lentils, alfalfa and chickpeas because sprouting is the easiest and quickest way to grow fresh veg. Just rinse and drain twice a day. Ready in less than a week.

      @@dasja9966 Bravo to you dasja! I do the same except I do more radish, cabbage, broccoli, and other vegetables. Those seeds need to be purchased from sellers of sprouting seeds. Isn't it wonderful to know you can go to the grocery store and buy lentils and chickpeas that will sprout provided the store has enough turnover that the beans are less than a year old. After that, germination rates decline. Garden seeds are, unfortunately, not a good choice because they are coated with toxic materials (designed to help the plants thrive) that are not a problem if the plants grow to maturity, but if the sprouts are only a few days old, the toxins are still too strong.
