      Personal Development is one of the best things you can do for yourself - because, we as human beings, we’re supposed to embrace growth!
      So make sure you find your Purpose in life - whatever it might be, and work on it daily, and continue to make progress, because progress is - really the key to happiness.
      But don’t do it for any girl or guy, make sure you’re doing it for yourself - and just be happy!

    I think the weight thing is particularly important. Being overweight has a very visible difference on the way your face is perceived. You can look at a person's mugshot without seeing their body and you can determine if the person is overweight or not. Fat has a tendency to make a person's face look puffier, softer, and less defined, which ultimately makes the face look less masculine.

    • @thecowboy9698
      @thecowboy9698 2 роки тому +27

      Being extremely slender can also be detrimental, as far as looks go. I would say that for any guy who struggles to put on weight, and there are those that who no matter how much they eat just can't seem to gain much, I would say to start working out.
      You might not be able to put on much weight, but that doesn't mean as a skinny guy you have to be weak and scrawny. You can build yourself up and get in shape.
      Don't compare yourself to guys like Arnold Schwarzenegger, and start to feel self-conscious or like you're lacking, because not everyone can look like that, and genetically, we all are unique. You can't control what gifts or lack thereof that genetics has given you, but you can decide what you do with what you've been given.
      Also, remember that not every girl goes for the same type of guy. Some like tall guys, some like short guys, some like clean-shaven guys, some like bearded guys, some like body-builder guys, others can't stand those types of guys, and the list goes on and on. So don't compete or compare yourself with anyone else, except the man you are right now.

    Singing, and I mean singing your heart out, taking vocal lessons (online if you're shy), and all that, is great facial training. It's helped my speech patterns and my mannerisms and facial elasticity in my daily life immensely. Despite being overweight (having a bit of a beer gut, and man-tits) it chiseled my neck and my jaw, and women do not treat me like a chubby guy when I'm clothed because I've got that definition, and I'm not spheroid like the guys who have really let thsemlves go, I'm more rectangle, but broad shoulders and big arms. I'm a bear / dad-bod, just not a gay-bear.
    There are very few things human beings can do that are more naturally more charismatic than dancing and singing, and repetition with both (not to the point of stress-injury) will chisel your activated muscles, and keep your used joints elastic. So, when people teach vocal lessons they say you shouldn't be straining / pushing your voice more than 2 hours a day. And people tell you to work out, they mean 15 minutes to an hour a day, or two a day. Both of those habits is going to put you in a body/face fitness routine. The only ones that need to push beyond 2 hours are people doing it for a living, athletes and professional vocalist, even if they got to take breaks from what would be considered "intensity" to avoid exhaustion and body fatigue / vocal injuries. Even if you don't sing for other people, having that ability to project and speak loudly when you need it is great because it reaches out to people at a distance, creates an impression. (Good or bad, depending on the interaction, and personalities involved, obviously.) If you do sing for other people in public, it will attract social interests, even if it doesn't attract big label deals. It's a good filter, people who have no interest will just ignore you, people who are natural assholes will potentially heckle you, and people who think they'll like you, or can help you, just come right up to you after.
    I've been public and private with it at different times of my life. When it's just a private thing, I keep doing it for the benefits of all the related things, because the things you do, and the things you don't do shape you, inside and out, and I've let myself go enough times to know that's 100 percent true.

