    picking up the crabs using bare hand? damn you are a monster XD

    Also like to add...for all of you calling this cruelty...did you ever consider killing any insect cruel when it was just doing its natural thing? Yea. I'll wait.

      Joel Malcom you've been waiting for two months man?

      You waited 3 months to reply?

      @LambertBowden56 7 років тому +3

      Your dumb wait is over. Crushing an insect is quick... boiling something alive is not. Just like when we hunt dear, we make sure its dead before we start hacking and cooking.

    • @Will-216
      @Will-216 6 років тому +5

      jert opp what???? So the dear doesn’t run away and die a slow death? He did it the right way. when you bring them to a boil the will less likely feel it as opposed to dumping them straight into a boiling pot. But who really gives a fuck right....

    Tyrone, I'm a chef in Memphis, TN. and I am not going to try and give you any suggestions like some other folks because I think you've got this recipe on lockdown. Straight vinegar and Old Bay for steam sounds amazing. Here is my only problem, you reaching your bare hands down in that bag. Are you crazy man? I'm ready to cook some crabs but I'm not sinking my hands into a grocery bag full of those SOB's. You're a beast. I'm inspired.

    A few years ago I searched for info about wiring up some new outlets, Tyrone had some excellent tutorials. About to steam some crab legs today and stumbled across Tyrone's familiar voice as he guides me through another journey. Subscribed.

    Tyrone. Lived in MD my entire life, ate more crabs than I care to think about. Moved to Texas, they have good sized Blue Crab, didn't know how to cook them. Now I do. A taste of home, more than 1100 miles away. Thanks a bunch man!

    The first time I steamed crabs I put them in the pot to steam, then turned on the heat as you demonstrated. I sat down with my wife to have a beer and a crab scampers across the room. There were crabs in the living room, down the hall, under my bed, etc. What fun seeing my wife standing on the table... I learned to have the steam going before placeing the cooking section with the babes on top. Great first tape. It would be better if you edited a bit. Wish I could have been with you - love crabs. God bless.

    This is one of the best videos on how to steam blue crabs. I would add some water to the vinegar though. Some people add beer. It's a personal preference. Your seasoning sound delicious.

    • @privateprivate5302
      @privateprivate5302 6 років тому +1

      hi, why vinegar and not just plain water? does the vinegar steam give them a tangy flavor? or hide a "fishy" smell? if you use beer and vinegar, do they taste like beer? -just curious, i'm in Midwest and know very little but extremely curious

  • @Tyrone3340
    @Tyrone3340  11 років тому +12

    No actually 95% of the time I use beer but I don't want to offend or encourage minors that may watch the video to try and go out and get beer.

    • @rosalindbeard8553
      @rosalindbeard8553 4 роки тому

      Why do they stop moving once you put the seasoning on

    • @ronlawray1563

      Not wanting to encourage MINORS to use beer is admirable....l get what you're saying...BUT how many minors have you EVER heard of in your lifetime, EVER steamed or plan to steam crabs?

    great vid! I just steamed some West-Coast Crabs(Dungeness-Red-Rock) I caught yesterday for the first time instead of boiling them and they cooked out well. The crab-meat came apart from the shell easier and the texture was more softer&tastier.
    I may never boil crab again!
