    I have always been healthy , working out , eating healthy , never smoked , no alcohol or drugs . Done sports all my life . Last year I got cancer , with spread to liver ! I was 2 months away from dying . Did some chemo , but started a very strict regiment with water fasting , vegetables and juices . Recently did a CT scan and the metastasis has grown !!!! After everything I did and what this guy says , I should see a reduction , NOT a growth . It's all individual results . Im gonna WIN , but this will take longer than I expected . Great videos , thx for posting

      ​​​@@pingle37Define what eating healthy means to you? If that means eating lots of plants, it's the complete opposite. Eating lots of animal foods would be healthy. Also vegetables and juices are one of the worst things you can do in that condition. No wonder the metastasis has grown.

      Ultra processed foods kills.

    Personally i think stress is a much bigger factor in cancer forming then what we eat.
    Some people eat crap, smoke there whole lives and live well into their 90s.
    Others eat clean and live healthy and still get cancer.
    I have seen this first hand. My auntie her whole life has never smoked, runs marathons and is a pilates teacher, has had cancer twice ( breast and leakumia ). The leakumia she had when she was young and the breast was later in life. She had a very demanding job as PA to the mayor of london.
    My father on other hand smoked his whole life, never exercised, ate whatever and never had cancer.
    The only difference between the 2 is that due my fathers poor lifestyle he suffered chronic conditions such as gallstones, kidney stones and eventually diabetes. Whereas my auntie does not have the chronic conditions.
    My brother died at 39 from cancer, non smoker or drinker but had an incredibly stressful time in the years leading up to his cancer diagnosis and he was utterly convinced that it was the stress that caused the cancer.
    My thoughts often come back to the rice experiment. Negative energy causes the rice to go moldy quick but positive energy makes it stay healthy much much longer.
    People should focus more on wellbeing then predominantly on what they eat. Of course eat fairly clean but dont completely deny yourself the things you enjoy because enjoyment creates happiness.

      I agree…to a degree. I’m pretty laid back, very active…and diet not too bad….still got non Hodgkin’s lymphoma at age 40..type of blood cancer…4 years ago

    This is why UA-cam is great. I only understood this fully when I watched 4 different doctors from different approaches explain this in each's own style. The best way to learn is via multiple teachers.

    You make a lot of sense. I have seen it first hand. I was prediabetic, had arthritis and general aches and pains from not being active and eating processed foods. I cut out the bad stuff from my diet and started walking briskly every day. I started slow: 2500 steps and built it up to 12000 deliberate steps daily at a brisk pace. I have shed nearly 20lbs and I feel way more toned. I feel so much better that I crave my daily walk.

      Agree, I’ve noticed more weight loss from walking than any other type of exercise. Along with calorie control and good diet.

    Another good tip: If you do indulge in some sugary treats, do some physical activity right after eating (walking, pushups, ...) and also consider eating something with fiber along with it, or things like lemon juice, cinnamon, ACV and even water. These things will help blunt the Insulin spike.

      You can burn sugar. It’s the bad seed oils hydrogenated fats that are far worse you can’t burn quickly.

    I've been saying this for a long time. If you dont educate yourself on foods and exercise, you end up with health problems and changing becomes more difficult. Most people are contempt with taking a pill to make their problem go away. Imagine the money that could be spared and used in other areas if people were educated and prevented a lot of problems

    My dad has a colleague whose late wife was a vegan. She died of COLON cancer. Quite honestly, I believe, stress is the most important factor when it comes to the Big C and diabetes. Of course, we can gamble and improve our lifestyle by cutting down on processed foods, sleeping 7-8h a night, and doing some light/moderate exercise. But it doesn't warrant a long life, unfortunately.

      @@samreh6156 In all likelihood it probably means unhealthy unless the person has done a tonne of work to make sure they're getting the correct nutrients. Vegans can technically be healthier, but most people don't put in the work or research to sustain a healthy vegan diet

      Vegan food too can be very highly processed and is often full of seed oils which are a known carcinogen. Examples are oat milk and beyond meat, just to name two.

