All i can think is how impressive it was that kratos did this with a leviathan axe
Underappreciated comment 😅
LOL he’s dadgum Kratos, he didn’t use his axe he used his fingernails to shape it once and then told it to not piss him off so it stayed.
Or blades of chaos😂
😅😅😅😅😅
Facts
The illusion of this shape is that after it’s cut to look that way, it looks longer than when you started
right? It actually the purpose of that beard shape. it elongates the face shape
GREAT, I just need a beard
It's great having an 'in shop video' and a 'DIY video' for those brave enough to attempt the self trim!
Lol thanks buddy… but I got you covered
Brave enough to attempt the self trim? Is there anything more normal than trimming your beard?
@@filipesousa9990 not for us guys who take Pride in our Beard and are afraid to fuck it up
I’m trying to grow the Kratos beard and I’m definitely scared to trim it myself. I always end up shaving too much off. I’m 100% going to a barber and showing them the video
@@UkrainianHunk do it cause i tried and f my beard up 😅
Mental health is so important these days. Good to know that there are so many kind people around. Take care and keep going! Greetings from Tirol/Austria
You've got such great content Matty! Keep 'em coming. -Eric
Thanks Eric! The feeling is mutual!
Holy shit, my two favorite beard channels on UA-cam
I’ve been hairstyling since 1994, but barbering is a whole other craft!
You’ve got some mad talent and a great teaching flow.
Now I can trim my Hubb’s handsome beard, thanks a bunch!
Thank you very, very much for those DIY videos.
They are really teaching me to keep my beard as I like, particularly this one.
Worth mentioning, the "mind blown moment" on the other video and this one where you lean the head back to produce a straight line on the lower part...
I still feel dumb for not knowing this earlier, and thankful for being taught on your videos!
Keep up the awesome work!
Gotta love those lightbulb moment!!!
I love Kratos and God of War but the anatomy was my favorite part of the video.
It helped tremendously in debating what I'd like to do with my yeard later, my original goal was the Kratos/Ducktail but I am starting to think round/The Boss style.
This made me realize I need to research more on full beard styles and beard anatomy. Luckily, I'm only on my 3rd month of the yeard and have plenty of time.
Thanks Matty! Incredible video, you slayed the Kratos again.
Thanks brother! I’m glad you found it helpful. I’ll try to find a model for a few other options.
@@mattyconradgrooming You're welcome! The info graphic was very useful. Very cool guide. I personally would be interested in more nerdy/scientific videos!
Watching Matty makes me feel absolutely chilled (his movies have great vibe, how cool is that!)
Thanks for helping a grown adult learn how to improve his beard game. Family has commented how much better it looks.
That’s awesome! I’m really glad to hear that I could help
Now i'm here thinking about: 1. Kratos spending hours to groom his beard so it looks nice and tidy and 2. The sheer skill he has in doing all that without the proper tools and products lol
Awesome video btw, will definitely try this out when mine grows a little longer
#godofbeards.
That intro and that letter was enough to make me subscribe. Love from a fellow Canadian
Just in time!! Can't wait to try this! Thank you Matty!!! 🖤
I have only had bad experiences with barbers 3 by 3 they took off almost 6 months worth of length off cuz they couldn't handle my beard.
So i stoped going to barbers for years.
Seeing your dedication to the craft it's giving me hope that there might be a local barber that can deal with my beard.
Great content.
Keep it coming.
Thanks for the encouragement! I appreciate it!
Likewise, been to 3 different barbers locally each time ive shown pictures and said very clearly not to touch the length outside of trimming strays, every time i lost months of growth.. So here i am, DIY time!
Thanks a lot for listening to your viewers. Great video as always. Greetings from the Netherlands
Great Job Matty! I'm learning alot! 43 and first time growing. Best channel out there!
No barber where i live, so these self style tips really help. Thanks heaps.
Thank you mate , just did it step by step and it's perfect
Great job, great look. Thanks for going through the anatomy too, gives me good reference names to give to my barber!
Well I now know what I'm doing this weekend! This is definitely one of the best diy step by step beard trim video I've ever seen, thank you
Thanks for the kind words! Best of luck
Thank you so much Matty! Great instructions, I got it on my first try.
Love your videos and the advice. Keep it coming, sir!
I just watched the ducktail vid. So glad you did this one! I need to be able to do this myself
I am watching these videos for my fiance since he is growing his beard for the first time after I told him how attractive he looks. Thanks for all the tips!
Matty's videos never disappoints. 🔥
I've learned a lot from your videos and over the past couple of months I feel very confident to shave my beard myself.
Thank you very much.
That’s awesome! Thanks for the solid feedback
Absolutely rad. Thank you for this perspective, Matty!
The square style already looked great on you, your sacrifice is not lost on us. Thank you.
I appreciated the nerd time, and I'm here for more! Great editing as always.
