Great conversation beautiful Ladies.. there is a side too maybe I can try to share. Coming from an emotionally challenged parents who were in an arranged marriage for 40+ years n 7 kids later. I ended up in a marriage very young. 19yrs n my husband 20 yrs. I wasn't close to even thinking about preparation but mostly wanted to fill a gap that my parents created. Now, 11years in this marriage n I can't think of a life without my husband. We have grown up together in a way. We are merged to a level that many may not understand. And yes, we are still learning more n more...biggest of all healing from our own childhood n shaping ourselves into one being. But hey even twins fight in the womb. So here we are .....not prepared but would not have it any other way.
I agree with Barbra on equipping children with value systems earlier. It doesnt mean they will marry someone who has the same but when shit hits the fan, they will leverage those tools they were equipped with when young.
I think marriage for everyone because there's a natural yarning at some point when one can't help but have a partener and offsprings. So marriage is for everyone.
I paused the video to write this up, maze nakyo ebanga now is the time, Beverly i love the way you bring out your words, articulately carefully, intentionally and strongly, indeed your a poet i love listening to you speack all day ❤😅
Ladies, you are smart in your looks and Spirits! As a woman who has just made 30 years in marriage, im proud of you! Baseline= Marriage is right! St. Paul said if you can't handle your urges or passion, then marry. Meaning, if you are able to control your passions not only in regard to sex but the single life in its entirety, including not having to be desperate to have children of your own, or a companion at some point, then stay single and serve the Lord without disruptions. Very few people can be celibate. Marriage is the way to go for the majority. "When I'm weak then I'm strong". Married people are strong only in God as Mrs. Mulondo said. Thank you all.
Everyone deserves partnership in various forms, marriage I believe is a titled partnership, so you can be partnered without necessarily been married ❤ Marriage gives a sense of purpose and direction dependent on who you marry because as much as it's a blessing it can equally be the worse thing you have ever experienced. You ladies look stunning❤
I think that marriage (much like motherhood) is a calling and when we say it’s not for everyone, it doesn’t mean that it’s bad. It just means it’s not everybody’s calling. There are so many unmarried women who are just as happy as those who are, and have found fulfillment and joy in other things…constantly finding themselves, loving on other people and their communities etc. There’s no one thing better than the other. And there’s a place for everyone and whatever each one of us has been called to do. The challenge is we have put the whole idea of marriage and especially for women on a pedestal and we teach girls from a young age to aspire to and fixate on this thing, that should it not happen for them, then there’s a problem with them -and that’s how they make mistakes and kutomera all in the name of getting in done and trying to do it right. I’d advise young women to keep their minds open about it…. That should it not be in the books for you, that too is fine. Life can still be beautiful. It’s the pressure that will strangle you. PS: You could find your one even at 50+. Just be open to the possibilities. The ultimate goal is happiness… and there are many ways to it ❤
Flowers for Beverly. Let's tell women to never settle for less.the men know you're worth they just hope you don't. I love podcasts that lift women up.dont tell me I have 2 1st be domesticated 2 get married if I don't want 2.
Thank you Bev, Manuel n Barb for this conversation. Kindly one day invite a guest who can share about the decision not to get married and one who can share about the decision not to remarry so that the conversation can be balance d. On the panel you are all married that is your experience. Invite someone who is not to share another perspective. I am emotionally exhausted by people who constantly bombard me with their advice n “prayers” why I should remarry. I pray people can allow people to be ok with their decisions. Pressure ekoya. Banange life is not a template. Personally I don’t tick boxes. I live my life and am enjoying it. I enjoyed my marriage and I love love marriage as God’s blessing. I am content and at peace. If someone out here is like me but yet face these societies pressures u are not alone🫂. Live your best life and don’t let people’s words get to you. Because marriage is truly a personal calling let those who want to get married and those who don’t let them be. And us who are not getting remarried plz let us be.
People should stop being so intrusive when it comes to personal decisions like marriage. I hear people dropping statements like "I PRAY u get another man and re-marry I am praying for you" bla bla bla . I just smile bse they don't know. Reasons vary but some people resolve not to re-marry and they are happy with their lives. Again I laugh at people who think that one cannot be happy when single and they call it 'self compassion" and all that. I personally chose to stay single bse i don't want to be divided between doing God's will and pleasing my husband. I want to be pure both in body and spirit and devote my life to the lord as I wait for the coming back of my lord and saviour Jesus Christ. 1 corithians 7:38 says "so the person who marries his fiancé does well, and a person who doesn't marry does even better.''
