Yeah, pretty robust.
That's frightening. PCA has had a rule that devices attached by suction cups must be tethered. Supposed to be checked as part of the final tech. I wonder how his was attached.

That is something to consider for sure - think it would protect against 1lb?
@ignitionontheleft I have it on my RS and gravel flung up from the track exit still managed to crack the windshield. At the very least the ppf is stopping it from spreading
I figure it could save your life. Not necessarily the windshield
Make no mistake about it, that could have killed you. At those speeds it would penetrate the windshield like a bullet.
Might be worth getting some proper bolt on mounts on same of these high end performance cars. That would probably allow for safer driving overall
Suction cups don't seem to suffice.
