- Hi friends, In this video I thought I would share with you my picks for natural and simple back to work makeup look. I decided to create a Chanel Fall 2023 makeup wardrobe. I wanted to take a closer look at my favorite Chanel makeup products that I love and that I repurchase. All of the products in this video have been tried and tested by me and I always use them when I want to create soft and natural French makeup look.

You should buy the new 31 Le Rouge lipstick. Especially since you love Chanel. I bought color #2 and love it. Yes, it’s too expensive but the glass case is a work of art and I have it displayed in my glass Chanel shelves. I’m turning 75 this year so it’s my birthday present to myself. I can’t believe I just admitted that! I feel 35 and am told often that I look 50. Is it my Chanel skin care?

This is a really beautiful and elegant office look for sure, Angela! After watching your video, I am definitely going to use my Chanel fall collection from last year. The nude/brown tones really suits the fall and I can use them all year round. I will use the Tweed eyeshadow collection with my Byzance eyeshadow collection this year and take turns. I am a lover of Chanel as well, and especially enjoy the videos you make surrounding their products. I love the water-fresh tint, but find that I need about 3 pumps to cover my whole face. I currently have the Le Beige foundation and would love to try the No. 1. Thank you Angela. I so enjoy watching your videos as I learn something new each time.
I am an older subscriber, and have recently stopped using any eyeshadows but these two palettes- Tisse Rivoli & Tisse Vendome. They are all I need. I have three lipstick, Mademoiselle, Legende and Marie, and two blushes - but I find the blushes so lacking in pigment, so they will be replaced. I do have one Chanel foundation, Vitalumiere Aqua, but it not a very good match, so need go in and find something better. I so love your videos - so elegant and simple.

So happy to see a minimalist makeup video. Very inspiring, thank you so much! I always skip the foundation, using only the Cle de peau concealer on the strategic points of the face. As a working mom, I try to avoid products in pans or glass. Multi use sticks are of great help, and of course Terracotta for a healthy bronzed glow. Mascara and tinted lip balm round it all up.

Lovely video, Angela. I have been fighting the urge to purchase the Chanel Fantaisie de Chanel blush/highlighter ever since first seeing it on your channel and I just could not fight it any longer. I finally tracked it down and after promising my arm, let and first born child LOL, it is on its way to me. I am so excited. I received the Water Fresh Tint today and couldn't wait to try it. I think I need to play with it a little as I didn't have much skincare on and I had a drier sunscreen since I was just staying home. It seemed to catch on my dry patches but tomorrow I will do my full skincare and then apply it. I have high hopes for it! As I mentioned in another video, I am 70 and my skin is very dry, with wrinkles and hyperpigmentation from sun damage. I mentioned then that you had inspired me to accept my imperfections and when I heard you say today not to erase our memories, it really spoke to my heart. I worked hard for all of my 70 years. I am a registered nurse and worked full time on the night shift at the hospital for 45 years. I earned my imperfections and now will say that I have wonderful skin as it shows that I lived my life. Thank you so much.
One bad thing about going back and looking at all your older videos is that I see things I wish I could find and cannot find anymore. I have spent countless hours over the past two weeks scouring the internet to find hidden products at secondary stores and hidden online sellers. Some I have been successful and some not but it has been fun trying.

Hi Angela, you are absolutely right about the Chanel Rouge 31. That is a ridiculous price for a a bit cheap looking packaging. It is better to invest in good skincare, like Chanel Sublimage. ❤

I was able to purchase the Gucci highlighter in london as we don’t have it here in the US….at least not where I live . It’s a great product.
As for Chanel. I love the Sublimage eye concealer in the messy jar. It’s the best concealer I’ve ever used and I will repurchase.
I use the water fresh tint foundation as I like light coverage.
I also use the Sublimage eye cream. I just wish it wasn’t so expensive.
I do wish Chanel made skin care without the fragrance as some products give me an instant headache and I think it’s the fragrance. I also wish the moisturizers and foundation had SPF.
And right now I’m reading ‘Coco Chanel’ by Lisa Chaney. Fascinating life story. Not too thrilled with her WW2 experience though. But what a rags to riches story.

I appreciate the book but I must add that the research that Lisa made was not the most thorough one even though she knows how to market her book :) I think she spent too much time on the marketing of the book. She has some serious misses and she is focused too much on Gabrielle's love life. I've always been interested in Gabrielle's story and I've explored lots of documents (including historic ones on that matter). About Chanel's makeup and skincare: I wish they would remove or reduce the fragrance in most of their skincare. It will be so much better for sensitive skin. I start to appreciate the Sublimage concealer a lot more since my under eye area got drier. xoxo

I'm a long time Chanel fan. I'm so glad you feature Chanel regularly. One comment is the lipstick shades you use don't look as good on me as I'm a blonde. I have less contrast between my hair color and skin color than you do. I wonder if you would consider using models other than yourself?
Bought myself a nude lipstick after one of your recent videos and ended us with Mademoiselle. Thing is, my go to favorite, Raffinee has been discontinued and I had purchased it before I learned how much better warm colors suited my undertones. Mademoiselle looked and felt like a warm version of my favorite. For the record here in the US some of the links work fine but the blush links are especially challenging. I loved your choice in "wardrobe" for the new season. Chanel seems to haver been made for you! Fond regards G
I really want the Gucci highlighter but it seems to be sold out everywhere! I do love the Chanel water tint foundation. I saw someone use it as a primer, and I've started to do the same, under Chantecaille cushion foundation or, more often, under Typology. I use the YSL under eye concealor. I just bought a Chanel blush in a stick form and I'm not sure what I think about it yet. I'm using the Charlotte Tilbury e/s in Sophisticate and enjoying it but would like to try the Chanel. Someday I will try the Sisley tinted moisturizer. I bought the Cle de Peu and it looks so gummy on my skin - I returned it. Thank you Angela.

And with Chanel products, it is easy to do that. Water fresh tint is my go-to foundation. But I would like to try the N 1. I was a bit concerned because I have oily skin. What do you think? Thanks. Hi Edsandra :) Thank you so much for watching my video. N 1 de Chanel works best on normal, normal to dry skin or dehydrated skin. It can work on oily skin in the cold months but it also depends on your skincare. If you use a lightweight serum or a light moisturizer and then the N 1 foundation it will work. But if you like to layer skincare products, you might find it a bit too glowy. It all depends on how oily your skin gets during the day because N 1 de Chanel is a moisturizing foundation. If youe skin tends to get more oily during the day, I would stick to a water based foundation like the Les Beiges Healthy glow liquid foundation. xoxo

However, I personally use a thin layer of a strongly covering foundation, because in combination with my skincare, a sheer foundation would dilute the covering pigments too much.
In so doing, I only need a small amount of foundation and get a thin layer of products in total.

I have the Waterfresh Tint and think about buying Capture Total Dreamskin. I saw a video where you blendede this product with a tinted moisturizer. Would Dreamskin work with Waterfresh Tint as well?

I don’t really agree with the hanging onto sun spots, and I’m quite happy to erase evidence of my “happy memories” I would like to think I am still “making happy memories” I don’t want them to remain on my face.