      Agreed, all these neck exercises just increase tension on your larnyx - Jaw exercises may increase Jaw tension, which furthermore lock the throat, hurt the larnyx. If you're a serious singer, breathing is important and you need a flexible abdomen wall. That means getting serious locked and tight Abs will restrict the air flow. Yoga, stretching, Cardio, lifting light weights - These are the ideal workouts for a singer. A serious singer would avoid incorporating any physical exercises that has to do with the mouth, Jaw, Chin, Neck. The tongue for singing must not be on the roof top of the mouth. The tip of the tongue must sit comfortably on the lower teeth, while the upper back side of the tongue must be slightly raised towards the hard palate. The tongue is a big muscle that obstructs the voice with it's tension, it must be handled with care. I have never seen any serious singer looking like a ''Chad'' with great abs and pertruding facial features, this is because these types of features are incompatible with singing. Think for example Elvis Presley, he did not look like a Gigachad, baritones will have a taller neck with a more apparent adam's apple while tenors will have shorter necks, usually thicker. The thickness however is natural, for God's sake, no singer should try those neck curls with a weight. If you're not a singer, then I guess it's fine, but why would you put tension in the larnyx even for people who don't sing is beyond me. If we think about the great sex symbols (Singers) of the 1950's, all of them had a round face, sometimes on the chubbier side. Think for instance James Dean or Elvis, they surely didn't have the sharp Jaw that is considered attractive today. Singers don't need to train their necks and facial features to get that highly chiseled Jaw, it's unproductive to your voice, puts tension in your face. The power to sing must come from the flexibility of abdomen, training your face, only adds unnessecary tension in every part of your face. You can be a charistmatic performer without being a Jaw-chiseled God. If you're a singer, I recommend, stay fit and healthy, radiate confidence, you got a pimple on your nose, learn to accept it as part of your unique identity. Performers need to radiate uniqueness, if every performer had a Jaw-chiseled Jaw, you would just be like everybody else in any industry and that's not what music labels and producers are looking for.

      @tixeright9120 2 роки тому

      @@giosueagius7003 I alternate tongue placement during the day, (its relaxed if I'm resting, or singing, and it's up if I'm walking or running, lifting,), but yeah, you're right, it doesn't give you the same muscle angles in the fact that just working out and keeping upper tongue placement does. The plus is not having a second or third chin, but the face is not the "chiseled" and "stoic" look of a pro-body-builder or mma fighter it's definitely given me a rounded look, with lots of facial elasticity, like Gomer Pile or Elvis. But if you see guys that just look at screens all day, and avoid social interactions and public performance as much as possible, and don't have anything to do with education or sales either, they don't have animated elastic faces, everything is all kind of flat and droopy, it's like high levels of anger, frustration, and sadness is all the emotion they can actually project, and everything else is a deadpan delivery, none of which creates 'good vibes,' and if they are overweight as well, they will have 2nd and 3rd chin. So tech addiction is something I've also avoided... I play games, and use computers and phones, but I take vacations from those things, just like I take vacations from work.

    Courtney was correct on Sunday about the tongue scraper. Modern ones have rubber bristles on one side. Also when you breathe through your mouth while you were sleeping, you are more at risk to have your tongue collapse in your throat causing you to wake up in the middle of the night interrupting a sleep cycle and messing with your hormones. If you don't want to pay for a sleep apnea machine, learn to breathe through your nose. I have been for many years now and you will notice improvements in your overall well-being

      A fun side effect of CPAP machines...they force you to block your mouth's airway with your tongue or else the machine's air goes in your nose and out your mouth, leaving no additional air pressure for your lungs, which is the entire point of the machine. I don't even notice it until I think about it, but my tongue is always jammed up on the roof of my mouth now no matter whether or not I'm trying to sleep.

    Another one is to smile at yourself in the mirror. In a previous video Courtney talked about standing up tall with good posture and it how it changes your mood to feel more confident. Same thing here. Force a smile and make it super cheesy and look at your face while you do it. It’s borderline psycho serial killer level stuff to an outside observer but it does make you feel happier and also feel better about your smile if you think you have an “ugly smile” like I did for a long time. 👍

Grew a beard, tilt his face downward, and posed with the his eyebrow in an upward fashion like the Rock Dwayne Johnson. Sure he also worked out, lowered his body fat percentage, but his ‘face’ is practically the same.

    Also, working out is really what makes my face a little attractive.

