Home Free are totally a cappella. NO INSTRUMENTS. The beat boxer (Adam Rupp) is doing all the vocal percussion with the "no-monica" (what the Home Fries, their fans, call it when he does the harmonica sound without a harmonica) layered in. He is a world class, crazy talented beat boxer/vocal percussionist. First to solo is Austin Brown, sky high tenor with a voice strong enough to bend steel. Second to solo, Rob Lundquist lower tenor with a voice smooth and sweet as caramel with a shot of soul thrown in. Super bass, Tim Foust with a crazy 5 octave range. Baritone/Bass, Adam Chance (Chance) with a smooth, smoky voice, doing the mouth harp sound throughout. All are insanely talented and multi skilled. Surprises? You ain't heard nothin', yet! They have almost 200 videos on You Tube and you won't find a bad one. "Folsom Prison Blues", "Moonshine", "End of the Road", "Blue Ain't Your Color", "Some Girls Do", "Unchained Melody", "In The Blood", "The Driver" "My Church", are just a small sampling of their work that are my particular favorites and they have a killer song on Facebook called "Ain't Goin' Down Til The Sun Comes Up".
@@donaldballman2825 I have watched various videos of Adam's solos hundreds of times. I'm kind of addicted to his beat boxing. Thank you for the heads up. That was very nice of you. The first time I watched it, I had to pick my jaw up off the floor! lol
Young man, as a 62 yrs old lady, I can tell you that you have found the Best of the Ole time sound!! They make all the sounds and use only their mouths, no instruments. Look on UA-cam and you'll find all their songs. They are a real treat to this Ole lady. 😊 Oh, you might like to hear Chris Stapleton Tennessee Whiskey. See how you like that. 👍
In the Appalachian region, there was a religious and economic bias against instruments so many people sang a capella. These guys take it to another level because they sing the instrumental parts.
I’m southern, grandfather a WW2 vet. This is how families white and black would make up songs during the late summer fall sitting on the porch. My case my grandfather would start off playing the harmonica my grandmother, my aunts would all cut in. The way time was passed around the south from jazz, country the blues all mixed in. Absolutely wild
I grew up on a porch in an eastern Kentucky holler….there were plenty of nights listening to that fiddle, guitar and high lonesome sound. Those sounds drowned out the poverty and struggle and I’ve carried them with throughout decades as a reminder of where I came from.
This style of music comes from Scotland and Ireland. As The South was stettle with many Scots and Irish and some British. Most of the British left after the war.
"Ain't no way that man's voice is that deep". You're right......it's deeper LOL!!!!! It's also higher. Tim has a 5 or 6 octave vocal range. These guys are all so immensely talented!! They make all sounds (instruments, etc.). They are 100% A Capella. I don't know how they're not consistently at the top of the billboard charts. I guess not everyone has good musical taste.....
Indeed. I can match Tim's range in this song, but his lower notes we've heard elsewhere? Forget about it. I've got close to a 4 octave range, but the quality of my singing voice was only good enough for high school chorus back in the day, in my own opinion. One of my chorus teachers had me stand in the back of the class and I used my ability to project. She turned to the others and said, "Did you hear that? That's what I need from the rest of you." That was around 30 years ago. I suppose if my parents could have afforded a vocal coach and the opportunities were there I could have seen how far I could take it, but perhaps it just wasn't meant to be.
The sad thing is, so many have never heard of this group, including me until about 3 weeks ago. Even then, I stumbled onto them by accident. Having said all of that, I LOVE THESE GUYS!!!!!!! 💜👍💜👏💜🤩💜😉💜
You have just been introduced to the best a cappella group out there. This song blew me away when I first heard it & I was completely hooked. These guys are all so talented. They lean towards country but they can do any genre. They all can take the lead depending on whos voice is best for the song. They are known for their tight harmonies. Tim Foust is one of the best bass singers out there & their beatboxer vocal percussionist Adam Rupp can simulate any sound. This song is very old & is done in the bluegrass country style. It was used in the movie "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" starring George Clooney.
@@klssn34 Geoff has admitted he is not a bass singer but baritone who discovered subharmonics to go lower. But he struggles getting the low notes. Whereas Tim is a true basso profundo who hits the lows naturally & with no effort. He does it live all the time. Sorry but Geoff is not in the same league as Tim or Avi.
