@@russmorgan4180 thank you, glad you enjoyed it… we have just done a winter battle report, but left out the ice and snow rules for ease of play… but great suggestion for the near future 👍🏻
Thank you, they were both really keen to get a third edition game in, so I hosted the battle and gave Helena a helping hand with the basics 👍🏻 Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching.
Yea, Helena and Stewart are husband and wife and have helped with a couple of battle reports and with running the Band of Brothers board at the UK Games Expo in Birmingham and Salute in London. Lovely couple and very into wargaming. Thanks for the comment 😊
I've only just found your channel and I love what I see...takes me back to my childhood and playing with soldiers but with rules 🤣 Seriously, you do a great job of promoting wargaming with figures. I do have a question about game play/rules though. Is there a way of playing with FoW? From what I can see, both sides are not only aware of the others OOB, but they can also see them being placed on the map. It would be so much better if you could have completely hidden units until they are positively identified in some way? But that's a FoW issue for you guys to solve. I'm just an observer (of the non spotter kind 😂)
Thank you and I am glad you enjoyed the battle. Yes, there are rules for all sorts of different impact factors, hidden, snow, fog, nigh time fighting and so much more! Thanks again for your comment 👍🏻
Fairly new to V3. Love the ruins and figures. Some questions at @ 15: 08. Did you give the US infantry their additional shots for rifle fire? When the Hannomag was hit by the Hmg, should you not rolled to see if you got glancing hit, assuming it was less than 24" range? When the Hannomag was hit by the bazooka, should you not have rolled on the armour penetration chart, given that the Hannomag is not a "soft skin"?
Thanks glad you enjoyed it. Pretty sure we gave the US the extra shots , I have to cut a lot of the video out otherwise it would be about 5 hours long! Without rewatching I don’t recall if we got all of these correct, we tried, as an intro game for both of them to keep it simple, but sometimes we don’t get it all correct, videoing, teaching and trying to play all at once is VERY hard! Thanks 👍🏻 Having checked pretty sure we got these right… the HMG on the hanomag needed to equal armour 7 to glace.
@@theministryofminiatures I didn't intent to to appear to be critical - apologies. I'm still trying to get my head around the new rule set. Keep up the good work.
@@jdmcdonald4258no problem at all. I usually check when someone asks, but with 3 or 4 things to check I couldn’t. I do know we did allocate an extra shots for every 3 rifles… this is a very good rule for the US. Also, the HMG on the halftrack would need to hit, which Helena did, then with the +1 pen she still needed a 6 to glance as that would add up to 7 and equal to its armour value. Hope this helps?some of the roles are off camera just to try to keep the video length down, but we try to get most in. Thanks again for the comment, good luck with your new endeavours into Bolt Action, it is a great game 👍🏻
I put round table place mats and other flat bits to build up a slight incline… next weeks Bolt Action Boot Camp will show how to build great tables for battles and I will cover this in more detail 👍🏻
Not sure if it would have made a difference but the German Arty Observer should also have got the infiltrator cover save of +1 on top of the soft cover. Great video, as usual 😊
The ones I got have stopped selling them, however… I have found these that are very similar: www.charliefoxtrotmodels.com/products/one-man-25mm-skirmish-movement-tray-pack-of-5?_pos=5&_sid=909e02eee&_ss=r

Very good watch 😊 please can you do a game using the rules for snow and ice?

i think the all stars of the game was those two jeeps. what a pain in the ass they were.
Yes they were - they zipped up and down the road causing havoc!

1:21:11 Wouldnt the u.s. troops get a cover save, as half or more of the germans are not within 1" of the edge of the terrain. page 87 of rule book.
No, 5 are in cover, 6 are not so it is less than half in cover = no cover save…
@@theministryofminiatures oh ok, i didnt see some people