    I don’t understand this recurrent narrative that people, including doctors are not talking about how to prevent diseases. Are there really people who don’t know at this point that exercise is good for the health? That we should eat more veggies and less processed foods? Like, where are these people living? What I think is more likely is that people know these things but it’s hard to have the discipline to do the right thing for our health. And then when shit hits the fan we would rather blame the media, doctors or the government than admit we’re paying the price for our choices. Obviously, that doesn’t mean we don’t all deserve compassion for developing preventable diseases, but still, why pretend it’s because healthy living was some sort of well kept secret?

    A lot, if not all, it takes education. A knowledble society becomes a healthier society.
    What's sad now is there are so many doctors are still trained to treat the symptom with medication.
    It's been so hard to find a doctor that understands preventative medicine. And that food is medicine.
    But as society becomes more aware, over time, the medical symptoms and our habits and how we grow and prepare of food will follow.

      They are eating chemicals and substances in the place of food thinking 🤔 its food...
      We need to go back and teach people what food is and help them understand that sugar and sweetners and processes stuff and packaged stuff and most of the natural thing on supermarket shelves labeled as food ain't actually food...
      We need that basic information as of now...
      Even educated folks don't grasp that...
      People are busy shopping for poison thinking iys food...so sad..!!

    I think problem is stress, something that Gabor mate says in his books and speeches. It’s not food etc. it’s daily stress we live in, that cause our brain send signals to our body that we don’t want to live anymore in this shit
    Most of all those illnesses come from cities, they didn’t exist before.

      I just mentioned the cities...
      Cities are healthy hazards starting from displaced from burroed cultural practices...
      We dump the food we grew up with and rush into Mexican, Indian, Chinese, Mediterranean restaurants, african....that's what we get...stick to what you're, know where you come from...
      One thing that has shock me is each time Iam ain't feeling very well...when anything strikes a fever or flue...the first thing I crave is the foods I grew up with...my natural food...from my place of domicile where I come from
      That's what I crave...and I after I have such meals my body and the whole system is at peace...!!
      I can't explain that enough...if you're not Indian or Chinese they food is not for you...
      Forget about this Lebanese restaurant in town you ain't Lebanese....
      Lebanese food is Lebanese let's get this through our heads...!!

    most people know exactly what to do to help health what Mr. Lieberman says is very true. In my healthcare profession I see 40 something, triple bypass and after near death back to smoking and drinking less than a year later. How do we change that mindset?

      its chaging habits not mindset. The best way is to replace them. E.g. Sport instead of alcohol. There are books about that topic. Just that 90% of people are unable to change longterm habits

    He's right, but he didn't discuss genetic factors in the cause of cancer, which are important on whether you get cancer or not. He also didn't discuss gut microbiome, which is very important for having a strong immune system.

      Check out Dr Thomas Seyfried. Cancer is caused by mitochondrial dysfunction. He argues against the somatic gene theory and it’s very compelling.

      The immune system attacks and kills the spike protein within a few weeks. It doesn't live on in the body forever.

    Can cancer be prevented? Yes, but only to a certain extent.
    I think Lieberman is spot-on with how cancer comes about (i.e. 'natural selection gone awry, hormonal imbalances) and its prevalence, but the interplay of factors is much more nuanced than what this interview can convey. Stress also seems to be playing a greater role, besides diet and exercise. More importantly, we need to remember that there is nothing to date that can reduce the probability of cancer to 0, even if we can manage some of the risks.

    love this discussion! however, with age does come genomic instability & higher somatic mutations - it seems as though the medical system is trying to treat instead of prevent (which is a problem), but at the same time death is a natural process. since death is inevitable, so is cancer!

    Great show. But MD can never see sigar and all carbs are sugar. So many think reduce sugar and eat french fries. He must be more specific to be effective..

    8:20, nice to hear him say this. I always hear people saying they are on some diet to boost or improve their immune system and I'm like "ya, so if you are able to do that you'll have an autoimmune disease, that's what that is, an overactive immune system is not a good thing".

      @@cautarepvp2079You havent read a word the guy said 😂 Boosting your immune system to a high degree may or may not lead to autoimmune diseases like arthritis, Crohn's disease, lupus, etc, as those diseases stem from your immune system being TOO active and 'strong', leading to it attacking other cells in your body. Naturally, it should be healthy to fight off illnesses, but not excessively overpowering to not have it work against you.