@@dagmar.6954 he might say he's a baritone, but he isn't. his normal speaking voice would nearly be out of that range. i would like to see geoff, tim and avi compared to tim storms though (it wouldn't be close but its not a comparison i've seen much of)
Home Free IS human voices ONLY...if you hear it, they vocalized it. They are a vocal group, that has been around for a decade, touring, performing, recording acapella group professionals.
This is the song that got me addicted to Homefree! There is no 12 step program for this addiction! Have fun going down this rabbit hole because there is no one like them! Great reaction!😍
I enjoy listening to you stutter trying to describe your reaction to Home Free Admit it they are fantastic. GOD gave them the gifts. They honor GOD by putting their gift to good use, especially together. WOW!
These guys are unbelievably talented. Believe it or not,, there was not one single instrument played in the song. All of the music was done by their mouth. The first time I heard it I was dumbfounded and it still blows my mind to this day.
You're right about the "way back in the day" part. This song dates back to 1913, almost 110 years ago. The first person to record it did it in 1928, and it was recorded again in 1950, and 1961, and 1984, and then in 2000 it was recorded for the film "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou" in what most consider to be its definitive form. This song is a classic.
I’ll just say it out loud. If it weren’t for slavery this song wouldn’t exist. This is definitely derived from slavery harmonies. We all look back in sorrow on that horrible period. Regret and repentance are God’s way of making us better people. However, it is estimated that there are 30 million people held in slavery TODAY. From Jesus’s Sermon on the Mount Matthew 5 3Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. 4Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. 5Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the Earth. 6Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied. 7Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. 8Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
Actually, this song dates back to the mid 1700s. The earliest mention of it was in somebody's writings in the 1800s. This person had heard it and was told it had been handed down from someone's grandparents. It's thought it was probably a song from England or Scotland originally and probably about Jesus. There's a passage in Isaiah in the Old Testament where Jesus is referred to as the "Man of Constant Sorrow."
@@60sGirl123 While America's music has been greatly enriched by the slaves of the south who lived 150 years ago, country music and blues are hugely influenced by Ireland and England.
@@wandertree , Isaiah 53:3, "...a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief." It doesn't say "constant" sorrows, but the thought is definitely there in the prophet Isaiah's prophecy of Jesus the Messiah. John 11:35, the shortest verse in the entire Bible, says, "Jesus wept," when He was looking down from a hilltop on Jerusalem below, knowing the sin, hardened hearts, and unbelief that dwelt in its people.
Oh man, you have opened the best rabbit hole you'll find! Where do I begin to start your Home Free journey? "End of the Road," a Boys 2 Men cover, "When A Man Loves A Woman," "Butts Remix," (really fun!), "Thinking Out Loud/Let's Get It On," (Ed Sheran/Marvin Gaye mashup), and "Ring of Fire," feat. Avi Kaplan formerly of Pentatonix will be a good start for you! Enjoy the ride!
Welcome to Home Free the best Acapella group in my opinion. Every sound is from their voices. Adam Rupp is the beat boxer one of the best in the world. Home Free's fans are called Home Fries. If you continue to react to them expect A LOT of views! Their fans are very loyal. I would recommend reacting to their cover of "End of The Road" by Boys To Men....or if you want one that will make you laugh react to the "Butt's Remix" It's a mix of songs all about the booty...lol! =)
Have to agree with the recomendations... these are two great non-country songs, but the "Butts remix" does have a couple of country songs mixed into it as well. And yes, it is all about the Ba-Donk-a-Donk!
All vocal. The beat boxer, Adam Rupp, is world class! In most of their songs, people forget there are no instruments, he is THAT good! Tim Foust, the bass, has a 5 octave range. They don't only do country, try End of the Road (Boys 2 Men), When a Man Loves a Woman (Percy Sledge). The one I want everyone to hear though is Everybody Walkin' This Land! ( original by Paul Cauthen). That is one with a powerful message!
If you believe they did not dub in their music (even if no instruments) then you are super gullible....it is a video...great talent...great singers....anyone got a live version of this?
@@nothing1624 No one said anything about not dubbing? Don't know where that came from. He uses a loop station live now, so basically the same as dubbing a vid. Still all them though.
Home Free is an a capella group. Yes, he makes all those sounds with his mouth. An a capella group can not have any instrumental accompaniment. They make all sounds with their mouths. They're extremely talented at doing that.
