- You asked and we found it! Or more like it found us. Either way a happy reunion :) The lovely folks @KegOutlet had reached out to us late last year and told us about a product that they'd been working on. An alternative to using plastic bottles when using your carbonation setup at home. Both them and us had been receiving a lot of requests if such a thing existed and not having to use a glass bottle instead of plastic. The creators and owners of Keg Outlet came up with the idea of food grade Stainless Steel Mini Keg Growlers. That has been a filler and a dispenser that comes and attaches onto the growler. We love it and wanted to share with folks the use and ease of this product.
Hope you enjoy the video!

Can the top part of the growler be screwed onto a plastic bottle?
@@wingryda no the opening is much bigger, so it wouldn't fit a plastic soda bottle.
You never mentioned the price, or size measurements; Since you direct us to their website, it is almost like a promotion, which is up to you, of course. As you pointed out, the agitation process is still required for a good fizz. I recognize that 'bubbles' while dispensing are visually attractive, BUT, bubbles are evidence of that precious CO2 gas escaping into the outside air, and leaving (de-fizzing) our precious carbonated water. That can be minimized by: pouring S L O W L Y, and Gently down the side of the glass, so as to minimize the [now unwelcome] dispensing agitation and turbulence. I will be interested in this unit, though its size and bulk and (price??) may tilt back in favor of the tried and true PET 2 liter bottles.. It seems to be a well manufactured and thought-out unit, and thank Keg Outlet for bringing it to our attention. It is, in a way, much like the Aarke Sodastream units, which up-scaled the regular lower quality ones.
@@divingfe these work well especially for those wishing to avoid plastics.
Nice great alternative to using plastic bottles and better for sanitizing your bottles plus very cool looking ( no pun intended ). Thanks for sharing your time and concepts. : )
Nice alternative to using plastic bottles and will be easier to keep sanitized as well looking pretty impressive. Thanks for your time and sharing. : )
Glad you liked the video :)
This is such a great idea! Going to try your recipe with bitters as well!
Hope you guys like the drink 😁
I've seen overpriced stuff from kegworks before, but I think this takes the cake. If you don't need the milk jug aesthetic you can get a similar setup for half the cost on almost any global marketplace or straight from China for even cheaper. It's even cheaper if you don't need extreme portability to just get corny kegs, even new small ones, which gives you more options for utility and dispensing.
I have never investigated any of these types yet, being still wedded to 2L PET bottles; I shall explore, thanks. I keep my 20# CO2 in the garage, along with the regulator, etc; then transfer the charged PET bottles to the fridge, to keep as cold as possible for storage and dispensing. I'll look at the units you suggest in that light.
@divingfe we’ve really been enjoying them!
can you do this with fresh squeezed filtered juice?
Yes you can…. But even filtered orange juice will have some fine bits in it which will cause foam when you open the bottle. Just go slowly and it’s no problem
Does the handle on the smaller growler not prevent the dispensing cap/tap from being screwed on?
It doesn’t actually. We had no problems placing it 😊
Learning a lot, thanks. I went to the keg outlet and can’t find that nice filler dispenser. Can you post a link for that. Thanks
Glad you're enjoying the video. Here's the page with all their carbonation kits: www.kegoutlet.com/carbonating-kits.html
@@NadiaandRob thank you
Thank you. I'll try it again at a later date. How much is the small keg with the handle on it? I mean growler sorry I'm thinking I'm buying one. I have a machine that I think that that growler will fit the Stella Antoine Nova. I think that I'm saying the middle name, right? I don't know. I have a problem with French. Sorry
The 2 ltr growler you want is $164.95 with the faucet. try thid direct link: www.kegoutlet.com/sparkling-water-maker-single-handle-growler-draft-faucet.html
Thank you very much. I'm sorry but I'm going to have to refuse because that's a little too much money that I could afford at this time. I'm sorry about it
I have checked out the website that you are officially talking about keg Lane kegs. I was on their website and their website likes to automatically ask you to contact them, not just once. I mean for all the whole entire thing of the whole entire website I click onto a link of products boom it says contact I go into another area boom contact go into another area boom contact go into another area boom contact. Can you please tell them to stop doing that? And also I was looking for The growlers that you are bonus using on your UA-cam video file. How much are they? And the one that I'm looking for is the short stubby one not the one with the longer neck
Hi Kevin,
I tried the link below, and didn't experience the issue you did. I've passed your comment on to the owners of Keg Outlet, so hopefully they will have a remedy for you.