    While estrogen makes complete sense, let's add some context to progesterone. All the relevant and well-known studies showing an increase in breast cancer risk from higher progesterone used progestins instead of bio-identical progesterone. Progestins, however, don't act the same way real progesterone does in the body. In fact, it converts to estrogen.

      You need to watch Dr. Mary Claire Haver. What you are saying is not totally correct. Estrogen patches and Micronized Progesterone does NOT increase Breast Cancer. There is a study done in France with 8,000 patients that has recently proved otherwise.

      If you have high testosterone, your DHT levels will be higher than normal (not to unhealthy levels). DHT is the problem with prostate cancer. Older people get prostate cancer because their testosterone goes down with age & their DHT rise to unhealthy levels as a result to compensate

    My luckiest event in life was my father heart attack when he was 50...and the long undignified decline of his health and life the next 23 years...because I started, in the idea to help him ( didn't work at all) to read book about reversing heart disease with food, mostly plant-based. I was 26. My father was diabetic and the medical world push a lot the genetic side of it. So I told myself if it was genetic, the part I cannot control, to change my diet right away instead after my first heart attack at 50. I went plant based most of the time. I'm 50 now and my doctor told me I was not even close to diabete or cholesterol and 2% chance to have heart disease at 60... which she doesn't see often at 50 years old male. My intuition was good, I learned from my father's "mistake"....or

      I did the same and at age 62 have ZERO health issues, with a 100% animal based diet. Same for my parents who are in their 80's, on ZERO medications, and just bought a new house and are actively renovating. All relatives in our family were meat-eating farmers, ZERO cancer or heart disease, EXCEPT the one who was a vegetarian, who died a horrific death from cancer in her early 50's.

    My dad was diagnosed with lung 🫁 cancer on February 9, 2021 by a mere accident which I don’t believe was a coincidence but was a divine intervention from a higher power to save his life and our family. If he wasn’t accidentally diagnosed he would’ve been dead 💀 by now.

      Sorry to hear about your dad’s diagnosis. The day my husband’s aunt was scheduled to have a hysterectomy they did a chest X-ray because she told them she had been coughing. They were concerned about what they saw on the X-ray so they did a CT scan. Instead of having her hysterectomy that day, they made plans for her to have surgery to have a portion of her lung removed due to having lung cancer that they had incidentally found.

I run 50 km a day, my dad walks 5 km a day at almost 80. We pursue healthy habits, we are not bombarded my those ads (let's hope they don't block it again) about all those foods and drinks that contain chemicals that are extremely unhealthy and that are prohibited in the EU. And that's exactly my point, if there is no interest in prevention, by those already mentioned, the majority of the public will fall prey of them. It is a matter of culture based on a certain type of business model.

    Middle Eastern countries have the lowest rates of cancer in the world! What are they doing right to take care of themselves? I’ve noticed they use a lot of turmeric in their food. It’s a powerful antioxidant that can really prevent cancer.
    I sprinkle curry powder (which contains turmeric) on my eggs every morning, with a dash of cayenne pepper topped with a bit of cheese. It’s delicious. 😋

      @@betoketo Yeah. I mean a lot of what I've heard about getting testosterone as high as possible naturally has been to do with heavy resistance training, not so much with cardio . Buuttt a lot of what I've heard about test being too low is from being fat, inactive, poor diet, and poor sleep.
      So the first things to do to get back to normal range is loose fat, be more active, eat healthy foods a get more sleep. So yeah, not sure where he's coming from with the active thing.
      Unless he means in the period after excercise test is lower? And the can have benefits?
      But then once it comes back to normal the overall average should be higher than inactive, overweight person...

It is unwise to make conclusions out of x story or x person you met or the friend of a friend, especially with the simple genetic variability in health among two individual humans.