Home Free is incredible. Everything they do is great. And although they are a Country A-cappela group, they can really sing all genres. They really all have great voices with their own specialties. Even Adam Rupp who started the group with his brother Chris Rupp. Chris left the group in 2016 to go solo but also to start other projects with his sister, among others. Adam Rupp-Beatboxer but is actually an inhuman freaking good mouth artist. The best beatboxer there is. Tim Foust- Deep bass but also as a tenor and everything in between is possible. Austin Brown-High tenor with his great runs and high notes. Rob Lundquist (beard and glasses)-Tenor, with a voice like velvet and so much soul. Adam Chance (back left, who is called Chance) - Baritone/ Bass, a voice so smooth and sexy. And who here also makes the Jaw harp sound. There is no lead singer in Home Free. They look at every song whose voice suits it best, the best harmony, no egos, no rivalries, great personalities etc. Besides, they can all beatbox (see their live performance 9to5). .. This is one of the many covers they do in addition to various originals, and each one is just amazing. Take the time to discover Home Free because it will be a great tour. For me they are number 1 A-Cappella group I'm a Home Fry from the Netherlands.
@@GoddessNyx911 I know. And although I listened to Pentatonix first, it was mainly for Avi Kaplan. Since Avi left, I rarely listen to PTX anymore. I'm not saying they're bad because they certainly aren't, but it's just once after 2 songs of PTX I've had it. Just a little too much for me. Although there are certainly songs from PTX that I still listen to and have in my playlist. But I can really listen to Home Free every day and every hour in a row and everything comes to me much more. I need to not only listen to music but also feel it.
Greg this song is from the movie O Brother, Where Art Thou?. If you haven't seen it you should watch it, it's hilarious. Home Free is the best acappella group of today I've ever heard. Just go check out their page, it's phenomenal 💯💯💯💯💯
Yes his(Tim Foust) voice is deep but he goes much deeper and has been know to blow out subwoofers in concert. He also goes much much higher. He has a 5 octave range.
The bass is Tim Foust. He can reach five octaves with his voice. Yup. Five. That’s insane. If you watch them perform Ring of Fire where Avi Kaplan joins them (from Pentatonix), you will hear Tim hit G1 on his final note of the song. I can’t fathom how that’s humanly possible.
I SAW THEM LIVE. Tim hit the low note to end RING OF FIRE, and I honestly could NOT hear it but I couldn't BREATHE for it vibrating thru my lungs. Rupp, the beatbox, did a nearly 9 minute solo that I honestly know drummers that would sob for. There's no overlay, no instruments. There's Tim lol. He has a tendency to blow sound systems. Look it up; he can cover 5 octaves before using a falsetto
Another Home Fry here....These guys are the best of the best. They have no instruments at all. Their beat boxer (Adam Rupp) is world class and it would be great if you could react to his "Drum solo" the one where he is wearing a red checkered shirt. Tim, the bass singer has a 5 octave range and can sing lower than central earth and as high as the clouds. If you want to hear him singing real low, check out their cover of "Brothers in arms" They have over 150 sangs available and you cannot really go wrong with any of them. They can do any genre from R&B to pop to country and anything in between. They are a patriotic group and have done many patriotic songs. They are also humble appreciative guys who try to give back whenever they can. They have also collaborated with others... American Pie with Don MCclean, Children go where I send thee with The late Kenny Rodgers, and Elvira with the Oakridge Boys. I hope to see you react to many more of their songs. It was a pleasure watching your shocked and surprised reaction to this song :-)
Home Free is amazing, 100% acapella, 100% wonderful! - You should really listen to their covers of “End of the Road,” “Brothers in Arms,” “Mayday,” “One Man Band” “Butts Remix,” “Hillbilly Bone,” and “Elvira” for some real fun! Thanks for the reaction video, as a Home Fry myself I am always glad to see someone finding them for the first time!
The beauty of this group is they can all sing like crazy AND they can all beat box. Adam Rupp is the main beatboxer/Nomonica (that's a harmonica sound with no harmonica) player. They are crazy talented.
100% vocal! That man's voice is that low, in fact that is close to being about the middle of his 5-octave range! They do all kinds of music, and they take turns with the lead vocals. People usually check out their cover of BoysIIMen "End of the Road" as their second reaction, but there really isn't a bad choice with this group. To hear more of that deep bass, check out their cover of the Dire Straights song "Brothers in Arms". Great job and welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole! Enjoy!
Hi Tammy, your post is spot-on. The man with that DEEP voice is a Basso Profondo en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basso_profondo#:~:text=Basso%20profondo%20(Italian%3A%20%22deep,note%20produced%20by%20a%20human%22.
