The Rise of LEGO Castle Content

- What's one thing many of the most popular LEGO themes have in common? It's a community- with LEGO Castle finally making its triumphant return in 2021 after an 8 year hiatus, The Rise of LEGO Castle Content online has certainly benefitted this community- one that has existed for decades, but has not been in the spotlight like it is now. Today, I thought it would be fun to talk about three of my favorite creators and discuss what they have brought to the scene, and how they are helping grow the Castle community through their work.
Who is YOUR favorite LEGO Castle UA-camr? Let me know down below.

Will you do a video series reviewing one orc set a week or month? Since you said you are trying to collect every single set with orcs in them
Happy New Year
I am still going to do this series but am trying to work out how i want to format the series. (1 set per video or a collection of a few, etc)@@afancylegoskeleton9625
Goldfyre is racist. Made anti slavic videos
huh lol
Appreciate the love! Honored to be mentioned with these other two amazing content creators!
Happy New Year
You deserve it. Tavern Talk and other castle vids are GOATed
I was prepared to be mad if you were left out of this list, Brad. Good to see you getting some recognition.
@@TX_Blake Ayy thanks so much!
Love your videos. I finally got the Blacksmith. You're literally the reason i have that set, cause i didn't know it's retiring. Thank you.
You honor me!!! Long live the Black Falcons!!!! Thank you so much for the love!!!!
You deserve the mention. Army building and your reasonsing behind units has been fun to watch over time
As a 40 year Castle fan, I agree with the premise that the upsurge in Castle content on UA-cam is a great addition to the community. You picked some great examples. All three are wonderful creators. Love Shy’s passion, Brad is just the best there is when it comes to lore with the Tavern Talk series, and Goldfyre is bringing a ton of creativity that really resonates with me.
The dry spell after Kingdoms was rough, but the last couple of years have been really nice and I can’t wait to see the new Medieval Town Square set that’s coming in 2024.
The fact we get so few sets has ironically strengthened the community
lmao that’s so true one common struggle
I am very happy to see the Renaissance of the Castle community when I was a kid of eight or nine was during the fantasy era and unfortunately, I didn’t have money at the time to acquire the sets, but it was a huge fan of the castle theme ever since and dropped out of Lego in 2014 and then came back in 2019 and was wishing for castle stuff to return and seeing it return has been a great joy to me
Fantasy Era was so EPIC! Having lego dwarves and orcs was literally, in the correct usage of the term, dream come true
In addition, Although not 100% castle, I highly recommend the fantasy video of Bybeezon, aka Papa Lego. His creativity to make custom castle armies from multiple parts is awesome.
dude's videos was my sole inspiration to build my own lego fantasy world, I was so suprised he wasn't on the list
I’ll have to check it out
Haven’t had it recommended to me yet / haven’t came across it in my feed
These guys you mentioned definitely have fun and exciting videos. There is a substantial contingent of german and eastern european castle die-hards that do a lot of medieval MOC building. As expected, the 'Castle' theme is far more popular in the area they originated from and this is reflected accordingly on youtube.
Modern youtubers though, should upload consistantly and quite often, to be able to grow their channel and sadly, the older guard of youtubers certainly do not work in this way. Still, quality content is quality content and we still should enjoy anything we can get.
Shy's Black Falcons are epic. The true GOAT of castle army building.
I don’t think I can ever get into castle because of the prices, YEEEEESH!! Doesn’t help with all those dudes making up armies, hahaha in a way I *despise* the community.
Yeah, it sucks that all small builds are released as GWPs and that we only get huge sets. Do better Lego
Nailed it in this vid, gonna go sub and check out your Pirate series
Thank you so much for the support! I hope you enjoy the series.
Great video as always! Love all the content! Happy New Year! Cheer to a great 2024!🔥🤙
Thanks Brickman! You too!
Thoughts are my top 3 goldfyre is my favorite
the content will only be as good as the merchandise. true for many fandoms and movie franchises. it was good seeing shys army in person at Brickworld Chicago. it was nice saying hello to brad at Brickworld Chicago too because being a sucker for minifigure lore tavern talk is a good summary series. tbh I don't watch enough of goldfyre
Hazaa! Forward castle brethern!
I've seen the fall and rise again of the Lego Castle Community here on YT and by Lego as whole. Interesting stuff. Nice video BTW
Yes! It's a good video!
I thought of the 2019 sets because I have the space shuttle 60226 and the other space station with rocket
60228.
Posting this comment/ reply here, because you deleted the space video.
Thanks for sharing. Just reuploaded the video, made some minor changes to account for me missing out on the Mars Exploration theme. I appreciate your support!
Yes, it's the best theme ever! I found recently set 383!
That's an awesome build. What's your favorite era/faction of LEGO Castle?
@@OurToyWorld I collect all interesting and historical Lego sets of multiple themes from 1970 to 1996. Castle is my favorite. I have set 375 and set 383 and now I am trying to find the complete series from 1984, I already have the black smith shop, siege tower, king's castle and the catapult from that year. I only collect sets complete with boxes and manuals, so it is sometimes very hard to find them at interesting prices, otherwise it becomes a very expensive collection! Black Falcons is my favorite subtheme.
Your video helped me find more content creators. Thank you!
anytime
It all started with the goat
I love castle and have enjoyed it sense it returned
My favourite one must be Brad, I love lego lore! However, you forgot one part of the lego castle community, the stop motion animators who bring movies and life to armies like shy's army.
Any good recommendations for who I should watch?
@@OurToyWorld Some good ones are Brick Dominion, Bricktator has a few medieval ones, and Lego Legends is also quite good.
These are just a few, you could search on youtube for lego castle brickfilms and you will find some more. I hope you have fun watching them:)
I'd love to see a Lego Castle fantasy theme brought back!
Me too! Fingers crossed
@@OurToyWorld And maybe we get new fantasy races!
We need a ride in Lego pirate
Yes we do! I may be starting to make more LEGO Pirates content in addition to LEGO Pirates Retrospect.
@@OurToyWorld i am army building the imperial soldiers the blue coats
Hopefully the rise also make some people from Lego wanna make more castle stuff (/^~^\), maybe remaking Yellow Castle \(^~^)/. Dont know why, but I feel it is then best army that have ever been made (^~^)7
I’ve been following these creators for awhile
YES! So glad that you mentioned Goldfyre. He's awesome.
I know! Thanks for watching, what's your favorite era of Castle?
@@OurToyWorld Probably modern, I really like the new lion knights and black falcons.
This channel is so back
And then I left
but now I'm back again
