That is the nicest largest Smithsonian collection quality morganite beryl I have ever seen. You undervalue that stone and your talent skill and attention to detail.
That vault door is huge!
@@mikehoncho3099 vault doors like that protect more than $200,000. The installation alone is several several thousand.
And that Morganite can barely fir through it!!!!
I love how when the cut stone is rotating and the three axes are in line, the number of facets multiply, truly amazing work and a beautiful gem.
Bravo, Steve! It was such a pleasure watching you cut this masterpiece!!
Morganite is probably my most favorite of the gems. I love Rubies and find Tanzanite so very appealing and enchanting. Mandarin Garnet will suck me in at a glance but Morganite resides at the very top of my list. This stone is stunning!

Thanks for watching Angie.
Amazing…what a craftsman
Well as an ex gem cutter that stone was excellently cut and an amazing video, well done.
My family did a lot of lapidary work, and I had some wonderful times. At one point, I looked into faceting, mostly because of my love of faceted gems. Never did, though and stayed with Opals. This was a wonderful and fascinating process to watch. The cut for this stone gave it life as you looked down into it. I was captured by the varied splashes of light generated by the facet angles of the pavilion. Lastly, the color. I've seen Morganite that are pink. This color is, in my opinion, much more stunning. Thanks for a view into faceting.
Your welcome and thanks for watching
That was amazing to watch having no previous knowledge of this process. The end result was mind blowing.
Really pretty before and after 😊
Great work and a beautiful gem. I have polished beryl I found at the Beryl Pit, outside of Quadville, Ontario. None of it is gem material, but it makes nice cabachons. There are different shades of blue.