OMG, I thought I just recognized a name or two from a video I saw a few months ago. The band was a few years younger then, so I didn't recognize their faces. It was "On Holy Night" recorded in a cathedral. It made me weep. These guys have such a great harmonious sound. So much talent! I just love them.
Apparently no would clued you into what you were about to hear. You didn't know this was going to be an acapella group? I wish I could start over to discover them again...it's SUCH a great journey. They dish out different genres. some are serious, some are funny...all will blow you away.
I'm always happy to hear the reactions of people who have never heard Home Free. I felt the same way a year and a half ago. I listened to the song a few times until I was sure - there is no harmonica :-) LOL Home Free - that's five unique talents, all guaranteed without instruments. If you want to hear more of the fantastic harmonica sound, I recommend Ain't Going Down (Til the Sun Comes up). The video is unfortunately only available on Facebook, but it's just awesome. Brothers In Arms, Sea Shanty Medley or In The Blood are other masterpieces from Home Free. Great reaction!
Welcome to the Home Free Rabbit hole sir lol all of their songs are all vocal and acapella and they have soooo much content. so glad you've joined us and remember keep all hands and feet inside on the ride cause it will get crazy and they will blow your mind 🤯 and if you think they're good on here then wait til you see them live in concert like I did last year, and it's all talent. All of them lead in songs and they could probably all have very successful solo careers if they wanted too but luckily for us they're still together and we get to enjoy it.
This song's first recorded publication (sheet music) was in 1913, and it was recognized as an old folk song even then. And these guys slayed it ! And the bass didn't get all that near his lowest - he has quite a voice! Try listening to 'Brothers in Arms', 'End of the Road' and 'Butts Remix' for a little taste of their musical range and talent.
I am so glad you are getting in to Home Free. I got to see them live back in 2019 and it was amazing. In my opinion they are the best Acapella group out there. They are so talented. Please do more Home Free. Oh and the one singing bass is Tim, and yes he can get even lower than that lol.
You are just beginning the "Discovery" of an Acapella experience; actually, you could listen to an almost perfect in harmony that was the "Coming out" band to this style - and the routines are amazing & exhausting to just the listener. Can't imagine the exhausting singing of this art-form coming back into existence. Please, take what I've already offered and sit back! (if you can). I lived the discovery life many years ago with "Pentatonics" and I cried that it was being shared LIVE! What a gift to hear. Had these types of what we called "Breakout of BlueGrass" !(originating in Scotland, some of Ireland - but it was coming back to us LIVE) We didn't have a TV. We lived live performances. My father, brother, cousins, singing levels that just didn't exist anywhere except at church, funeral, celebrations all the way into Canada. But, we were farmers and ALL of the neighbors finally gave up & sang the "clouds out of heaven". Everyone picked up their pickin' music stored only in their memories. It has been an AMAZING comeback & is here to stay". You really haven't seen anything yet -- Not YET! "Pentatonics" led tons of people astray into REAL LIVE SINGING - didn't always have an instrument --- Thus whatever they could grab to make a percussive sound, base fiddle in a gin-running bathtub. This was my life growing up and it has spread. Today, we still go back and feel the goosebumps. You know what they feel like, now. Go feed on REAL music of the ages in the "Apalachians" - moving swiftly to Country Music, but HOLD ON!! "HEE-HAW" originally began with "Roy Clark", picking & a grinning, Grampa Jones(I think the name is right) & his friends tucked away in a place never to see travelers, they practiced with one on one side of the road & answered by the man on his porch on the other side! Any reference to any band in the genre --- go research and kick it out. You just might be ahead of the party running in that direction. You cannot imagine the comfort when my brother's 20-yr old son was killed - and the entire Blue Grass gathering event (2 solid days) was dedicated to my Brother & family! That was LOVE - and can't be forgotten. It was pure honor --- and my brother & their band hosted it all! Fantastic, lotz of healing happened as they all gathered --- My fiance had also just died suddenly @ age 54! They requested I attend as I did every year. I'd turned it down, but they said it was also out of respect for my brother's band & the singing was infectious. I went, knowing I was the only one who knew what was about to happen. It's the healing, and strangers from 4 different surrounding states were coming over to sit by me to pay respect. THAT IS COUNTRY BLUEGRASS MUSIC. It allows your soul to heal in its sound & the giving is huge to everyone. You'll come to learn these things... I'm just glad you've begun to ARRIVE! God Bless your arrival - you are about to own an experience indescribable to anyone other than a BlueGrass Band. We never stopped partying the night away during the 3-day event. 1000s arrived at our camping site -- had the best performances off that stage. Picking & grinning is a REAL TRUE Statement. They forgot to mention TEARS. Come aboard and live the experience -- you'll run out of words -- but they all are recorded and flying off the shelves. I'll shut up, now!! Don't miss out!
