"Finally, a worthy opponent. Your battle will be legend- oh." That reference had me wheezing. And now it makes total sense how Tai Lung was so athletic.
Fun fact: Snow leopards were initially thought to be critically endangered, but nowadays it is believed their numbers to be much higher. The combination of being almost invisible in their environment, and said environment being so inhospitable to humans made so we had a much lower number of individuals counted in the past.
Still, stupid poaching for furcoat and ancient Chinese medicine from snow leopard paws is stupid af. At least Snow Leopards are invisible af in their environment.
That's actually really nice to know. I was under the "critically endangered" impression, lol. Awesome knowing my favorite animals are likely still thriving.
Saw a baby snow leopard at the zoo. She climbed to the top of her cage (like 30ft in the air) for no reason and fell like 15ft while trying to climb down. Zookeeper was watching with us and was like, "She's fine. She does this all the time."
I love the moment at 6:29. For anyone unaware, the goat-things a bharal, snow leopards' preferred prey when available, and are also known as "blue sheep."
I really loved how you didn't make the snow leopard paw medicine work even for the sake of fiction. Thats an appreciable step against the fake stereotypes that lead to these beautiful animals being killed.
I remember being a young animal loving child and seeing a program about the snow leopard and hearing that they had fat in their tail so they could survive without food for longer periods of time and thinking that they ate part of their tail. Fun times
I’m not a cat person, but the snow leopard is my favorite animal. Last time I went to the zoo, I asked my girlfriend at the time if we could see the snow leopards after her favorite animal, the giraffe. When we did, she was very surprised at how geeked I got. I got more hyped than she did with the giraffes. I don’t know why I like these animals so much, I just do.
Please do a red wolf! They are critically endangered and any coverage of their species could actually help them a lot! They are the most endangered canine in the world!
Well, it is called your life as a snow leopard. So it’s supposed to be you as the animal. It is very cool though. Makes it more engaging in a way, I like it 😁
Snow Leopards: “You knew I was the Dragon Warrior! You always knew. But when Oogway said otherwise, what did you do? What did you do?! Who drove me to roar until my vocal cords cracked?! WHO DENIED ME MY DESTINY?!”
@@Foxfuzzer46 North China leopards don't have the same pale fur colors that Tai Lung has. North China leopards also live in forests, not mountains, while Tai Lung seems to be very well adept at climbing steep and rocky surfaces.

I live in a city that regularly reaches temperatures over 115° F during the summer, and our zoo has a snow leopard. She is one of 3 big cat species at the zoo, and you’re by far the most likely to see her. She is always heat stressed and spends a lot of time near her water feature, but she remains alive. It is impressive how these cats can survive in the harshest conditions. I’m sure her inside area is air conditioned but she spends most of her time outside, in view of guests. Her huge teeth are quite the site.
