This is really helpful. Filling up the white space and leaving enough blank is always a challenge and these motifs are small enough to fit in wherever I think that I need "something more."
Oh Jenna! Thank you for this video! Teaching paint 🎨 is your calling : I’m learning the techniques, but also I’m learning to be less judgmental of my paintings because I know I’ll improve with practice. Thank you 🙏 😘 How’s the family? Blessings to you all ✨💫
That’d the attitude! Yes! Less judge mental because practice brings improvement, it’s so important to enjoy each time you paint (even if you don’t like the outcome). Family is great, thanks for asking! Hoping all is well for you and your close ones!
I think the water exercise was the most useful for me. I’ve not seen a watercolour water view that I liked as much as this. Gorgeous. Will give it a go for sure! Thanks HEAPS.
@@JennaRaineyChannel anything that doesnt sound like whistling (kids music), ukelele or xylophone is relaxing to me lol lounge/chill downtempo being always my fave !!! love some of your florals... fabulous teacher, you !
Easiest cactus, grass, palm tree, and wild flowers. Hardest everything else. It was my first go, so I need a lot more practice thank you for these videos.😀
Love your videos & really! Love! when you tell us what colors your using!. Also helps to see pallet & when you take away or add water. Thank you so much Jenna!
Ocean is so hard. I got a good rock though. My tree looked pretty but not Christmas like. I will try it again. Thank you so much for these videos. They are so helpful and inspiring xx
Loved watching that ocean come alive! You always make me think, "I can do that!" Because you make it look so easy! Just starting in watercolor and am loving it!! You are one of my favorite you tube teachers!
Thank you so much! I love you! You are so funny, wise and inspirational! I struggled with the sea, mountains and clouds and the cactus. Not sure how to hold the brush for the side to do the mountains, sea and cactus. So grateful for your teaching!
Loved it so much and painted along with you Jenna. What a way to finish my week! Thank you so much for your time and effort to put these vedeos out. I really appreciate and I am a big fan! 😘👍
Aw thanks so much Eunmi! You’re very kind, I’m so glad you’re loving the channel! Ocean tutorial tomorrow! So you can keep painting fresh pieces this weekend!
Thanks for these tips. I am really enjoying your tutorials! You are quite fast, thankful for the pause button...lol I feel like I did really well on everything except the mountains and especially the water! Ugh...I have wanted to paint realistic water for so long...I am just not grasping it for some reason.
Yes this helped me as far as the rocks and water goes. Also the cloud you did. I never thought about out lining the cloud ☁️. I always blot with a paper towel or kleenex. Good idea I'll have to practice the outlining. Thank you 😊.😊🌴🇺🇸 FLORIDA.
Jenna! Love this and I did your desert sunset for my son's Christmas gift. Living in Arizona we have lots of cactus and this may be helpful - the pronunciation of saguaro is "SWAR - oh" (no g is pronounced, just 2 syllables). I truly appreciate your teaching style, I only started last year and I love all I am learning from you. Thank you!
Thanks for all the great landscape ideas and for all the timings for quick reference! (Shipwrecked? Yikes. That would be so very scary.) I love the deep blue greens of the deep ocean.💜🙏🏻
Wow this videos is amazing and it made felt like I'm able to do whatever I want to, the most challenging to me it was waves, I had tried before with another technique and it was terrible but your video is quite clear and useful. Thank you
DO YOU TEACH any live in person three day classes, etc.??? Loved the theme of video. Really want to examine waves hitting the shore tutorial do you have anything like that?
I do teach live classes, but they are usually week-long workshops in a special location. I just did a France one, next year I have Morocco and Spain (and maybe another France). My email list is the best way to stay informed with my retreats. Hop on it at jennarainey.com 💕
THANK YOU for you stellar content. This and the 2022 JR Paint Challenge helped me on the way to creating my first, idk, full piece? I always create floating elements because backgrounds are hard. But now I've put on my adult pants and started a landscape *victory screech* It's a lake (aaaaaaaaaah water o.O) with evergreens on the shore and a crannog (a wooden hut made of logs, branches, and thatch) in the center. On chicken feet. Because why make it if it can't be folklore? #BabaYagaVibes TL/DR: Because of your teaching and chill vibe, I'm working on something that scares the bejesus out of me, AND ENJOYING IT. So thank you thank you thank you!!
Sooo.... What did ya think? What was hard? What helped? What are you excited to include in your next landscape?
thanks for the help !
That was an amazing tutorial... I’m quickly learning to just follow along and not think too much about it - thank you!
Very helpful video ! Thank you so much , I'm going to hop on over to your wildflower video !
This is really helpful. Filling up the white space and leaving enough blank is always a challenge and these motifs are small enough to fit in wherever I think that I need "something more."
Mine didn't turn out like yours. I'll try again with better paper and paints. I'll look for a BEGINNER beginner tutorial.
These are so useful, Jenna - thank you so much for sharing them! :))
I’m a beginner and just loving all your tutorials! I really enjoyed painting the distant flower field and of course the hardest was the ocean.
I absolutely ❤️ your tutorials. Took an actual watercolor class and it couldn’t hold a candle to you.

Have fun with the water Lesley! ❤️
I loved the wildflowers
Loving the tune!!! i watch watercolour vids before sleep, so this is relaxing! cheers
Glad this was relaxing for you! Some of the florals are maybe even more peaceful, we try to find really peaceful piano music for most florals.

I'm excited to try the waves and clouds. those are both things I struggle with and why I avoid some landscapes.
I hope this gives you some confidence to go for it, Elizabeth!

Nice topic-thanks.

Lovely Jenna nice to see some easy painting idea's can I capture a screen shot for reference of this
Great idea to have for future reference!
I am late joining but am wondering if the free ebook is still available. I would like to make use of the colour wheel as well as other helpful tips.
Thank you Jenna you are the best……yvonne
Las nubes son muy difíciles de lograr!!!! Hermoso tutorial!!!
Volverá algún día #jrschool?
Love these! However I don't think ill ever get rocks and water perfected...I know, never say never...😁

Hi Jenna love your chanal just wondering if you do a tutorial on realist trees, please
That's a great suggestion, Fiona, maybe we'll work one in the rotation!
👍👌
5:09 my color is always the same. Whats the reason?
Welll. I fear for my palm tree. It’ll look like it’s ready to take off. The cactus I think I can do since I live in Southwest Texas!
How on earth do you do that without getting you arm/ elbow in the paint tray. I would have my arm covered in paint
🤗😏🤗🤗💙💙
