Category: Any% (Survival, Glitched)
Some exploits:
- To highlight interactables, enable this option in the "Accessibility" section in the settings
- Bind your M1 key to the scroll wheel to break rocks faster
- Hold your sprint key to keep the crafting menu open
- If there's anything around the base hatch/droppod door, like terrain or an item, the exit animation will be skiped
Some glitches:
- Ion cube animation skip - 15:02 (Throw a flare and then immediately after pick up the cube)
- Databox animation skip - 7:40 (If you open a databox and then pick up a seaglide, and you have a clear hotbar slot, you won't slow down)
- Propulsion storage - 13:05 / 14:00 (Even if there are items inside, you can first hold a waterproof locker using propulsion cannon and then pick it up)
- Snow(ball) storage - 3:50 / 5:48 (While throwing a snowball try to open any locker, now you can access that locker from any place by opening PDA)
- Out of Bounds base clip - 11:05 (Build a base and a hatch near a wall, now you can clip through that wall)
- Propulsion Boost - 10:44 (Hold any item with a prop. cannon and use booster tank at the same time, this heavily increases speed)
- Pathfinder launch - 9:27 (Here's a quick video explaining it: • Pathfinder launch expl... , the only additions are: lower your fps = faster you'll fly, on 30fps you can launch using only one-node tower and not two, your "Detail" setting must be on "low" to deploy stationary nodes (the launch itself works on every setting though))
- Sanctuary skip - downloading Al-An is only needed to disable the forcefields for body caches, but we can just clip inside them instead, meaning the Sanctuary is not required
- Transfer skip - 19:40 (If you initiate transfer ~1.2s after it becomes possible, you will regain control over Robin immediately after cutscene starts, on practice, however, we need "Highlight interactables" option (see exploits), when Al-An's body lowers, run towards it immediately, it will be highlighted and periodically dim, wait until the 3rd dim to initiate transfer)

that snowball ghost storage, mind blown 🤯
how does it work?
My best guess is that he animation cancel the opening of the ghost storage by throwing the snowball so the game thinks he’s opening his PDA but his not until he presses the pda button
I had to pause, rewind and watch it again like 4 times... WTF ! This snow ball trick is out of this world.

That's insane I thought that the game was made in a way where you had to look over each area and do the events as AL says but you not picking him up in the beginning really made it seem like it was made for speedruns.... Very Impressive!!!

you can just ignore the alians artifacs , in a normal gameplay you will lose cool stuff like the recycler or the ion bateries

@@mareknovotny5441 Yes and it was very useful. Craft stuff in the Seatruck in order to carry more and disassemble for free afterwards. Missing a single component? No problem disassemble something you aren't using anymore.
@@NLmkkillah Or you can save storing space by keeping them that way and dissasembling if you need a component. I stored titanium as ingots, copper as copper wires and silver as wiring kits. Or you can go further by mixing the last two and store them as compasses

At 24 mins i was plotting a whole plan on how to cross the titan holefish (I thought it will kill me)

I love how you never even mat Alan... Although I guess it makes sense that if there was a new body Alan would be able to transport himself from the core facility so it adds up

It took me 10 hours to realize you can scan stuff in cargo boxes in the original game and you beat the whole thing in 25 minutes

I've been around since the game's release, so i can't really say how long it took me, sorry. But If you want to learn this specific category there's some basic info on the glitches in the description, slightly outdated guide by Eclypse can be found on the speedrun site.

My first was about 43 hours
I finished my first one yesterday, took me 29 hours. Im just blown away with this run
20 hours is amazing tho, i've beat mine in 25 but I spent like 10h just farming and building a base that's on the land and connects to the water (I also spent lots of time just goofing around with prawnsuit on the ice land, if you jump diagonally u go super fast and you can jump out of bounds and other crazy stuff, it was fun xD)

I suggest building a very small base in the purple crystal caves and exploring that area. The shadow leviathans will be a nuisance for a bit but if your base is built there then it won’t require you to travel far everytime

Games like subnautica and below zero are the type of games that need to be taken slowly and and fully as there's so much that the developers put into the game, all the lore it's honestly a crime to not fully explore this game and do everything you possibly can because the games are just that good and worth every minute of time spent running from reaper leviathans and all that! 😁

im surprised gamers dont make more then one tank, I do, I often have about 2 to 4 tanks at times, but they seem to give diminished AIR!!! quantities, though. and its air you breath not oxygen from scuba tanks. oxygen become toxic at 1 atm or 34 ft fresh water or greater, this often leads to nitrox diving which are usually rebreathers and sooooo many pony tanks weightbelts lessen their purpose underwater. not a lot of fun................
