The light mortar used to have a 24 inch range and now, in V3, it has a 36 inch range. It's one of those units that nobody took because it was underpowered.
That's true and I'm seeing a lot more on the field. However I am still not convinced; the 1" template is simply not that powerful, particularly when it takes a while to hit(or a lot of units to get that lucky 6), 2 man crew makes them vulnerable to return fire, the range increase is nice.
@williamkarl-gustafmoller8492 5 heavy autocannons is the same points my friend, double the number of crew members, twice the range, more shots. I know what I'm putting in lists 😁
Awesome video. I just went 2:1 at a tournament and won best minor nation with a Finnish list. No armor in my list either. All infantry and artillery. I do want to try to find a way to squeeze Kaukopartio into the list. They will wreak havoc on gun lines.
@@OnPointCraps oh heck yeah, the KKs will wreak havoc in mortar pits and arty positions for sure. My mate took a fully kitted 10 man squad to a tourny and got partisans first game (no outflank) and then the next two games no reserves then no outflanking were allowed in the mission, absolutely hilarious run of bad fortune!
@@TheKenthor cheers mate, I definately need to try a couple of field guns, although I like the maneuverability of the shreks in cars, it is a pricey combo! Light tanks with AC are definitely on my radar, I've just painted two pzii, I'm getting myself some vickers light tanks for the brits too.

In Bolt Action 3, by any chance do the Katyushas come in their 3 different "grades"? From Wikipedia: "... BM-13 launcher, light BM-8, and heavy BM-31."
You did the objectives wrong. Once you capture it its yours until the enemy recaptures it To capture an objective there must be no enemy unit within 3” and only infantry and artillery can capture there is no contesting objectives
@@Boltaction1944 Ah we did do "sticky" objectives but you're right, it doesn't matter if a vehicle ends the game next to it, we got mixed up with a tourny pack we attended a couple of weekends ago!

Your opponent with 8+ tanks and medium mortar teams is going to experience a headache.

I liked the light tanks. That's something I may try.
I also think an AT gun might be worthwhile for the Finns.

Was this set in 1939 or 1944? The panzerchecks are a late war weapon but T-60 were used more in the early war.