    I am so glad you did this video. I got great ideas to implement and a reminder of things I need to do again. Increase muscles increase testosterone level. It’s really important for men after the age of 30 to incorporate weights, because men lose about 1-2% of testosterone production. Low T causes a lot of health, and mood issues. I would like to add that the fastest way I feel I increased T is eat more calciferous vegetables and workout the thigh muscles.
    I need to work on my neck muscles. Lol. It makes sense. He helped me correlate to the part of attraction that is subconscious in all of us. For example, men subconsciously attraction to a woman’s hip to waist ratio, because it signals fertility. Shoulder width improves men’s attractiveness.
    There is a YT video I save 5 years ago that provide great facial exercises.

    Really good video and I agree on all of the points presented. It can be tough to put in the effort, but at some point putting in the effort becomes easier than living with disappointment or discouragement. The exercise aspect might be the toughest to begin, so just start with the easiest things and go from there. Trimming your beard might be easier than thinking positively. If you don't have a beard and struggle with thinking positively then work on breathing through your nose instead. You can do it!
    Thanks for the video, Courtney!

    • @spacelinx
      @spacelinx 2 роки тому

      I never thought about it, but some probably do. I think it’s mostly related to proportions. Like chairs, tables, and doorways are designed for “average” people. If a person is taller than that average, they may have to or feel more comfortable to bend or lean over more in order to write, eat, or otherwise sit/lean at the table. When going through doorways for “average” heights, if they’re too tall, they’ll have to duck down to not hit their head. I reckon they just get used to lowering themselves so don’t even realize or think about it being life. My brother in law was like this because he was almost 7 feet tall and had to duck a lot when going through a doorway and leaned over at the table more for physiological reasons. I myself am just under six foot, but hunch a lot because of asthmatic breathing as a kid. I had to hunch my back over a lot to get air during the distressed breathing of asthma attacks. It’s something I do without thinking about it much of the time., even now.

Women actually notice me and talk to me now. It’s wild. Everything happens for a reason.
    Also, something else that wasn’t discussed in the video but Courtney has touched on in the past. Guys, dental hygiene is so important to an attractive face, which is something anyone can fix. I had some crowding up front and I finally started Invisalign earlier this year. Only six more months to go!

    The thing about head posture is actually really important for women who have conscious or unconscious issues with their chests. I was taught to be "modest" and it made me naturally try to minimize the projection of my breasts by hunching over. Subconsciously, I think I wanted my face to be in front of my boobs. At some point, however, I realized that letting your breasts lead you forwards instead of your chin looks so much more confident and poised and attractive. Posture doesn't stop at the neck, of course, you should consider the straightness of your spine, the arch of your back and booty, and the sway of your hips as you walk. All these things affect your poise and deportment.

