- After like 4 days of work I finally finished Gul'Dan secrets! Man was this one long. Gul'Dan has always been one of my favorite characters in the series and it is definitely one of the most enigmatic ones.

One of my favorite moments in Warcraft lore is the fight between Illidan and Arthas. It's essentially a proxy fight between Gul'dan and Nerzhul. Illidan, having consumed the skull of Gul'dan and Arthas fighting for the 'Lich King' aka Nerzhul. So meta.
They should make cinematics for these classic fights. I mean like good 10-15 min cinematics with buildups

actually orcs became green because the use of fel magics, but they became red by drinking demon blood. also kil'jaeden had nothing to do with bringing orcs to azeroth. he just left the orcs to their fate, but sargeras knew that orcs would be useful so he still in medivhs body contacted gul'dan to invade azeroth.

So many inaccuracies that it hurts... Medhiv (Sargeras) reached out to Gul'Dan through the void teaching him how to construct the dark portal. Kiljaeden did not find Gul'Dan, he found Ner'zhul. etc etc...
I really really enjoy watching your videos, helping me to catch up with Warcraft lore i missed out.
I just finished reading Rise of the Horde up until Beyond the Dark Portal. But contrary to popular thought that claim Gul'dan is a badass, when i read those books i personally think he is just a try hard little shaman being shoved up with expensive toys. His powers are only 'given'. Compare it with Thrall, or Khadgar, their badassery are original. I dont understand, maybe theres something i missed regarding people's opinion about Gul'dan being op.
Gul'dan didn't take the souls of the necrolytes to ressurect them again, he used their souls to power the spell. The souls that were put inside these fallen knights was from the dead Shadow Council warlocks, such as Teron Gorefiend among others.
He just sacrificed his necrolytes because they couldn't complete the task, and Gul'dan knew he wasn't a skilled necromancer, but the thing is, with fel you don't need to practice as much as the mages of Dalaran does. If you got life to sacrifice when conjuring a spell, you immidiately can succeed with such spells with ease.
Fel magic is created and fueled by destroying life, just like he did to his followers. So their souls were destroyed, so that he could create the Death Knigths, with his old trusted warlock buddies within them.
What hero would I like you to cover? Drek'thar. He is massively underrated and now reduced to a senile old orc. Hopefully, his time to really shine will come in Warlords Of Draenor.
Kil'jaeden approached Ner'zhul first
The Death Knights were loyal to Doomhammer. After Gul'dan leaves, Doomhammer asked Teron Gorefiend, the first Death Knight, why he isn't gone with gul'Dan, and he answered that his loyalty belongs to doomhammer. Doomhammer sent Blakhands sons and their black tooth grin clan after the twilighthammer, gul'dan and cho'gall, where thy fought and gul'dan was already in the tomb, facing his nightmare :)

5:40 is wrong, Kil'jaden was satisfied and abandoned the orcs after they had claimed Shattratt city and they supposedly killed all of the dranei. it was SARGERAS however whom manipulated Medivh to whisper Gul'dan and thought him of Azeroth, NOT KIL'JADEN. ( source: Rise of the Horde) The shadow council was also not just warlocks, Blackhand, warchief of the Blackrock clan was among them. "you must rally the horde" was a vision Thrall had, not Gul'dan. its also pronounced " Mid, eve" not "mid eiff"
Actually, the orcs gained green skin from the Fel magic that they used and not from Mannoroth as you've stated. Using the Fel magic corrupted them and changed their skin from brown to green. Most of the Mag'har were victims of the "Red Pox" plague the hit Draenor just prior to the Horde invading Azeroth. Deemed too sickly and too weak, they never participated in the attempted genocide of the Draenei nor the invasion of Azeroth... So thus they were able to keep their brown skin. I'm not nitpicking or anything, but assumed that you were unaware of this given what you stated in your video. Good video though.

kil'jaden abandoned the orcs when the draenai were killed then draenor started to die and sargeras used medivh to tell guldan about the portal and how to make it then medivh controled by sargeras opened the dark portal whit the help of gul dan to let the orc into azeroth

