I found a39 carat ruby very similar to this in Franklin North Carolina about 18 years ago. It made a nice set of earrings and a pendant. Not clear crystal but nice color.
I have one exactly the same, with green crystal inlusions (jade), but three maybe four times the size, i think from Myanmar, bought in Laos. Just sitting on a sunny windowsill now. I'd never cut it, but I'm thinking about sculpting something maybe, possibly a pedestal for a quartz piece. I like the chinese tradition of carving where you do the absolute minimum cutting / carving in order to preserve the natural form of the material.
Can anyone please help me !! ?? What is he looking for when he shines the light into the stone ? With corundum ( Ruby ) I’d check mine with black lights ?!!
Hey if you are asking about faceting stone cutting charges Rates for under 4 carats stone after cut is USD 13/- each stone For cabochons as you see in this video @ USD 1 per carats
Hey! The website is mentioned in the profile but not much variety is posted there. It would be great if you can contact me on WhatsApp or Instagram. I have mentioned a link in my UA-cam profile 💐
I have one about that size and maybe one bigger then that from the usa out of georgia i even have a bag full of ruby but can't find a place to sell them let alone have them checked to see how valuable they are though some are so dark red light don't go all the way through
It seems like you have a great collection of rubies. Do you get cut any of them? I have some clients who specialize in rubies. If you'd like, we can discuss further on WhatsApp - the link is in the UA-cam profile.
This ruby that you see here can not be cutting because its inclusions is not strong enough ,there are a lot of cracks. Therefore, it must be done using heat treatment and filling the cracks with various chemicals. To make the gems hard enough to be polished. Gemstone Market in Chanthaburi, Thailand, open on Fridays and Saturdays. Current prices for pink rubies faceting , on average, for all sizes, are as follows: 1. Transparent ruby with lead glass filled is 1 dollar per carat. 2. Ruby gemstone transparent type, bismuth glass filled is 2.5 dollars per carat. 3. Translucent ruby with silica glass filled , 5 dollars per carat. 4. translucent ruby gemstone, glass free , 7 dollars per carat. You should choose to buy gemstones that have the results of a X-ray fluorescent machine, which can take the gems to be examined at a laboratory in this gem market. In order to get the type of gemstone you want. Which you can buy in large sizes and in large quantities, such as 100 kilograms.

@@mamaykomariyah1212 yes possible! However, finding gemstones requires knowledge of the local geology and often involves careful examination of the soil and rock layers
Hello, those Rubies need to be cooked at high temperatures and will take on a transparent color. Rubies also melt like glass and they are placed in metal cylinders to melt at high temperatures and then they are removed from the mold before they stick to the metal, this is how they do it in Indonesia, or they wrap the stones in aluminum foil and throw them onto a hot coal for a couple of hours.
@@panzerlieb Hello, yes, in Indonesia if I remember correctly they collect raw Rubies sand, even without color they look like normal quartz, but they discovered that Rubies melt like glass, they put them in metal tubes and they give them temperature to melt those sands, and then from those tubes they obtain some beautifully Italian red cylindrical bars, and they sell them in pieces or bars to jewelers, it's incredible.

I have found nearly 100k carats of this type of ruby, I call them pink sapphires because they aren't "pigeon blood" dark red but still a nice deep pink. I live at the foothills of the Appalachian mountains in the United States and make cabochons out of them. Some I keep rough and wire wrap them if they have decent clarity