Welcome to Home Free! This is a DEEP rabbit hole. They have dozens and dozens of songs like this. There is no one like Home Free. The fans are called Home Fries, and we love our guys and follow Utubers who react to them. You’ll probably get a lot of new subscribers to see you watch Home Free… I’ll be one of them and subscribe today🐝🤗❤️
Never heard of these guys, but I used to be a student of history, and this style came from the real blues. The music that was born from being completely broken, suppressed, and always keeping their eye on future glory. It’s simply beautiful, and wholly American.
They use a live looper for this song so Adam can lay down a beatboxing portion which allows him to then do the harmonica part at the same time. The mouth harp part at the beginning and throughout is also recorded using the live looper because it’s hard on Chances vocal chords and he can’t do it continuously. It also allows him to sing another part.
Your appreciation for the more subtle sounds and harmonies make your review a greater honesty. Great work Greg, proud to hear you. I'm here now and look forward to many, many more of your interpretations. PURSUE THE SOUND AND THE STORY.
Not a listener of country/ bluegrass music but when I heard this on THE VOICE .I wondered why I hadn't heard it before...I do catch bits and pieces even though I usually don't search for it..many friends have cw on their car radios...and it isn't going to kill me to listen...it became one of my favorite performances ever on the voice......this is excellent..now to find it without interuption.
Do they have any more songs like this? Yeah, about 175 or so... :) Everyone's recommending things to you, and they're all right. The big problem you're going to have is picking which ones to listen to first. But you can't really go wrong, these guys haven't done a bad song, ever, so far as I can tell. I'll just add this--if you're at all religious, listen to their version of "How Great Thou Art".
I just subbed for more Home Free content....you have been introduced to the best a cappella group period. Yes everything is done with their vocals. The talent these guys have is unmatched imo. They do lean country but they can do anything and you will find that out if you go down this rabbit hole. May I suggest their Boyz 2 Men cover of "End of the Road" next, just so you can see how versatile this group is. Looking forward to more Home Free!!!
I really appreciate your shirt. " Kind people are my kind of people. " mine too. Treating our fellow man with kindness is a mandate from God, but the joy we receive from said acts are a rejuvenation of the soul.
End of the Road, for sure 😊 If you’re into gospel, and even if you’re not, How Great Thou Art is inspiring. I’m not into gospel at all, and that song is sheer perfection.
Man this song goes back to 1913 they are true professionals and true a capella since 2000 you have just been introduced to the masters of harmonies. Great reaction man.
This song pre-dates 1913 by a lot. It was published in 1913 by Dick Burnett but he did not compose it. He only put it to paper. Prior to that it was learned by ear and shared among musicians mostly rurally. It is an old American Folk Song that originated in Kentucky, it is believed. The original composer/s is unknown & because it was shared without being written there are many variations that developed.
They have a lot of songs. They are an accapella group. They make all the music and singing from their own voices. No other sounds or instriments. just their voices. A favorite group of mine.
There isn't a song in their arsenal that isn't absolutely outstanding. Seriously, go to their UA-cam channel and pick any song and you will be blown away. That said, the song I like to recommend to people new to Home Free is "Workin' for a Living". You get to hear all their voices, Adam does an amazing no-monica solo, the video (an homage to Anchorman) is a blast, and it has all their names at the start of the song.
Hell yeah, these boys can sing! They are one of the 3 premier a cappella groups out today (along with VoicePlay and Pentatonix). And yes, Tim has that voice - he is known to blow speakers. Just a few suggestions: "End of the Road," "Try Everything," "Brothers in Arms," and "Butts Remix." And then we'll suggest many, many, many more 🙂
Adam Rupp is the beatboxer/tenor (rarely sings, but sweet voice when he does) and is a master at imitating a whole band worth of instruments. On top of that, every member of the band can do some beatboxing as well.
Welcome to the best acapella group out there imo. They are the 2013 winners of The Sing Off and are really a nice group of guys. The music and the fans come 1st and 2nd to these guys. If you decide to go down this rabbit hole i would love to sub and go along for the ride. I will be watching to see if you do more. Home fry for life!
