Thanks so much for watching! I hope you found this video on how to write an author bio helpful. If you’re planning to write a children’s book, let me know! I can’t wait to cheer you on!
Hi Eevi! I never planned to write a children's book, yet I'm finalizing my manuscript! So glad I found your channel. Your content has been so helpful to me. Thank you.
This video was very helpful. I'm trying to come up with an author bio at the moment. I was wondering, where should the author bio go in a children's book? I'm not sure if I should put it on the last page of my book or on the back cover. Picture books are short and I don't remember seeing an author bio on the back covers of other children's books.
I'm so happy to hear you've found the video helpful! In the end, where we place our author bio is completely up to us. I went ahead and copied a link to one of my other videos that will hopefully help you make a decision: ua-cam.com/video/O1xGBUo00rM/v-deo.html
Thank you Eevi. Actually, I have fun every Sunday listening to your videos. I learn new information each week about how to craft a children's book. Thanks for spreading so much sunshine.
Thanks Eevi🙏 I love that you said we don’t have to have just one bio. I think I’ve hit all your marks, but maybe it’s too long. Since I’m looking to get sponsors for my first picture book, I’ll now write another bio geared to that objective. Perhaps I should set up a website where I can include more info. Thanks again. Always such good stuff. AJ
I am in the process of getting my very first book published. I love your videos! When you mention putting the author bio inside your book, where would that be placed? I don't really see author bios on the back cover so I don't think I want it there.
Hi Tonya! Thanks so much for your kind words. I usually put my author bio toward the back. I went ahead and copied a link to one of my videos that shares the best order within our books. I so hope this helps! ua-cam.com/video/O1xGBUo00rM/v-deo.html
Hi Jan! You can put your author bio on either side. And if you have watched one of my other recent videos on review requests, I would go ahead and add the author bio BEFORE such a request. I so hope this helps!

Hello Eevi. Wondering, should you only put a bio on the right hand side in the back pages, or can it go on the left hand side in the back pages?
Hi Jan! You can put your author bio on either side. And if you have watched one of my other recent videos on review requests, I would go ahead and add the author bio BEFORE such a request. I so hope this helps!
@@EeviJones Thank you again Eevi, ....you're the best!!
I agree with what you said about presenting or having different bios for different platforms/audiences. One hat doesn't fit all.
And it's so helpful to prepare a few different versions in advance.
I'm trying to write my bio for my kid's book and these examples are very helpful. Question: Are these bios in the actual kids book too?
I'm so happy to hear it, Alex! And yes, you'll want to include an author bio toward the end of your book. Happy writing!
@@EeviJones I added one. Thanks for those examples. They were super helpful.
