i think theres an important part missing that i learned from my barber (hes giving me free sauce): its obvious that this guys beard isnt the same length all around but shorter towards the top. how you actually trim it is using a smaller length like 6mm and then go WITH the growth direction . dont go along the shape of your face but straight down. this will give you the shape this dudes beard has. (it wont be 6mm but 12mm in this example, cuz if u go with the way ur hair grows its like multiplying the size u used by 2)

@@Zachsmokesdoinks yeah, I get it. If a person wants a nice heavy stubble or if they want the beard all the same length, going against the grain is perfect for that. Me personally, I trim with the grain. Sideburns 2 then 1 for a nice blend, sides I use a 6 or 5 then goatee is around 10 or 9.

Yeah i did it like this guy and it cut it super short as opposed to with the growth direction
