You know I think the biggest misconception about real life medieval armies is that everyone thinks that they are all the beautiful perfect knights in shining armor. In reality most armies were a colorful and hastily crafted conglomerate of basic clothing, cheap and unprotected helmets, and an assortment of short swords, long swords, pikes, spears, longbows and occasionally horses.
Yup, watched all three videos and definitely thought you won this one. The creativity, actually sticking by the rules (adding two references and 32 minifigures), rebuilding a MOC (which tbh if you had more space that dwarf fortress MOC would be very cool) and finally actually making a medieval army (firebeards army might have won within the parameters of the MOC challenge.... if it wasn't a fantasy army).
I'm with you on liking being able to use armor or complicated air tanks to be able to use more torsos to create more minifies for whichever theme I'm working on at the moment, since I'm not into buying a lot of Lego most the time. I understand the sentimental desire to not take apart certain Minifigures-haha! I'd say Dragon knights arms as they are is good...in this time period, uniformity of armies was uncommon! I like the ida of lightly armed supply troops! I think getting the video together might be the biggest accomplishment!
Great challenge and collaboration Sands! Watched and enjoyed all three videos and it was very interesting to see the different approaches. You have the biggest army but it was a shame you couldn't use them all given the limit of 32. I think I will give firebird the win since he had the best build and his armies were well organised. They have a consistent structure and each faction was at a similar size with animal pairing.
Dang. This is gonna be a hard choice. But personally, I think that Holly's moc is the best. Working on a VERY small budget of minifigures and weapons, while also enhancing the fantasy feel really bodes well in her favor. You definitely had the best army, Firebird had the best budget for a large creative project, but I'm gonna have to go with Holly. Also... being in a similar situation with very few castle figs and just now getting into the fandom, really persuades me to choose that moc. I really like to see how creativity is used, especially on such a small scale. The tree was absolutely my favorite part of Holly's whole build. I just... it felt like there was life and it felt very unique to me. It wasn't embellished with a ton of detail like yours and Firebird's, but it was much simpler. Using existing bricks and really just spending money on minifigure torsos and parts from the minifigure tower really shows that creativity like an average Lego builder (though, I will not assume that Holly is one! She has much more creativity than I do). Though, I will encourage you to continue with that other castle build! I really would like to see the Crown Knights come back! In the end, everyone did a great job with their mocs, and I learned a lot from everyone's builds. But I nominate Team Holly/Lion Knights as the victors in this contest of the builders! Though, I do have a question for you, Sands. How on earth do you get that many Black Falcon minifigures in bulk? I'm trying not to spend toooooo much money, but I really want more Black Falcons in my own kingdom that I am working on. I am also working on setting up a stop motion studio for a little project I may or may not be working on, and those suckers are hard to get my hands on. Do you think torsos would be a good start? I'd love to see another medieval contest by the way! If you do, BrickWarriors sells Stain Glass Window pieces online with the crests of other castle kingdoms if you are ever interested in making an interior moc. I'm thinking about getting one for my Black Falcons.
Firebird already replied to this and so did I, under his video. You can currently buy Black Falcon (and quite a few other medieval) parts from the Lego Pick a brick online shop. Slightly under 3 dollars for a complete fig, which is affordable, but then you need to add accessories still.
@@pinobluevogel6458 Yeah, I know. I just thought I'd ask them from their experiences. I knew about Bricklink, but I thought they may have found their stuff off of Ebay or somewhere else. It's good to ask everyone. :)
Holly Did I Great Job. I Grabbed A Lot Of Them When I Was Working At Lego And Had A 50% Discount. As Pino/Caleb Said, I Also Got A Number Of Them From The Online PAB. Getting Just The Torsos, And Using Generic Legs Would Help Save A Good Bit.
I really like how you made the moc with all the little details and once I finished the video I realized you had been in a handful of mandrproductions videos.
They are great minifigs, if you don't play chess with it, why not use them for something? Even just a Moc with a bunch of terrain and plants with these guys on it could be very fun.
Awesome fuuny video 8:20 great looking faction Your army is the best IMO On the bright side you have tons of medieval minifigures for other MOCs and videos
This is a superfun challenge, so far I have seen a few of Holly and Firebird's videos, but I wasn't familiar with your channel. I think you didn't show off your build enough in the video, it was very hard to see what exactly the end result was, so for that reason I don't think you won the challenge. I do however, like the different armies that you made and even the base of the Moc itself, including the first attempt that didn't have room for figures. It wasn't near finishing, but I do really think that the shape of the rock and pathway was interesting and had good base detail in the groundwork. (much more involved than what Holly and Firebird made) So in the end I think you did yourself short by not showing off what you built nearly as well as your competitors, but it was still a very well edited video. Hopefully your channel has more interesting videos like this one in the future as it is worth subscribing to for sure.
I'd say you won sands. I like the build. Holly easily grew the most as a builder so you can argue she won. Firebird had an elite moc like always. The orc ladder he had stood out but imo doesnt beat this. Although his armies are arguably the best.

I think your MOC won, and I like the lore you add behind each army.
I'd Like To Agree
You won fo shure
Did u watch firebirds
Dont get me wrong its still very good but firebirds is just bigger and a little more detailed
Yours was my favorite. It would have been fun to see a summary / wrap up / winner video with the three of you.
The Moc turned out great and The different sections of the Black falcons seem extremely well thought out, super cool. :)
That Black Falcon army was definitely a great army. Really balanced and all the units are unique, but uniform enough.
Thanks
All I have to say is that your rebuttal is great 👏 major kuddos!
your videos just keep getting crazier and crazier sands, great job
Thanks, Glad You Like Them

Yea - I’ve played my chess set zero times and still afraid to mess with the figures. You give me hope

Tbh yours is the best army wise and moc wise :)😊
Bro, DaleyBricks' video about making a medieval Lego army in 7 days was literally the one before this on my feed
I’ll admit this was a pretty banger video
Glad You Could Admit It
And I love your videos❤
This is amazing I have limited parts and still couldn’t do something like this
I'd say you won sands. I like the build.
Holly easily grew the most as a builder so you can argue she won.
Firebird had an elite moc like always. The orc ladder he had stood out but imo doesnt beat this. Although his armies are arguably the best.
When you scrape the bottom of the barrel, you get random troll's pieces. Great job Sands! (its better than I could ever do)

@@SandsGC I would believe you 😂
I think its ok to do that to bulk up your army as long as they have the correct colors underneath.
Fire bird had the best tbh, but yours was the second best. Nice build tho
Great music choice
Maybe the blue ones could just be like super elites
it's hard to pick, honestly from the three of them. i like sands castle, because it's very well laid out. the other two, did alright, really.