Not a 100% on this but I dont think Kil'Jaeden gave 2 shits about the orcs invading Azeroth, he left them to their fate, it was Sargeras in the form of Medivh that contacted Gul'dan and ensued the first invasion I think

What if Draenor Gul'dan got his hands on our skull of Gul'dan?
Sheadon Truesdale Illidan still being alive and imprisoned yet again as it seems in the new lore, consumed the powers of the skull years ago. From what we can tell from the teaser, is that Guldan somehow finds his prison, bypass or kills Maiv and the sisters and sets Illidan free. Which makes me kind of think these scenarions:
1. Illidan and Guldan join forces under the commands of Sargeras himself to summon him for one last time in Azeroth. After 4-5 patches Guldan betrays Illidan to claim his rightful powers, (cliche, we can all see it coming) and making Illidan's final death and redemption story. (Arthas words: Doesn't anyone stay dead anymore?).
2. Illidan kills Guldan for his skull, tragic irony. And then he assists us against Burning Legion and Sargeras.
3. And for my last script, more like a long shot, we dont see Sargeras at all. They could add a master manipulator OLD GOD behind the scenes. There are many out there not yet revealed to the world. So why not?

A question.. Did the WoD expansion happened before Gul'dan was killed?
Swe clasher This is a "parallel universe" Guldan. He traveled through portal in our original universe where he is dead long ago and his skull is consumed by Illidan.
So yes and no. He is alive in an era where he is supposed to have died ages ago.

a lot of this is false, example, illidan didn't become "half demon half elf" through the skull, he gained power from it, but actually became a demon from the eye of sargeras, which he managed to attain after going to the broken isles with kael'thas and lady vash'jir, then he went to outland etc etc.

Void is not the Twisting Nether. Void magic is not fel Magic. Demons are not Old Gods.
Well, fel magic and the twisting nether are basically the same as the void from starcraft and its related practices in even color and some effects, so yeah. Demons are indeed not old gods, unless you quite literally mean "as powerful as gods and very old" which is not what an old god is. I take your point, though. Still a mistake
@@InternationalAwesomeFoundation He's referring to 'The Old Gods' which are completely unsubtle ripoffs of Lovecraft's mythos that were written into Warcraft lore when blizzard ran out of ideas.

@@devious3174 Also, if you're going to diss Blizzard for ripping off Lovecraft, diss D&D first, and then diss Warhammer, and then diss almost every other fantasy setting because all of them have some charicature of Lovecraftian Fantasy. It's even a whole genre, I wouldn't call it a rip-off because "lovecraftian" has found its way into the dictionary and furthermore is as I previously mentioned a whole genre. Blizzard's idea of the old gods' history is quite original, even if nomenclature and design are less so, and in general they added the old gods in as A. A blanket villain besides the Demons and B. An element of lovecraftian fantasy in this game about fantasy. D&D added them in as ancient beings to be weird, mostly used in horror campaigns of the lovecraftian genre. It's not original, but it's also not uncreative when you're creating an entire world to chuck some Lovecraft in.

The green color of the Orcs is not cause by the demon blood, Durotan never drinks it yet he is green and so is his son Thrall..
Explanation: A a lot of people thinks that the orcs turn green due to the blood of Mannoroth but they actually turn red and, eventually, turn back to their normal color but controled by the burning legion. The green color was produced by the corruption made for Gul'dan and Ner'zhul magics, their skins starts to peel and the green show up underneath.
I hope this helped because a lot of people thinks it's the blood fault.
***** the green came from exposure to fel(demon) magics, they didnt have to use it themselves, but simply being near it over a period of time can produce the effect.
Mivdyr Sorry if i explain that poorly, but basically Ner'zhul and Gul'dan playing around with Kil'jaeden make them green among other things . More like Gul'dan, he was and asshole xD Ner'zhul was a great Orc.

