C'thun is almost a complete eye, Yog'saron has mouths only and tentacles, I think that the old gods might of been one single god.

MrRhexx Why? It's so easy to just google "How do you pronounce this"? Take a little pride in your videos, because they really are awesome, and you've got a great voice, but listening to you fail over and over again at saying these names is painful. Give the characters the credit they deserve and take an extra 10 minutes to figure out how to say their names. Hell just send me a message before you make a video and I'll tell you how to pronounce them.

I appreciate your enthusiasm and the effort you put into this video. For future reference, though, the pronunciations are as follows:
    N'Zoth is pronounced neh-ZOTH
    C'thun is pronounced kuh-THOON
    Y'Shaarj is pronounced Yah-Sha-RAJ

N'zoth was the old god responsible for the seduction of Deathwing. And no old god seduced Arthas. It was the lich king.

actually it was not the lich king, it was Nerzuls armor which he had equiped, which you can see by the fact that in the ciematic his eyes start to glow and Bolvars aswel

The Lich King is the shattered remains of Ner'Zhul, once a shamanic leader in Draenor. He was manipulated by Kil'Jaeden into leading the orcs to war, but when he realized what was happening, he attempted to escape through a recently opened portal. Kil'Jaeden captured him and ripped his very soul apart and put it back together again, multiple times. Eventually he got bored with the torture of the orc and bound his soul within a set of armor and placed him in Icecrown to draw the young prince, Arthas, to his fate. When Arthas put the helmet on, his very essence infused with Ner'zhul's and furthered the deep corruption the cursed blade Frostmourne had caused. The Lich King then became a shadow of his human form, driven to madness and corruption by the dark magics of the legion and the curse of the blade.

"In his house at R'lyeh dead Cthulhu waits dreaming.” - H.P. Lovecraft - The Call of Cthulhu
There seems to be a whole lot of references to Lovecraft in the story of N´Zoth, the Old Gods from the Depth. Like in Lovecraft´s stories he had a race of grotesque myrmidons as worshipers. And he lay in an ancient city sunken deep beneath the ocean, whispering in his dreams and influencing those above.
Have a look at The Call of Cthulhu and Dagon
If nothing it´s a pretty good read. x)

Wtf are you talking about!? Titans came to Azeroth once and found it infected by Old Gods, Qiraji pushed Night elves out of Silithus but "something" scared them off the Un'Goro and they didn't go further buyign night elfs time to ask bronze for help. Sargeras was most powerful titan that existed and when he went corrupt he became even more powerful and grew in power as he drained other worlds so I doubt he'd be scared of an old god, if sargeras enters Azeroth it's game over, and old gods would probably help him like they did at War of the Ancients when Dragon Soul was powering up the portal and Deathwing tried to take it back, what was tearing deathwing apart was not Dragon Soul it were old gods that wanted to prevent him from getting the DS, coz they knew Sargeras will succeed in destroying Azeroth so they can take over.

Even if it sounds crazy, it might make sense. Notice how we got to discover 1 old god per every second expansion. I mean, as literal, not a rumor like N'Zoth. Classic was C'Thun, Wotlk was Yogg-sarron, MoP was dead one Y'Shaarj, now WoD and probably next expac, we'll see a new old god or redemption of N'Zoth after the events of cataclysm.

  • @Verixus113

The pronunciations of these Old God names in this are, 'K-thun' for C'thun, 'Yah-sha-raaj' for Yshaarj, 'Ne-zoth' with the 'th' making the usual sound it does. Azjol-nerub is pronounced, 'As-jol Nehr-oob'. Ahn'qiraj is pronounced, 'Ahn-kiraj' with the 'j' being pronounced rather than silent.

There were pushed out of silithus, yes, but there's one thing: No qiraji could even enter Un'goro crater, the night elves themselves suspected this was a spot blessed somehow by the titans, so since we see silithid in-game there, it's probable to assume that C'thun sent his newfound soldiers there in place of the Qiraji themselves.

Yogg had nothing to do with the crowning of bolvar as such when bolvar takes on the crown at the end of ICC it sounds nothing like yogg whatsoever its clearly the voice of Nerzhul/lichking.
the whole "no king rules forever" part that whould be a pretty normal thing to say to a king about to die.

Also, proof for N'zoth being underwater could be found on the other side of Azeroth, which we have not yet explored, and is evidenced by the globes in Ulduar. We can find many old kingdoms there, such as the fallen Kul'Tiras which fell victim to the Naga, I believe.

About Azhara being related to N'Zoth. If you guys remember the sea quests in cataclysm you play as a naga and need to call your allies to fight the sea wrykuls (can't remember their names), when you see them arrive you see faceless ones arriving from underneath them as well as the kraken like creature (making it connected to the faceless ones and further the old gods). You don't mention it so I was just curious if you guys thinks that this is connected

Husk of Sor'getha is a place in the Twilight Highlands, which is possibly what Cho'gal was referring to. Like the fallen one in the Master's Glaive (in Dark Shore), he has a blade sticking out of his head. However I seem to recall that during the Titan's war, one titan killed an Old God by running it through, but when he removed the weapon, the Old God came back to life, so he stuck it back in and left it. Either of these could technically be this Old God, but the one in Dark Shore is said to be a "Herald of the Old Gods", so it seems more likely that the Old God is in fact Sor'getha, unless he too is another Herald.

you're getting the Titans confused with the Titan-forged. One Titan can easily excise an old God from a world. The forged however are used to enforce the will of the Titans without destroying or permanently damaging a world, so they are substantially weaker but they are the ones who eventually sealed the old gods. It's all in Warcraft Chronicle.

