I find that strangers make more eye contact with me when I have a short beard than with a long one. Much depends on how much you smile, though. Great beard trim and haircut from the barber.
Quick heads up to anyone from the US that is interested in purchasing the "Philips Series 5000" showcased in this video. The Wall Plug included with the charger is a Type C plug, you'll need to buy an outlet adapter if you don't already have a Type C outlet in your house/apartment. Wish I knew this before-hand, but I figured I'd comment this anyways.
Nice one, thanks for the tips. I've got good heavy stubble with even coverage naturally, I liek how yours is darker near the bottom and lighter under the cheeks. Trimming mine to create this look as I think it looks sharp and emphasises the jaw line.
We have a lot of the same thought and I've learned this over time just naturally... So strange. I came here to learn new tips... I am guilt of trimming along the jawline but underneath a little more so it's not noticeable unless someone is below me. Also I have a great tip! I have very oily and sensitive skin so the hair always sticks and gets ingrown. That is until I used a decent lint roller to remove all the hairs and dead skin. It's basically tape and you use a couple sheets. But that makes it so there's nothing on your face or stuck in poored when you wash. Keep up the great work man! I tried to show my girlfriend the video to say "see I'm not the only one" but she was busy lol. Pce man!
@@jsmith7888 Yes they do, there are varying levels of hormones that can cause beard growth or hormonal disorders. Also, those Indian girls can live in the west as well. Just cause you haven't seen them doesn't mean they don't exist.
Well I watched your video...it was great. Us men think we are always trimming and shaving the best.i took all your advice and I must admit it was so much better than I normally do. Cheers buddy
Thanks bro. Great video. For some reason most people making videos for the "short beard" are well into "medium beard" length. Appreciate the great tips
You basically have a beard design naturally and in my opinion this is a bonus lol. You even trimmed the lower part shorter and it still looks a bit longer (because it’s heavier) this is good imo because that means you don’t have to work too much swapping the trimmer heads and it can look good even with only one length all around.
Tips : If you somehow get a hair or a dust in your eye, guys, don't try to get it out with your finger because you are going to push it into your eye and it will be more difficult to get rid of it, simply at first try to blink your eye a couple of times and if that doesnt work rince it with some physiological serum or some water and blink. If all that doesnt work, get a Q-tip, put some physiological serum on it and gently try to grab it with the Q-tip.
Great tips. I use the Norelco MG7790 and have had good performance. I'll look at the Phillips when I'm ready for a new one. Looks like McThursti gives it a thumbs up too so it must be proper.
The neck acne might be ingrown hairs that need to come out, caused by not using a guard. I love everything else but I’d recommend sticking to a straight/safety razor for the neck, especially if you’re prone to persistent acne. Anyone asking about skincare should probably start with exfoliating for sure if using a beard trimmer
I’m so bored of my beard, it grows a bit higher and thicker on my cheeks, might go short like you so might like it a bit more! Also picking up that trimmer 👍🏼 been after a replacement for ages
I like this video. What are your thoughts on trimming under nose to give the mustache more shape (as opposed to letting it grow up into nostrils)? Thanks!

We trim very similar. I may have a little more on the upper cheek and I have more between the stache & beard, other than that, I do the same process, but a tad bit longer.

Don't shave for like 3 or4 months. Your beard grows slower in some places. Like mine, I have strong cheeks, jaw(they grow fast). My mustache and chin grows VERY VERY SLOW. So in 3months my mustache and chin looks like a few weeks to month of growth. Just let it grow, then see what you have to work with. Chin straps, stubble, these work good with beards that don't come in well. I say just commit to a beard. It will fill in better as it gets longer.
@@Jay-sd9ye what you say doesnt make sense,in fact the stronger the growth the better the stubble looks,I've had a big beard myself in the past but it lacks the charm of stubble, when having a beard you pretty much hide away your whole face and jawline, stubble is a popular style for a reason, its stylish and far more versatile
One thing that really annoys me is that my moustache always grows spiky outwards. And whenever I trim it, it trims unevenly, so that I end up with, again a spiky moustache, just shorter. And they cut unevenly, no matter what type of trimmer I use. Whenever I go to the barber, they manage to trim it perfectly evenly. I don’t understand how they do it.