    Coming from a 48 year old attractive (at least that’s what I’m told) guy here. The video makes some good points. 1. 10-12% body fat is virtually impossible unless you are super strict about avoiding all inflammatory foods and insuring you maintain nutritional sufficiency. Exercise alone won’t do it. Steroids will. (Let me add here that steroids are NOT necessary to maintain 10-12% but they make it way easier unless you have great genetics...that's for the commenters who can't understand English. I don’t take them but I’m happy with my 2-4 pack abs.) I was overweight until I discovered I had celiac disease at 29. Dropped gluten, then most cow dairy and all sucrose (sugar on labels). My strength level at the gym shot up. My body fat dropped. 2. Weight training. This is super important. Strength training is what makes your body look good. Your body responds by producing testosterone and muscles look good. Women go for broad shoulders and a back that tapers to the waist. I have very broad shoulders and a naturally thicker waist. 41”chest/33”waist at 5’9” height. 3. Posture makes or breaks your look. People tell me they think I’m 6’ because I stand up straight. Shoulders back and down. Head up, chin level. There’s a 26 year old supermodel looking woman at my gym that doesn’t look as good as another woman who has to be 60. Both have fantastic physiques, but the 60 year old stands like a dancer or a model. The 26 year old cranes her neck forward, maybe because she’s tall. 4. Neck thickness. I agree a certain amount makes a difference because it did with me. The best exercise I found was from a wrestler. Hold your palms to your forehead. Tilt your head down. Push with your hands while using your neck to try to stop your hands from pushing your head up. Do this on both sides and from the back as well. One or two sets of 5 reps each. Be careful. You can strain your neck if you overdo it. You’ll see a difference in as little as a week. 5. Beard. You only need a beard if you need a beard. I sometimes let mine grow for a week to get the stubbled look. I always shape it at any length. Shave down from each ear, then across the neck. His different lengths is interesting, but I’m not into looking like a pirate. (Did get a lot of “holy sh-t you look like you came off a pirates of the Caribbean movie” when I grew my beard out for 6 weeks for a Halloween party once. 6. Tongue placement. No idea. I broke my nose like 5 times before I finally had to get it fixed. My jawline isn’t super dramatic, but it is there and I don’t have an underbite. I notice eating the wrong food, like one bite can change the shape of my face as it becomes bloated. 7. TMJ - Courtney, take B 50 vitamins for a week and see how it affects your state anxiety. Low B vitamins absolutely affect state anxiety. (I co-wrote a medical reference on celiac disease.) If you feel better, add beef to your diet. You can also get your nutrient levels tested and get tested for celiac disease. If you have tested positive in the past and are already gluten-free, get tested for malabsorption. 8. Conclusion: 1. Avoid inflammatory foods and eat foods that work for YOUR body. 2. Put on muscle. 3. Stand up straight. Chest out. Shoulders back and down. 4. Train your neck by pressing with your hands. 5. Beard only matters if your face needs it for definition. Definitely shape it. 6. Tongue placement. Can’t hurt. 7. Make sure you are nutrient sufficient. Malnourished is different from undernourished. You can be fat and malnourished. Most people are...

    He literally just aged and grew into his body while taking good care of himself. This happens for lots of guys naturally when they hit around 17-19 and that’s probably how it went for him too. He grew a beard to mask a sub par jawline which lots of guys do as well. Him cutting his body fat minimally affected his face honestly. You can’t change bone structure or genetics, although chronic mouth breathing is a problem I think it’s only an issue if you’re doing it ALL THE TIME or more often than nose breathing.

    • @mck7646
      @mck7646 2 роки тому +6

      Yeah most of this is absolute nonsense in my opinion. You're either an attractive man or not, and there are ways to tell this other than just looking in the mirror. Such as the way people treat you and your success with women. Plus a long neck is seen as an attractive feature but I guess this guy says a wide stumpy neck is good because it means other men will be intimidated by you, just what? Why is it framed that way? Being jacked and intimidating isn't what makes a handsome man. It is things like face structure, hair, and height. Meaning your genes.

    Also you can create a current of energy connecting the upper and lower part of the body. Close your eyes and oscillate between breathing through you mouth and then nose only. When you're conscious of it sit tall "as if a string is pulling your head upward."
    Some of these practices in this video are just affective ways of using the body to live a healthier life. Yoga practiioners and occupational therapist and doctors literally say the same exact things. So many things improve when u lengthen the spine and breath. Great video.

    Hahaha, there's definitely no hope for me. I had very little chances when I was in my prime in my 20s, so now entering my 50s, it's game over.
    That's no "black pill" bullshit, that's just facts. You can't fight the aging process. And you REALLY cannot fight BAD GENES.
    Well, maybe you can, to some degree, and some will fare better than others, but it's no guarantee any corrective measures that late in life (or ever) is gonna work. Sometimes you just get dealt a hand, it sucks bad, it's not even worth trying to play it cos it's so bad (but you do anyway, and LOSE AGAIN), and that's all there is to it.

      If there’s any chance of improvement, like 1%, that’s improvement and it accumulates. Improvement is improvement. I didn’t start say facial exercises until well into adulthood long after your face is “fixed”, 3 times a week but just a facial flexor first, was just a month when people commented. Now I do simple things daily that take minutes. Women well into adulthood do these things to improvement. Your goal should be your best peak you, Hamzas goal is to be peak sustainable Hamza.
