I ordered and owned a 1976 Silverado similar to yours. Mine had 454 with the 400 transmission. It was a hell of a ride 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Like you said it’s a real truck with tons of power.
Had a 2500 Gmc 4x4 with a 454 ..400 auto equipped prett much like this..two tone blue/white ...373 gearing..put a mild 4 inch rancho lift..lover that truck..got 14 mpg empty and 12 loaded..no matter what it was towing or loaded in it. Dual tanks..and it needed them..lol..very nice example of a 76 there guys
My dad special ordered a '76 that same color. His was a 3/4 ton, with bucket seats, sliding rear window and dual tanks and the full gauge cluster with the factory tachometer. My dad had Thrush extruded aluminum side pipes and aluminum slot Wheels. It was one bad truck, back in the day
At the time I didn’t appreciate just how good these Silverado’s looked, but man they looked good and a 454 loping to boot, hard to get much better than this! One more thing you can reach over into the bed and get things out of the bed, not on today trucks!
My dad bought a new '73 short bed 454 just a few months before the first oil embargo started that year. I believe it was a Custom Deluxe that was dark brown with that buckskin in the middle. It was the first short bed that i had ever seen him with as he usually has long beds for working. It was the first vehicle that i was aware that i was going 100mph in. He traded it off a few months after the embargo started to get a '65 Suburban that had a 6 cylinder with a three on the tree that would get almost 20mpg on the highway.

Whoa yeah that sounds like a bad boy. Thanks for sharing.
I would never spend my hard earned money on these old vehicles, that said i love them and this truck is super cool.
That dual horn was part of the silverado package
This truck can move. What a gem 💎

Thank you for showing video proof that a '76 Chevy truck , did in fact have a 454 badge in the grill, despite what some " experts " claim .