+Javier Rilova They became Green after drinking blood. They became red (Grommash and his soldiers) after they drank the blood SECOND TIME. Thrall is green because land became corrupted and even if your parents didnt drink demon blood you become green skinned. Draenei turned to Broken too.

that part with Arthas putting on the helm of the Lich King, is he saying that Gul'Dan is the Lich King? If so hes wrong Ner'Zul is. random lore (Medivh's mother was possessed by a demon but, it could not control her, so it influenced her to have a baby and the demon possessed him)

Could u do a lore about mydive, from what I remember he had gone mad from his own immense power and his resentment of the kingdom of Azeroth. That's why he help Guldan bring the horde to Azeroth. Also it was Medives' power that was solely responsible for opening the portal, guldan just build the gate on the other side. Guldan compare to Mydive was like and ant compared to a giant. Mydive could control and pull demons from the viod at will. It took a whole Army to kill him. Then in Wc3 he was a ascenden being which was a surprise to me and I don't know a whole lot about how he rid the madness and was a good guy in wc3.

Kil'jaeden sent Mannoroth to corrupt the orcs so they can wipe out the draenei,but after that he left them to their fate,because Velen did what the Naaru told him. Sargeras is the supreme ruler of the Legion,he was the one who created it in the first place. Also,Archimonde is the one who commands the armies of the Legion,therefore he recruits new forces into the vast armies of the fallen titan! Kil'jaeden just approves once he sees what they are worth. You make good videos and you have narrating skill,but if you wanna do lore videos,check your knowledge,peace!!!

It wasn't Kil'Jaedan's plan to bring the orcs to Azeroth, after they butchered the Draenei he simply abandoned the orcs, it was Sargeras who wanted the orcs there and through Medivh told Gul'Dan about Azeroth.
Im sorry, I cant watch your videos anymore if you are going to mess up on details that make me mad every video. In this one, Kil'jaeden had nothing to do with the orcs coming to Azeroth, that was Sargeras himself who was in the body of Medivh that contacted Gul'dan and told him to come to Azeroth, as stated in the novel The Last Guardian.

I believe that Doomhammer also refused to drink the blood of Mannoroth. If i dont remember completely wrong is that Kil'jaeden abandoned the after the Draenai were rekt. It was Sargeras that helped them build the portal later.
Wasnt Blackhand also made leader before they attacked the Draenai?
The death knight also stayed with the horde. It was the enhanced ogres that was Loyal to Guldan

i really like the contents of your videos, however lately (or rather like in the last 2-3 months) you change your voice, its annoying to me because you used to speak "normally" :s just my opinion
It's not really true, Kil'jaeden didn't want him to invade Azeroth, once they were done with the Draenie he just left the Orcs. Sargeras, inside Medivh, was the one who contacted Gul'dan.
Your excited tone comes off as forced and ''mouthbreather esque'', creepy, in the awkward sort.

I think you should team up with Nobbel for a video, he has made many videos about WoW.
Also I think you should have mentioned that because the orcs killed the draenei, the elements of dranei were mad and didn't lend the orc shamans their power, and Gul'dan used that to more easily recruit orcs and teach them how to be warlocks.
Actually, almost all of Warcraft from Orcs v Humans to Warth is thanks to Ner'zul, Gul'dans teacher. He was the Lick King, Frostmourne, the original one to give Gul'dan his thirst for power, etc.

I loled when the Warcraft Orc victory cinematic started playing in the background as he talked about the Orc's humiliating defeat at Stormwind.
I'd love seeing the lore of Arthas Menethil and the Lich King. More the Lich King specifically, but Arthas is obviously tied in with him.

Actually Kill'Jaeden left the orcs to die.Sargeras wanted to bring the orcs to Azeroth adn because he was in medivth he aproached gul'dan and eventualy brought the orcs to azeroth
Not sure why you showed a picture of The Lich King when telling Gul'Dan's legacy could still be felt in Azeroth?
You didn;t mention that Death Knights created by Gul'dan are something completely different from those that were later created by Lich King.
I don't know very much about World of Warcraft so I don't know what to ask for, any & all lore you have on this series is valuable to me! I especially want to learn more about the dragons
