Hello beauties and thank you so much for watching my video :) In my previous French series videos a lot of you shared very useful beauty secrets. I love these reviews. The less is more look appeals to me right now. I'm really tired of heavy bronzer/blush/highlighter combinations. Especially with grayish nude lips. These fresh, pretty looks are my style these days. My favorite eye mask is by Erno Laszlo. If you can get them (yes, they're pricey) I highly recommend. And I swear by their cleansers. Especially the Detox and White Marble. Thanks for the video! Wishing you a lovely weekend,💚

@@Frenchforaday I hope you love them. Erno Laszlo makes dry skin cleansers too. But I haven't used them enough to form an opinion. These are double cleanse and you really need both to get the best result. But they bundle them for a lesser price. Sometimes you can get a travel set, with generous sizes, to try.before you pay for full sizes.

Thank you for this beautiful video. I will definitely try the mask. I’m almost 44 so I do need more hydration then when I was younger.

It would be nice if you would have someone older (50s) doing a similar routine with their recommendations. Older women tend to have larger pores and this makes makeup much more obvious and uneven skin tone is challenging. Thanks for your great content! 🇫🇷

Another great video Angela. If I could add: There are plenty of French pharmacy brands like Embryolisse, Avene and Caudalie that offer affordable mask options. K-beauty brands may be more readily available in the US and offer plenty of affordable options as well for the same effect.
Personally I prefer creamier masks as I age so I don’t use sheet masks as much. A quick 10 minutes with a creamy mask in the morning and my skin feels ready for the day. As long as it’s just a mask that hydrates your skin and doesn’t exfoliate deeply (that’s reserved for night masks), use what your skin needs the most.
To your comment about skincare first, that’s 100% true. My mom would buy me skin products as far as I can remember. I had a skincare routine as young as 10 or 11 yo (simple cleanse and gentle hydrating cream). It changed at puberty but it was always part of beauty products I had access to before I was even allowed to use makeup. As I aged I adopted tinted moisturizers but no foundation. At the time (the 90s) they looked too unnatural. You just want to achieve a healthy natural glowy look. I also only use red or darker lipsticks for special occasions. For the day, I prefer emphasizing my eyes with eyeshadow and mascara and use a nude lipstick or just lip balm. If I wear a red lip for a day look, it will be blurred as you described in your last video and minimal eye makeup.

I have been to France many times and I can definitely relate to the description you give about French women and the way they do their make up. It will be interesting to see a video on the difference between Italian women and French women on how they do their make up. I am Italian but I am more on the French make up look side, I traveled a lot and that probably gave me a more personalized way of doing my make up during the years. I am a makeup artist but still I love to always look very natural and wear the no makeup look with beautiful red lips, 999 is my fav ❤ Buona domenica 😘😘

If they are meant for one time use, might be the preservatives aren’t so good, plus once exposed to air while on your face, bacteria and fungi spores could get on it and start growing. I guess if you keep it in the refrigerator it could help, but not sure I would do this.

    • @spoofsister
      @spoofsister Рік тому +2

I do that, too. 🤑 Picking the sheet out with clean tweezers, applying with clean/sanitized hands and put it back the same way plus keeping it well closed in the fridge helps to reduce bacteria to a minimum. Works fine for me and I have sensitive skin.

I think the part at the end about the hair is important for a lot of people to hear right now because it seems to be in fashion in some places to not wash the hair for a week and just use dry shampoo in between. @@Frenchforaday That would be lovely! After seeing the amazing and criminally under-seen HBO Documentary "Not So Pretty," they show how much stricter EU regulations are for cosmetics and haircare (as they should be!) compared to the horrible ingredients allowed in the US, and these hidden ingredients are largely (and legally) concealed under the label of "scent" or "fragrance" or "perfume" in any products. They have found embalming fluids, other extremely dangerous ingredients like talcum powder, etc. I'm very much trying to figure out how to get EU-made skincare products in the US, and not EU products made in the US, because they are lower quality and much more dangerous.....
If you could do a video on how to find EU products made in the EU in the U.S., that would be great!!

@@ImnotassweetasIusedtobe Hi lovely, I also watched this series. I think it was great and very educational. To be honest I was tempted to talk about this topic on my UA-cam channel because I think it's important for our health. On the other hand I am afraid that some people might take it the wrong way. Recently I did a video on French diet and I just pointed out some differences between the food in Europe and the US and there were people that felt offended and judged. I didn't mean to shame anyone or to judge the US food industry but it brought negative reactions. In Europe people are very strict and cautious when it comes to what they eat or what they put on their face/hair. It's just a different way of life I guess and of course different legal regulations. So I might explore this topic in the future because I think it will be useful to a lot of people. However, I have to find a way to present it so that no one feels offended. Thank you for watching my videos. xoxo

Hello Angela. You know I am a “ maskin queen “ according to my husband. I never waste the serums. I do have a small fridge in my room where I keep my face “medicines”😂. I got a silicon mask that I use if I must be walking or doing something and don’t want my sheets mask to fall. You look gorgeous. Hope you have a great weekend. XO🥰

Angela - loving these videos! … you should test the masks fro Lululun and from JM Solutions - Lululun are less than $1 each in boxes of 30, JM is @$1 per in a box and you can order from Amazon or direct. They are both so very good and there’s a neat selection of versions for various effects. JM also has the little under eye masks in jars of 60. Sorry to sound like an ad but these made masking frequently possible for me. A saleswoman at the Japanese cosmetics shop in San Francisco’s Japantown introduced me to them.

Consider using a silicone mask over bottled serum or facial moisturizer on damp skin. It’s much more economical and substantially better for the environment.

it was very interesting I actually saw the difference the mask has made on your sking , to me you were pretty much good to go at that point In my humble opinion since you still doing the layering a little bi of this and a touch of that the first step of applying the foundation was not nessesary at all in your case your skin is already nearly perfect as is . I would use some consealer blush highlighter and etc by the time you are done with them pretty much every inch of your skin is covered anyway

Hello Angela! I am relatively new to your channel and really enjoy your knowledge on makeup as I have never been a true makeup person - sort of finding things I like and sticking with them, also going for a pretty minimal look. You helped me find my new foundation and concealer, from Sisley! ❤ I have a question for you regarding your brows. Maybe you have commented somewhere in your video history, which I have yet to see, but what product do you recommend for the most natural looking brows? I really hate filling them in since I feel it starts to look fake, fast. But I have some missing hairs due to a health issue so need a little help. I love your perspective on makeup and beauty! Thank you very much 😘

do you ever express the blackheads and whiteheads in the side crevices of your nostrils and the rest of your nose? No amount of "exfoliating" will rid you of those. The French facial includes a session of deep cleansing/ expressing pore clogging regardless of exfoliating. Your nose and, for some, the "T" area is crammed with dirt and grease. Must be done gently over all the area.

I love all of your tips, and you’re correct to push the importance of skincare first, light makeup where’s needed. BUT, although those skin care products give the appearance of soft, subtle skin, The ingredients list is filled with preservatives and chemicals. None of which is wise to put on your largest organ (your skin) long term. Instead search for non-toxic versions that give you the results without the long term health effects that the ones you’ve shown here most definitely do have. They’re not difficult to find either. Go to your local health store. You’ll find many affordable, non-toxic options there. Other than the products listed, this was an excellent video.