Thanks Grimlock! (please tell me that name is an 80’s transformers reference)
Thanks man! This is exactly what I was looking for.
You were such a big help during lockdown, Stay safe.
I am so glad I came across your UA-cam channel! After watching this video, I can’t believe how good my beard turned out . Also , The super dry beard paste is the best by far, just got it today . I Just wanted to say cheers and thank you 🙏 . Keep being awesome.
I literally started growing a beard 2 years ago with the goal of cutting it like this. Thank you!
Thanks for all your videos man. It's really helped me grow and maintain my beard.
I’m so happy to hear that!
Great video’s really helpful tips awesome work Matty ! You are inspiring
This is awesome. Definitely going to try and attempt this. Thank you sir.
Thanks Matty! I’ve been checking EVERY day for this video since you responded to my comment last week and said you were working on editing it! THANK YOU!
I told you it was coming!!
Hey Matty your videos are so helpful. Thank you for all the content. Can't wait to get a good set of clippers so I can shape my beard this way. Keep the great content rolling and thanks again
I’m working on that right now!
This is the first time in my life I have decided to grow my bear out for more than one month (November) I have discovered Beard Oil and Beard Butter, thank GOD!!! I've subbed thank you for the great content!
Great video! I was finally able to give this a try tonight and I think it turned out very nice. A few “oops” moments so ended up being a little shorter than I wanted, but now I can grow it out and continue the shape maintenance over time. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and skill with the rest of us!
Oooos moments happen… don’t get discouraged! It gets easier with practice!
Wow this beard looks amazing
Might have to try it. I used your trimming video on the squared up style to maintain mine.
Great video, subscribed. Thank you!
Great video, and thank you for showing us the DIY version! I've been growing my beard out about 7 months now and might try an experimental shorter ducktail.
Thanks for watching!
My dude and fellow Canadian! I stumbled upon your channel just now and love this vid! Just this past year I've decided (with a lot of encouragement from my wife) to grow out my beard. But I've always gone to my hairdresser to let her trim it up. Mostly because I don't trust myself to do a good job. But with this instructional vid for one of my favorite types of style, methinks I'll try my hand at this and save me some cash! Thank you very much and I'll be sure to check out your other videos too.
I shall come back to this videos in a year or so when my beard is longer. Thank you for the great tutorial!
It's been 11 months, are you almost ready?
Late to the party my friend, I apologize for not somehow finding your channel sooner; I’ve been cutting my own hair since marrying my beautiful wife twelve years ago. However I haven’t quite had the patience to grow out my beard to the point where I could shape it and have fun with it. I love what you’ve done here, it kind of reinforces some ideals that I’ve come to know by clipping my head and made me confident that I can do my beard too after another month or two of growth. I use very similar products to fade and outline my own head and the use of the word “flyaway”, I knew immediately what you meant by that and I’d been hesitant to cut those until now. Thanks brother.
Love it! I never expected to smile trough whole video about beard trimming. That is simply amazing. 👌😂 U really nailed that „LACK OF INFORMATION” Thank for filling that void!
Awww man thank you for that feedback. I appreciate it.
MAN, I lOVE THESE DIY VIDEOS FROM YOU !!!!!
Matty, you did this beard cut perfect! Unfortunately some barber take way to much length off but you nailed it!!!!
Keep the awesome content coming brother
Thank you my guy 🙏🏻
Looks Great. After your last video I loved the beard so much I had my barber do mine like a Kratos beard for my father daughter dance. Thanks for this DIY video, it gives me some tips on how to keep the beard shape on my own. Thank you.
That’s awesome! Hope it helps you with the maintenance!
Amazing insights. You make it look easy with all your experience, so the advice about getting to the barber is the best. Thanks! You’re doing a brilliant job.
Thanks for watching!!
Amazing fun video to watch
Ahh, now I can deal with the tricky part! Many thanks.
Thanks a lot for the video Matty. I love the end result I got from following every step.
That is awesome! Thanks for watching!
Dejaré crecer y lo intentaré , a pesar de que la "baseline" es algo complicado con la mano izquierda para mi, pero haré lo posible. Gran video, gracias
Thanks Matty! Always helpful! Great vid
Thanks for watching!
Thank you sir !!
I watched 2 minutes and was time enough to subscribe to your channel. Great content dude!
Great video, I’ve been struggling with the horseshoe tache so great you covered that in detail and you got me in the feels at the beginning 👍🏻
Thanks for watching! Good luck with the horseshoe!
Great video as always Matt. Keep up the good content!
Thank you!!
Just found your channel, I have never been to a barber and pretty satisfied with my own work but always helpful to watch these kinda videos. Will definetly come back to your channel!
Awesome, thank you!
That looks so awesome bro! I love your videos!! Thanks for posting!!
Thanks for watching!
Thank very much man, after visiting your channel i started growing my beard at the age of 17 (now 18) it is a small beard but thank you very much you gave me the confidence to grow my beard keep doing the good work .