Wonderful cover of this old song. The presentation of is is spot on from a cultural perspective. The voices and arrangement could not be better. Love it.
Tim can sing deeper, he has been known to blow speakers, he can also sing tenor. Massive vocal range. The beat boxer Adam started this group 22 years ago with his brother
This comes from key note harmony from the Old Southern Churches. Families used to sing like this. My family The Kilgore Family Signers sang at Revivals all over the South from the 1950’s to the early 1990’s when the Great Uncles and Aunts died. I learned how to play an old pump organ my Great Grandmothers home so I could accompany and sign them. I am now 65 and these songs take me back to those happy times.
Loved the reaction! Yes, Home Free is amazing! Their covers are spectacular as are their originals. Country isn't their only genre. I won't begin to list their songs to listen to since so many others have listed them for me. I will ask at some point you check out "Helplessly Hoping" a Crosby, Stills and Nash cover and "Brothers in Arms" a Dire Straits cover. They'll blow you away. Thanks for the joy am subbing, glad to have found your channel.
You were so surprised which makes it SO much more fun to see. It must be hard to be a reactor, and a new artist or group renders you speechless !! Enjoyed watching you on this one. Thank you. 😀

Having said all of that,
I LOVE THESE GUYS!!!!!!!
💜👍💜👏💜🤩💜😉💜
I heard somewhere that Tim I’d working on expanding his range!
@@vickiestill7382 I just heard of them about 3 weeks ago too. This song is far and away the best imo
They make all words, musical instruments and effects verbally only. Accupella! Aren't they great?
Welcome to the world of A Cappella magic! Home Free is the BEST!
Don't forget voice play, they have geoff
@@klssn34 Geoff has admitted he is not a bass singer but baritone who discovered subharmonics to go lower. But he struggles getting the low notes. Whereas Tim is a true basso profundo who hits the lows naturally & with no effort. He does it live all the time. Sorry but Geoff is not in the same league as Tim or Avi.
@@dagmar.6954 he might say he's a baritone, but he isn't. his normal speaking voice would nearly be out of that range. i would like to see geoff, tim and avi compared to tim storms though (it wouldn't be close but its not a comparison i've seen much of)
@@trufflesnuffle3108 I have listened to Tim Storms & am not a fan. Yes he can go super low but do not find it sounds pleasant to the ears at all.
Song is much much older than "Brother Where Art Thou."
I'm addicted too.
ditto!! ;)
No 12 step program. Good one! 😂
I enjoy listening to you stutter trying to describe your reaction to Home Free
Admit it they are fantastic.
GOD gave them the gifts. They honor GOD by putting their gift to good use, especially together. WOW!
Same here great stuff
Home Free is free of every instrument, except their beautiful voices! I'm crazy about them!! ❤️
These guys are unbelievably talented. Believe it or not,, there was not one single instrument played in the song. All of the music was done by their mouth. The first time I heard it I was dumbfounded and it still blows my mind to this day.
Thanks for choosing these guys. Wow. Love the song, love the harmony. Love your site. They do all the sound themselves--no instruments.
From Jesus’s Sermon on the Mount
Matthew 5
3Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.
4Blessed are those who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
5Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the Earth.
6Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be satisfied.
7Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
8Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God.
Just goes to show good music never really die.
Love that deep voice and the whole group is awesome
Oh man, you have opened the best rabbit hole you'll find! Where do I begin to start your Home Free journey? "End of the Road," a Boys 2 Men cover, "When A Man Loves A Woman," "Butts Remix," (really fun!), "Thinking Out Loud/Let's Get It On," (Ed Sheran/Marvin Gaye mashup), and "Ring of Fire," feat. Avi Kaplan formerly of Pentatonix will be a good start for you! Enjoy the ride!
Tim is doing sone amazing solo work!
A beat-boxin' harmonica!... That's a first time see for me. All talent in this band.
No no Voiceplay is best :P
If your doing home free I'll be here to listen, love the way there songs feel good to my heart.
@@cmdrglass5096 nope sorry but Home free is the best. in my opinion. LOL
Pentatonix is the GOAT. Home free second
Have to agree with the recomendations... these are two great non-country songs, but the "Butts remix" does have a couple of country songs mixed into it as well. And yes, it is all about the Ba-Donk-a-Donk!
