That's no harmonica, that my friend is pure Adam Rupp. If you look at older videos you'll see another guy named Chris Rupp, Adam's brother, they started Home Free about 17 years ago. The guy in the back of this video is new as of 2006 I think. That's Adam Chance, goes by Chance replaced Chris. He's a baritone with an amazing bass as well. Tim Foust, the bass has an incredible 5 octave range and can go low to high and will make your ears go what was that??? Austin the high tenor is incredible and Rob, tenor , is so smooth. They are incredible.

Adam Rupp is the “Harmonica” player… I think he’s a robot. There are a couple of videos of him playing the drums (without a drum kit) amazing. Tim Foust is the base singer, he’s at least part Dragon. There are a couple of clips in live performances where he blows the subwoofer in the speaker. I call it the reverse of the Opera Singer shattering the wine glass, He does a duet with Peter Hollens singing “Misty Mountain” the song from the Hobbit Movies well worth your time. The rest of the group are just as ridiculously talented. “How Great Thou Art” will bring tears to your eyes even if you’ve never set foot in a church. My personal favorite (aside of Man of Constant Sorrow) is “Seven Bridges Road”. Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole.

You never go wrong with a Home Free song, they are incredible talented.
Tim Foust, bass 5+ octave range. He has "Storytime with Tim" on their liveshows, that are hillarious funny.
Chris Rupp, baritone, founder off the group. Not in this video, but in 2016 and older ones, always has a cap ore a cowboyhat on.
(Adam) Chance, baritone/ bass with a silky smooth voice. He's the one in the white cowboyhat, making the jaw harp sound, in the beginning and end, and was handpicked to follow Chris, when he left.
Rob Lundqvist, tenor, big beard and glases and are the big jokester (along with Tim) in the group.
Austin Brown, high tenor, lead singer here. Incredible voice, and can match female singers on key, and has done both in the song "Crazy" and "At last".
Adam Rupp, freak off nature, the human drum kit aso. He's a extremly talented percussionist, 20+ years experience and two championships under his belt. And to boot, an angelic tenor voice (listen to "How great thou art" to hear him sing).
All in all, they are one off a kind, in the best of ways.

This is Bluegrass, a traditional folk genre from the mountains. The song is so old nobody really knows it's origin. It was PUBLISHED in 1913. Yes, published...as sheet music, which was pretty much the only way music got out to the public back then. The version heard in the movie was done by the Stanley Brothers, famous for Bluegrass music. Home Free's fanbase are known as Home Fries and I'm definitely one. Try their cover of Boyz 2 Men's "End of the Road" to see the versatility of these guys. Home Free is the real deal. They’re a cappella so no instruments. That’s Adam, the beatboxer, doing the drums, harmonica and other noises with his mouth. Tim, the bass, has a 5 octave range so he can go super low but also sing up in the tenor range. They can all sing and all take the lead depending on the song. You can watch Adam Rupp Drum Solo on UA-cam to see him do drums with his mouth…incredible. This song was made popular in the movie O Brother Where Art Thou but was made 100 years ago. Try End of the Road, Brothers in Arms, Butts Medley (their silly side). They are known for their great harmonies. Good reaction LFR!

To hear a solo from each, I recommend "End of the Road" featuring Rob Lundquist, "When A Man Loves A Woman" featuring Austin Brown, "Brothers In Arms" Tim Foust & Adam Chance, "Mayday" group harmonies, and lastly to totally blow your mind the "human freak of nature" aka Adam Rupp (beatboxer/vocal percussionist) gives a drum solo that will blow your mind. ua-cam.com/video/EanKWLUaDpg/v-deo.html Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole.

All of the youtube reactors (to this cover) that I've seen are impressed, deservedly, with Tim's low register when he sings the lead. But only a few seem to notice that he drops down an octave (or so) in the chorus that follows. So when the reactors are commenting on Tim's low register, I find myself talking to them, saying, "Wait for it ...", referring to his imminant octave drop. Sadly, the reactors who were so impressed with Tim's voice when he sang the lead either didn't think the octave drop was worth a comment, or worse, they missed it entirely.

Since you mentioned Boyz 2 Men you should 100% react to Home Free's cover of "End of the Road". You'll be happy you did! Also check any Pentatonix for some of the same type of sounds.

The song itself (also known as "I Am a Man of Constant Sorrow") was originally written in 1913 by Dick Burnett and recorded by Emry Arthur in 1928.
Several versions of the song by Bob Dylan, by Joan Baez, by Barbara Dane, by Judy Collins, by Peter, Paul and Mary.
It regained popularity after being featured in the 2000 film O Brother, Where Art Thou? staring George Clooney.

We call it a no-monica 😁 These guys are legit and the best harmonizers around. They are all incredibly skilled at their trades individually as well as together and their talents keep blowing us Home Fries, their fans, away. We are constantly pleasantly surprised by them, their music and their videos. On top of that they are genuinely kind and caring human beings who use their platform to spread a message of love, acceptance and peace.
New subscriber here, ready to go down the Home Free rabbit hole with you. And I promise you that they will keep putting you in a started off awe.

Hey Van. These guys are unbelievable. Every sound they make. There are vids on UA-cam of Adam their beatboxer doing 7 or 8 mins all on his own just doing sounds and drums. Look up Adam Rupp drum solo and you will have several to choose from and it's live!!! The last guy you see in the vid is their newest member Adam Chance. He was doing the "Jews Harp" sound and he is a baritone who was the bass singer for his last group. Their is another great bass singer named Avi Kaplan who used to be with a group named pentatonix. These guys do a cover of Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire with Avi joining them as a guest. The very last note of that vid is actually Tim (the bass you heard here) I promise you have never heard a lower note. So check out their vid of ring of fire and also Go Rest High on that Mountain and How Great Thou Art and a million more. They also do some originals and touch on all genres with their covers. Great group.

This is from Wikipedia..The first commercially released record was by Emry Arthur, on January 18, 1928. He sang it while playing his guitar and accompanied by banjoist Dock Boggs. The record was released by Vocalion Records (Vo 5208) and sold well, and he recorded it again in 1931.