God's timing is the best in everything so it's best to pray and wait for God's time to get married. Marriage is sacred and has it's ups and downs so if you don't put God in it, the struggle is real
Wooow this is my best soo far, Ladies be blessed. Got married officially at 23yrs and neva pushed anything but things flowed in a mysterious way but one thing am so sure, God directed it to me because I insisted on praying and fasting be4 anything matured yet kuba bambi me I thought I wud be just in my crazy independent era😅 not marriage
Thank you women for reminding us to acknowledge our strongholds 🎉 not only focusing on weak points....There isn't a verse in the Bible that explicitly says one must get married/Marry..its all humanly... God takes care of them equally whether in youth or old age.. married or not married... priority is serve God's purpose in whatever status. Very engaging topic, i liked it
I agree with Beverly. Become the best version of yourself before marriage. Be happy being single first before marriage cos your partner is there to just do life with you but not to make you happy. And you will enjoy your marriage more when you know who you are. By this you know what to take in and what not to, you know what you can tolerate, you know when to pray for a situation and know when to walk away. Have boundaries also in marriage and this you can best do it when you know who you are so that you dont take in every crap that people have about marriages otherwise you can easily loose yourself in a marriage. Knowing who you are is the power to everything. When you know you, life becomes easy.
Bev thank you🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿i am 28 turning 29 and am seeing someone but i know this aint it so on the verge of a breakup and eish society expecting you to be settled by now is crazy but thanks for this....

Thanks, ladies, for sharing. Wow, I have been watching as usual. Every Friday, I patiently wait for a new episode. What a team, you guys! Has anyone noticed that Barb is a voice of positivity here? She always steers the conversations back to a positive standpoint. No crucifixion here. 😅 Anyway, thanks, ladies, for lifting the torch for all of us to see. Back to today's conversation. I got pregnant at 19 yrs, but I wasn't ready for marriage and I worked so hard to see that it ends soon.am now 32 years and I feel that am ready to someone who is ready but not every man available but the controlling, protective and kind man

😂 I can relate with Manuala you have to learn to swim, float and drown sometimes. But these streets aren’t easy with different characters and backgrounds.😅
I think the principles and values in every family vary depending on a family you have grown up in…People who grow up from a family with a single parent may not be like those who grow up under a roof of a wife and a husband..For example Manuela said her mother used to put the money on the table and they all know how it’s going to be spent. Maybe she did this so that the children understand that she is the only source of income and they should be mindful of any other expenses which will hardly happen in a family of two. In a family of two maybe a child will learn that a wife and husband can bring their incomes and plan together…..So in this case the children are learning different values So yeah I think marriage is a whole experience and it varies. Thank you beautiful ladies for sharing❤
Wow.Thax for sharing. But I have come to realise that there is nothing in this world as good as marriage as long as one gets their marriage and put it in the hands of God.
What i really like about this season’s line up is that it of belivers! And God’s acknowledgment in this conversation is phenomenal ☺️otherwise I think one is ready for marriage when theres been self discovery and a realisation of purpose regardless Marriage is Gods idea Trust Him with everything concerning it and it will be well with. Like one wise man has said; theres safety in the way of the Lord.
Oh God Manuella, that's what I'm battling with that. I'm in a rshp with a guy who never has anything to say 😔😭😂...even after pouring out my heart, chest, thought at a point of being disappointed by something. The guy will just smile and you end up looking like a fool😩😂😂 How do you handle such men that don't pour out their hearts, even when you feel they are annoyed at something?
Teach him..most of the men have grown up in the setting that vulnerability is for the weak so they have to suppress their emotions but you have to guide him, expose him to such platforms and encourage him to open up without judgement it's been 4 years with mine and he's just starting to open up, communicate effectively and I continue to encourage him for every tiny step
If ure not married leave such people. I have seen such men not saying a word to their partner yet get an ego boost from flirting. A man finds a wife. If he aint seeing that in you muleke. Often also introspect to see why you chase after emotionally unavailable men/friends. Sometimes its through our childhood wounds.
Oh how i relate with Manuella so much, from having a silent man who let you talk it all out and say nothing, to marriage having saved me. My marriage saved me
The conversation on "old age needs company"... and realities of life really differ! How about women who get married and then get widowed at 50 or 60....at the age u say one needs company the most? Marriage or lack of it is a very controversial topic that needs a comprehensive lens to analyse and discuss....Reasons I miss Pumla on the show....she would bring a totally different perspective in tune with life realities...