I have seen them live there’s no band what so ever great voices great guys
Yes Everybody Walkin' This Land does have a great message as well as at the end, Tims short speech
Really?! There is totally an preccusive accompaniment
@@magusmelanie828 an? weeeeee.
For me they are number 1 A-Cappella group
I'm a Home Fry from the Netherlands.
They are kinda like the group Pentatonics but a whole different level!! 🥰
Home Free is by FAR my favorite a Capella group. Nice to know they are appreciated by others with taste too, Good Man.
Greg this song is from the movie O Brother, Where Art Thou?. If you haven't seen it you should watch it, it's hilarious. Home Free is the best acappella group of today I've ever heard. Just go check out their page, it's phenomenal 💯💯💯💯💯
The song is decades older than the movie. It is a very old timey song
@@justthinkingoutloudwtracie1482 I know it's a very old song, I just ment it was in the movie.
LOVE the movie.
Alot of good ole', southern-style music in it.
Never tire of watching it.
@@MrsMarks Me too I have it downloaded to my phone
@@heathertinker7376 Much respect, to a die-hard fan..
Home Free is awesome, every song they do is amazing
Yes his(Tim Foust) voice is deep but he goes much deeper and has been know to blow out subwoofers in concert. He also goes much much higher. He has a 5 octave range.
Ring of Fire with him and Avi. It never disappoints.
I believe Tim can do an F# on the low end. They are very good at anything they do. Believe that!
He gives me all kinds of feelings.
I saw them live. It was great. The deep voice guy literally vibrated the whole auditorium.
Just saw them live this month, my whole chest was vibrating! Holy smokes!!!
Review this video it is amazing
I SAW THEM LIVE. Tim hit the low note to end RING OF FIRE, and I honestly could NOT hear it but I couldn't BREATHE for it vibrating thru my lungs.
Rupp, the beatbox, did a nearly 9 minute solo that I honestly know drummers that would sob for.
There's no overlay, no instruments.
There's Tim lol. He has a tendency to blow sound systems. Look it up; he can cover 5 octaves before using a falsetto
How Great Thou Art is beautiful. They have lots of songs. Make all the sounds, instruments, themselves. They are amazing!!!
They are an amazing group. I saw them live last week for the second time and loved every minute of it
Home Free is amazing, 100% acapella, 100% wonderful!
Like a lot of musical styles. Fell in love with these guys first time hearing them sing. STOP IN AND ENJOY THE TALENTS
You are right - no instruments except for their voices......love the hand harmonica - amazing.
The beauty of this group is they can all sing like crazy AND they can all beat box. Adam Rupp is the main beatboxer/Nomonica (that's a harmonica sound with no harmonica) player. They are crazy talented.
All!!
This music hits your soul. You feel it down deep. They are extremely talented.
Enjoy!

"Brothers in Arms" cover is a MUST.
Amazing
I love that one. Can listen to it all year long
Apparently no would clued you into what you were about to hear. You didn't know this was going to be an acapella group? I wish I could start over to discover them again...it's SUCH a great journey. They dish out different genres. some are serious, some are funny...all will blow you away.
I just saw the one where they're doing old Irish drinking songs - in pirate gear. It was great - and funny!
Talent flows from all colors, shapes and corners of our world. Respect...........
You just found the best group out there. Talent level is off the chart. They never miss on any song. End of the road is a killer
Home Free are a brilliant Acapella group and Tim Foust's voice really is that deep! They are a wonderful combination of sounds.
I love your reaction , because I was also surprised by the PURE TALENT OF ALL FIVE OF THEM ……
They are a TOTALLY instrument-free “band”. It’s called ‘A Capella’. Only what they produce with their voices/mouths. ❤️
Yes he’s best boxing World Champion Twice! There are no musical instruments used except his voice!
But it was not as good as this version.
Oh Brother Where Art Thou all day! Love this song
I am so glad you are getting in to Home Free. I got to see them live back in 2019 and it was amazing. In my opinion they are the best Acapella group out there. They are so talented. Please do more Home Free. Oh and the one singing bass is Tim, and yes he can get even lower than that lol.
First reaction of yours!! No instruments dude!! Keep reacting to more Home Free!!! You won't be disappointed!!