I am pretty sure that Azeroth is an old god in itself. It just makes sense when you look at lore and since most of the names are inspired by H.P. Lovecraft, Azeroth would make sense, considering that there is a character named Azathoth (Yogg Sothoth-Yogg Saron;C'Thulu-C'Thun;Zoth Omogg-N'Zoth)

*cough* Fey dragon ring in Tirisfal glades *cough cough* Okay you know the one! Fly past the above ground entrance to Undercity heading east and you end up in a pretty peaceful and mostly empty forest.
Find the clearing with the fairy ring and if you're lucky you'll see some fey drunk darters appear, a shit ton of sickly animals approach it and something causes the ring to light up with green magic.
When asked about it Blizz has only said that the ring is over top of something powerful and horrible... I'm thinking old god!

I theorize that N'Zoth was imprisoned beneath the well of eternity itself. ideal position for the highborne/naga idea, perfect position to take advantage of Sargeras to cross into azeroth, A sufficient power source to bury him, zin'ashari is indeed a city of terrible crimes and would have sunk to the bottom of the ocean. thoughts?

C'thun, just like Sunwell's archimonde, as well as yogg saron, were only part of themselves, we are yet to see the full form of them. Yogg Saron is the dark whisperer, he manipulate nightmares, he alter what people see to affect the outcome, usually war and chaos. This can be seen when he said he has a thousand faces, and he was there in every history turning point. Just my thoughts (still farming ulduar after expansions. T_T)

Well thanks to a friend I was questing with in the Vashj'ir area in the ocean. She poke about an area where you might see an old god around there. I learned from her that it is deep in the ocean going far beyond the Whale Shark boss that could be seen near a sunken horde ship for the treasure quest near it. Swimming there takes you to a fatigue area of the ocean and she spoke about reaching far enough that she could see something, but not clearly as she was insta killed when she drew too close to whatever it was. With your interesting theory and entertaining video , I am taking a guess that N'Zoth might be there or something that has yet to be used or scrapped during production

Actually, Azeroth is a titan soul. The old Gods found Azeroth BEFORE the first titans did. Upon trying ripping one of them from the planet, it left a massive scar. The titans then discovered that if they ripped the gods out of the planet it would kill the planet and the titan spirit growing within. So they imprisoned them instead. The wound from ripping the first god from the surface was repaired and became the eternity well.
Soooo the first part of this video is very inaccurate. The titans found Azeroth after the old gods. They decided to protect the planet and attempt to safeguard it as the titan soul growing within is the most powerful they have ever discovered, which will (if it survives) will eventually become a Titan.

When you said look at the positions of the old gods you can't use the map of modern day Azeroth the Titans imprisoned the old gods before the sundering so the locations of the old gods on Azeroth as one continent could make a pattern

does this mean that 2 possible expansions could come from this (disregarding the inevitable one of the burning leagion returning) here's what i have in mind. Bolvar fordragon comes back through the power of the old god that is speculated to be under tirisfal glades, now guessing he has some ultimate control under undead ( because of tirisfal being the home of the undead starting area) end boss could be said old god and/ or bolvar, The other one being n'zoth, the faceless and the naga to flood and over throw azeroth. Just some thoughts but it has some real nice ties with lore and possibility :P

I love your fourth god theory, however the 5th about the tirisfal glades is something else you're misinterpreting. Something IS burried underneath the tirisfal glades however it is likely not a 5th old god. not sure exactly what it is however it would make sense to be the fallen titan Tihr, who was burried "somewhere". Say the word: Tirisfall... Tihr's fall. I understand the crypts are seemingly one on every continent but keep in mind we are getting a new one in legion.

I've come to the same conclusions as you about N'Zoth , I think he corrupted the dream and lies beneath the ocean at center of the map , I also believe that he saved Azshara and the hightbornes turning them into nagas.
However about the Lichking it was Ner'Zul droven mad by Kil'Jaeden after the draenor's explosion. I guess you know all the stuff about how he was sent and Azeroth etc etc and how he corrupted Arthas , Kel'Thuzad and Anub'Arak.
I believe it's still him in the lichking helmet and that Bolvar has to fight his spirit till the end of time to retain the scourge from attacking the world once again.
But there is something I disagree about the facts you said for the war between Titans and Old gods. Old gods were first in the place even before the titans, that is what I read everywhere on the internet (anyway im not sure of my sources so if you have about it tell me^^). And if we agree to the book three gods whispered into Neltharion hears , not only Yogg'Sarron.
I also used to read that there was a stronger old god who seems to be their Leader , it could be N'Zoth or the mysterious one maybe locating on the easter kingdoms. But for the last sentence , it is only internet's speculation.
Anyway great job on the Warcraft Lore keep it going ^^

6:00 minute marker shows Warhammer art. Fitting since WoW steals most ideas from others and warhammer mostly. Even H.P.Lovecraft Old-God Yogg-Sothoth (call of cthulhu) ... is used here as Old God Yogg Sarog. What next? Dark Knight Dark Vareder ? Wizard Hazzy Portier ? Ring of power of evil Saraunon? WoW = Ctrl C + Ctrl V

old gods came after, otherwise titans would've died instantly and the pantheon would fall and collapse.since old gods consider the titans a toad that they can shrugg off their back.they could crush or annihilate the pantheon if they work together.also, You only battle the old gods's heads,in reality Yogg Saron is as big as Northrend itself,N'Zoth is a sparking source of energy in the Maelstorm,he's probably as big Pandaria and Kalimdor combined!

damn I really don't like the inflation of the use of old gods and elemental lords since cataclysm. Back in the old WoW days we had Majordomo Executus yell: "Behold Ragnaros - the Firelord! He who was ancient when this world was young! Bow before him, mortals! Bow before your ending!"
The Old God inflation in WotlK and especially Cataclysm kind of ruined the Lore.