Welcome to your first beard!
Thanks awesome stuff
dude your tutorials are just GREAT
Thank you so much!!!
Fun to watch and informative and nicely done as always.. also I love your products..
Thanks Rich!! I appreciate that!
you've just earned yourself a sub!!! I am fairly new to a beard about 18 months and it costs a fortune at the barbers to get it looking fly. I have took the step of getting a beard trimmer with guard and taking it down but I don't think I could ever fade it or have the confidence to do it. Having said this your video has given me more confidence not to be afraid and go at it. Excellent video, thanks :)
Great to hear! I hope these videos help!
Great tutorial! Thank you! I'm doing my 3rd trim now on this style. I love it. And if you mess up a little, guess what? It grows back. Looking forward to checkin out your other videos. All the best.
Thanks for watching! Glad it helped! And yeah if you screw it up it’ll always grow back but the more you practice the better it gets.
I just followed this guide, using only combs and scissors because I had nothing else, and honestly, I'm blown away be the results. Thank you so much!
That’s awesome to hear! Thanks for watching!
Those are some great clippers!
Good on you Matty 🤙🏴
Great video been trimming my beard for years due to living in a small town and no real barbers here!
Dear Matty, thank you for a very satisfying video
Thanks for watching
Love it! And all your very helpful videos 😃🪒
Thank you! I appreciate it.
Well looks like I’m going to have to try this again in a few months.
as always, great video, Matt!
Thank so much 🙏🏻
This was really useful video again. Thanks especially commenting that trimming your own beard might or is more challenging than trimming someone others beard. Good stuff !
It’s absolutely true! It’s ok to struggle with it but practice definitely helps!
Yes! I was waiting for this one!
Hope you enjoyed it!
I'm new to beards and I'm trying to learn. I've always had jobs that require a clean shaven face. I retired at 46 and am now going to grow a beard. I've got about 2 months of growth and I'm looking to shape it for the first time. So far I've learned what not to do on the different angles to make my head look funny. I just ordered some tools and will be shaping next weekend. Thanks for the video assistance.
You really did it well Sir 👌🏻
Love these vids! Thank you
Thanks Stephen!
Love it!! This is beard type I want your a legend:-)
Thank you. I will try it in a few weeks
Good luck!
I can't eye it like that. Wish I could!
Hi Sir Thank you for the awsome content watching from South Africa, very insightful and helpful 👊🏻
Thanks for watching!
This has got to be the best beard trimming video I've seen on UA-cam!
Thank you!!!
Beard anatomy was totally rad thanks
Looking good bro, letting my beard grow and I want this style
I have a three mirror cabinet over my bathroom sink that really helps with beard trimmings❤
a truly magnificent beard sir congrats 🎉
Awesome. I might just try that!
You should!
So glad you're doing these videos. I actually found a good barber for my beard using your recommendations.
I've always been uncertain about hair products because I wasn't really sure how best to use them, so it's helpful to have these vids. Got my first tub of Super-Dry the other day now that I've seen how you use it. Really works great for my beard and my fine hair.
Please keep making these.
That’s great!!! I’ll do a video on hair products and what they are for.
Another outstanding video!! Catching up after our ALASKA and BC trip!!!!! YEA!! OMG I am sooooo upset that I didn’t try to connect and get a trim from the master on our way back from the arctic circle and Prudhoe Bay! I sure could have used a proper grooming after over a month in the deep arctic. Maaaaaan!! We were right near you too! Well, next time I suppose, and I should book now huh? 😂 Cheers as always and such an inspiration to all of us bearded men!
Thank you so much for this video. I"ve been struggling a lot with my beard lately, and this is the exact style I've wanted to do. (not necessarily because of Kratos, just that pointed look to the beard) but I had no idea what it was even called. Definitely looking forward to giving this a try!
Glad I could help!
Dude! You are an amazing barber. How could anyone justify leaving a negative comment on your channel. I use a lot of the techniques from your videos for my beard. Keep doing your thing.
Thanks for the encouragement! I appreciate it!
Thank you, just thank you!
It’s my pleasure. I hope it helps
I couldn't decide between ducktail and lumberjack. Thx for the tutorial!!
My pleasure! The lumberjack is usually more of a square bottom beard. They are both great for creating an elongated shape!
Fantastic job!
Thank you so much!
just done it few days back after watching the other video and it turned out well thanks for this video
That’s awesome! Glad I could help!!
Thank you very much! I am struggeling with my beard for a time, wanting a longer look but no barber succeed.
I stumbled upon your vid by the YT algorithm and has to say: Nice one YT!
Was very helpful and i am definatly coming back watching more of your - pretty and stylish - videos :D
Thanks for watching!
As a barber i can say that ive learned many things from you, great look, great technique, greetings from greece!!
Wow! Thanks for the encouragement! I appreciate it!
