- The Warbaits Underspin and Slug (fluke) combo has been my most productive lure over the last few years in San Diego Bay. The lure looks like a bait fish, it cuts through the water quickly and has a "darting" action when popped.

what are good swim baits for the under spin 1/2 ounce
Look for a round body swimbait. I like the Keitech and Berkley swimbaits. It's important for the blade to swim freely and the round body baits offer that. The square body can block the water flow over the blade. Check these links:

I see you might be coming to long beach, try out alamitos bay for big spotted bay bass. My PB there is 18" right behind ballast point on a 3/8 ounce under spin and Berkeley gulp,grab a brew right after 🤙

I prefer the space of the PA. The PA is basically a small boat. The new Outback is bad ass though. It's fast, roomy, comfortable. It has a lot of room for gear.
When I'm helping guys decide between the two kayaks, it usually comes down to cost and storage. This new Outback is definitely going to take a percentage of the PA market. I'll talk more about the Outback in the next video.
I suggest taking a Demo if possible

I gave it some thought and even fished the Outback today. For overall experience, I prefer the PA. There is more room, storage, the chair is so comfortable.
Before purchasing, I suggest doing a demo on both kayaks to help make the decision

The PA is the best kayak on the market. But there is a place for the Outback. The PA is the Bentley, The Outback is the Nissan 370z

Ok, I just retired and am fishing the San Diego bay area. The rule book says 14 inches for spotted bay bass but then says 10 inches alternate length. What does that mean?
Legal size for saltwater bass in CA is 14”.
Quick question, do you rinse with freshwater your underspins, lures, or whatever after each fishing session?
Yes, I wash off my rods, reels and any baits I use with fresh water after saltwater use. The salt will destroy anything if left to sit and dry up
I think sculpin are year round actually, 450 ft or less 10 inch keepers minimum, 5 inch fillet minimum with patch of skin left on for identification purposes

In the bay I use the REVO X. For Inshore (calico etc) Beast 40 or 50
What size warbaits under spin would you recommend for a 4inch keitech swimbait? Sorry I’m new to fishing swimbaits .
It depends on what depth of water you are fishing. But I would say 3/8oz, 1/2oz and 3/4oz got great.

Great question about the new Outback. I think they did nice the seat area forward a bit. I really like the new Outback.
The PA 12 is great as well. I’m typically on the PA 14, which is a big kayak. The PA 12 is more maneuverable.
