- San Diego Bay, CA - Fishing the metal slow pitch jig (SWJ) during gusts of wind and heavy current. We have to use the right tools for the job. Getting to the bottom fast was important and the SWJ was the proper tool for the evening.

60' hole off the Shelter Island pier usually holds some large fish, I usually used a 1oz lead head jig with a lime green 3-4 inch scampi bouncing through the grass tops on a drift. On an incoming tide the wind and drift would take my boat diagonally across the bay so I would drop with the bottom contour in the channel. Usually catch enough to give you a sore wrist but they were 1" short for the most part, fun on a fresh water bass rig with 6lb line.
Man those bate reels are making a come up . They look nice
Then dealing with another tag dealing with out of country royal relations so fishing is a hit and miss definitely but mc cast is in the shop
I got tagged at work schems of fishing gear to ratios of hunting gear for quality and concisement bummed out

Hit more structure. Downsize on the lure never hurts. Bucktail jig or swim bait.
Are you not allowed to keep your fish?
Me and my cousin were out there at night also and the same seal was harassing us too
it's been a big issue from what I hear
it probably learned to steal fish when kayakers hook up or maybe kayakers feed the seal
Remember time lapses are like current and tide so it's difficult to meet and match bro love your life like you love your wife