    Carbs (most effectively sugar) decreases stress hormones by creating more CO2 via the Randall cycle. Stress hormones are always elevated in the presence and creation of cancer, not to mention most other illnesses. Glucose metabolism has many outcomes, depending on your metabolism, which is governed by your thyroid. The warburger effect only examines how cancer is created and fed via sugar, by only one possible metabolic direction. Dr.Ray Peat is perhaps the king of metabolic optimization and illness prevention, with his famous protocols using sugar. Glucose metabolism yields two CO2 molecules, whereas fatty acid metabolism yields only one. Contrasting “consensual” science, you want more internal CO2. If you look at endogenous CO2 (at the metabolic level) it can be considered a ‘master hormone’, due to its hormonal hierarching properties. Similarly, it’s been proven that glucosely elevating insulin does not cause diabetes, but free fatty acid metabolism does. This is proven with the Randall cycle as well as anecdotally with hibernating bears, that come out of hibernation in ketosis, yet have also become diabetic in the process. Then, as soon as they get ahold of their first carb rich meal, they almost immediately come out of diabetic ketosis, and return to homeostasis. Tribes and animals have always known when fruits are in bloom, eating as much as possible is the healthiest thing they can attain naturally. Arguing sugar is the top link to cancer is not only easily biologically incorrect, based off the Randall and Krebs cycle, it’s historically non corroborative with how our ancestors lived and thrived.

    I consider whole grain pasta to be healthy, but you should have them split up in to maximum 2 meals a day, and with a good amount of healthy plant seed oils (I prefer olive). Other than that I eat nuts and vegetables. Only drink water, coffee, and tea without milk or sugar. If you're vegan have your vit.B12 and a good source of omega-3 fatty acids (like algae oil), maybe vit.D if you're a nightshift worker or not out in the sun much, and you're good. I'm 40 years old, athletic, everyone thinks I'm much younger. Take good care of your bodies folks 💟

    I used to eat a lot of honey when I was training consistently... until I learned is spikes glucose / insulin identically to white sugar 🙄 Nnneext.

    It doesn’t sound like 2/3 hours of walking is enough for hunter gatherers to burn all the honey(sugar) they eat. In another video he advises you can’t burn that many calories through exercise.

    Our farming system and general practices are so far away from nature what do you expect. I gave up cereals and all products containing them. It's a small start for personal health and for the health of the planet. We must put an end to mono crops or we all / our future generations face terrible times ahead.

    Genes make affect as well as an the environment. Got 2 cancers by 35 years. Eat healthy, no bad habits, exercise regulary, healthy weight. Go figure out now reasons for that...

      @sebastiank7287 focusing on organic products. By healthy I mean don't eat junk food. But have veggies, fish and meat in my diet - eat all types of foods, but trying to avoid junk food

    Hate to say this but my dad started drinking Coca Cola since he was 14 , he drinks 4 16 oz bottles of it warm since he was a kid, he is 92 still has all his health , a bit of dementia setting in, still walks his dog twice a day, rarely sick even with flu, he is underweight at his age , it cannot be Pepsi cant be Diet Coke , his dr thinks this is unbelievable as he never misses a day with out his doc cola. He doesn’t drink alcohol , never smoked, never done drugs and truly the coke has not caused him any harm ever. I am too in disbelief at times. He eats moderately. So he is living proof that Coca Cola does not kill you He still has a drivers license after his health check last month. We live in Alberta Canada

      Miracles exist...Miracles are real....I read about someone call Richard something lived in Texas an army Veteran...searching these words.....Richard.. army Veteran...texas...aged 102 can bring you that guy
      He defied all medical advise his entire life and lived a life past 106 I guess...that's when he died
      He ate an ice cream before bedtime....he was into whisky big on it..used cigars...that man broke the odd...

      I read about the life of this man and I was scared...what medicine represents.
      .he went against anything science suggest s and ended well....no ailments...lived a full brown age...
      This man cannot be erased from my memories...
      He even gave what he considers his secrets to life...a long life...
      I remember...he said...whatever makes you happy do that...
      If its going to church...have a beer...or an ice cream..
      He cemented his life on what makes you happy just that...
      I was in shock...😂❤
      Go read it foe your self...!!
      And here we are fighting to get it right....
      But learning about these things makes happy and when I practice them..eat small and right...go out walk...fast and exercise....
      And I guess Richard is right
      If it makes you happy go out there and do it...
      Be vegan...or eat beef...as long as it makes you happy..😅