Yes these guys are great best harmonies and beatboxer IMO try CANT STOP THIS FEELING. LOVE TRAIN. OR FOLSOM PRISON BLUES enjoy this rabbit hole
Had these types of what we called "Breakout of BlueGrass" !(originating in Scotland, some of Ireland - but it was coming back to us LIVE)
We didn't have a TV. We lived live performances. My father, brother, cousins, singing levels that just didn't exist anywhere except at church, funeral, celebrations all the way into Canada. But, we were farmers and ALL of the neighbors finally gave up & sang the
"clouds out of heaven".
I'm a die hard Home Fry and love all their videos and songs. Don't miss the Butt Medley Remix to witness their sense of humor and great talent!
THANK 👍 YOU FOR THIS VIDEO.
What to say when some People do not appreciate. ????? IT DOES NO MATTER..
WE LIKE THE WAY THEY SING.
Welcome to Home Free! This is a DEEP rabbit hole. They have dozens and dozens of songs like this. There is no one like Home Free. Amazing how every sound is from them. Their voices. All acoplla. No instruments at all. He is beat boxing all the sounds are coming from them
Give Home Free's "End of the Road" a listen. You will then be on your way down this amazing rabbit hole...
Indeed that IS his voice. There's a video in here somewhere examining his voice range. Amazing!
Never heard of these guys, but I used to be a student of history, and this style came from the real blues. The music that was born from being completely broken, suppressed, and always keeping their eye on future glory.
It’s simply beautiful, and wholly American.
React to 'is it inthe blood' Greg. You'll like that one. I guarantee.
Paul. Check out their catalog. They won “NBC’s The Sing-Off” (for acapella groups) the year after Pentatonix won!
Watching from England 🇬🇧. Never heard of these guys before now! Absolutely amazing loving them. Looking for CD now. 😀
👏👏💙
They use a live looper for this song so Adam can lay down a beatboxing portion which allows him to then do the harmonica part at the same time. The mouth harp part at the beginning and throughout is also recorded using the live looper because it’s hard on Chances vocal chords and he can’t do it continuously. It also allows him to sing another part.
I have never heard this song, or of this band. Thanks for putting this on, and for your reaction. That was a very cool song.
I'll just add this--if you're at all religious, listen to their version of "How Great Thou Art".
it is phenomenally done. Their harmonies (as always) are impecable and will give you goosebumps. An intensely beautiful and powerful song!!
I've just got to say here that I am a complete non-believer, and "How Great Thou Art" is STILL amazingly beautiful, even to me.
I really enjoyed watching your reaction to Home Free! And you are 100% correct.
They have many more songs which they have covered. They aren't just good; they are great at what they do.
I just found these guys too. Now I binge watch/listen to them all the time. Amazing entertainers.🤩 Be sure and watch their other videos.
I have been a fan for years! They have several awesome Christmas albums
Home Free's beatboxers are just phenomenal. Listening to this song you almost wouldn't know it was a cappella.
That made my day listening to this , it really picked me up , my heart goes out to the singers and I gave you a big like Gregory!
I LOVE their version!! Play it over and over, all the time!!!
They're completely a capella. No instruments. No harmonica. Just beat boxing & other amazing mastery.
Hello from Daytona Beach, Florida ⛱️🏖️!! Hope all is well with you Greg. Loved your reaction. Home Free is a very talented group. Be safe ☺️
They have a lot of songs. They are an accapella group. They make all the music and singing from their own voices. No other sounds or instriments. just their voices. A favorite group of mine.
Love home free. The sounds r from them. Reach right into ur heart.
My first time listening to this group.....their harmonizing is frickin awesome!!! Thank you, from a new sub!!
It ALWAYS blows my mind watching this. You can see them doing it with no instruments but its so damn good
This is my first time hearing this band and I was also blown away! I totally dig that fleur de lis background though! WHO DAT!
Hell yeah, these boys can sing! They are one of the 3 premier a cappella groups out today (along with VoicePlay and Pentatonix). And yes, Tim has that voice - he is known to blow speakers. Just a few suggestions: "End of the Road," "Try Everything," "Brothers in Arms," and "Butts Remix." And then we'll suggest many, many, many more 🙂
Love them! Met them in 2008/2009 they are amazing!.
Adam Rupp is the beatboxer/tenor (rarely sings, but sweet voice when he does) and is a master at imitating a whole band worth of instruments.
On top of that, every member of the band can do some beatboxing as well.
You're awesome man you have a wonderful open-minded all kinds of music and that's great I wish everybody was like you
Welcome to the best acapella group out there imo.
Love tha look on your face when they all jumped in . Same one I had!!! MuchLoveFromMemphis
Thank you. 😀
