I'm pretty sure you didn't get it. Thats why you didn't say much. The hooked survived but the preacher saved her soul as he lay there dying and she went on the have a son who became a preacher due to her testimony. He then went on to save others. Beautiful song. Glad you are reacting to this type of music. Keep it up!!
The farmer, teacher, and preacher died ...hence 3 wooden crosses. There wasn't 4 because the hooker lived. As the preacher in the wreck was dying, he handed the hooker his blood-stained bible. She apparenrly turned her life around, had a son, and read to him from that bible. The son grew up to become a preacher, too. The son/preacher is the one who stood in church and told the story, holding up the blood-stained bible given to his mother (the hooker). ✝️📓 For some reason a lot of people seem confused by these lyrics. I just thought I'd clear it up for anybody who didn't want to ask. 😉
@@craigscarborough3696 he bailed out before the crash and ran cause his CDL’s was expired lol. I don’t know either. I guess he couldn’t squeeze the bus driver in the 3 minute song. Great question though
It’s a song about death. It’s a song about life. It’s a song about faith. It’s a song about redemption. This song sung by this specific singer creates a moment.
The very first time I heard this - it blew me away and every time I hear it now it still has a profound impact on me. When you realize the meaning of this song - it puts every thing else in perspective.
Love, this song, and your reaction as you absorb the song, You can just see it when the words finally hit you as to what happened. Randy Travis'es voice is just soo beautiful, "Diggin up Bones" and "Too Gone for Too long" Are my other favorites from him.
In addition to those songs - some of my other favorites are ; The Box , Oscar The Angel , Deeper Then The Holler and Blue Mesa. I could go on with a lot more but I will keep it to those few.
I loved when you couldn’t pay attention to the lyrics on your phone. And your expression when you realized the hooker was his Mama ♥️ Randy has some great songs that he wrote and sang or others sang. So happy you actually got to hear him. He had a stroke and is pretty silent now. But his voice lives on. 🥰
Some people are confused about the bus driver. But think about the shape of a bus, the driver is in the very front. Most people sit in the middle or back to get personal space. Also consider this subtle hint “The bus driver never saw the stop sign, and 18-wheelers can’t stop on a dime.” This hints two very important details. 1: it was a T-Bone accident, the driver would have had a better chance at surviving compared to the 4 passengers. 2: it hints the driver was alive to give a statement to first responders, and felt guilt for missing the stop sign. It’s a really powerful song with lots of detail if you listen for it
Listen to Blake Shelton - My baby My dad drove a truck for Randy for years when I was little. I’m 28 now and I listen to Randy every day. He’s an amazing singer and artist. Was very nice to me when I got to hang out back stage at his shows. I have a autograph guitar singed by him and the whole band. It’ll never leave my side.
The timbre of his rich baritone voice is unparalleled. My favorite Randy Travis songs are Reasons I Cheat; Promises; Take Another Swing At Me; This is Me; Look Heart, No Hands; Spirit of a Boy, Wisdom of a Man; That’s Where I Draw the Line; I Told You So; The Box; He Walked On Water; Three Wooden Crosses; Hard Rock Bottom of Your Heart; It’s Just a Matter of Time; On the Other Hand; and Forever and Ever Amen.
This song always brings tears to my eyes. It also has another meaning for me (minus the professions). When I was in high school, a brother and sister and 2 other friends were in a car wreck. 3 of them died. There are three white wooden crosses on the right side of the highway where it happened.
I get choked up when I hear this song, and I do cry a little, it's a beautiful song, and sad, and the fact that the preacher led his mom to the LORD, and she taught him about the LORD, and he became a preacher in time....I like that! Great song! 👍
What a honest reaction. In case you didn't realize it ; The Hooker who was given the blood stained bible by the original Preacher , that act let the Hooker change her life , then had a son who would go on to become a preacher as well. So it's the hooker who didn't need to have a Wooden Cross.
what is wrong with a man crying over such a spiritually rich song ... nothing wrong with shedding tears to show your humanity and heart , the ability to shed a tear to show you actually had a heart in your chest might have warmed the soul of some down trodden soul... too bad you chose to throw that moment away.
There are some songs that take on controversial subjects in such a special way, this is one of those songs. I think country music takes these subjects head on, differently than any other genre.
Great reactions! You should check out his music video for “I Told You So” because that’s one of his all time best songs. Apologies if you’ve already covered it, I’m new to your channel. If you love inspirational almost gospel type of songs, you should check out Joe Diffie “Tougher Than Nails”. I get emotional every time I hear it
If the goal is to hit you in the feels try "Alyssa lies" ( Jason micheal carroll) or maybe "concrete angels" ( Martina McBride) but if you listen to " Teddy bear" ( red sovine) ( that should get you to the sniffles) followed by another red sovine song called "Teddy bears last ride" ( the Diana Williams rendition of this is best I think) will hit you in the feels
Her life changed after the accident ... however it came about, she accepted the Lord and took the time to read the Bible to her son, who became the preacher. Hard for me to believe that some won't get this.
Just found your channel. And you mentioned your followers trying to get you to cry. Allow me to attempt this feat. In 1985 a group called Power Source released a tear jerker Dear Mr. Jesus. Theres a particular reason it will hit you in the feels. Please do a reaction to it
I just want to say, I'm pretty sure they probably turned off the comments on that video due to the amount of people who have negative things to say about the s*x worker surviving. I've seen plenty of hate put on this fictional woman in some reaction videos, including one couple who decided on first listen that the reason "Heaven only knows" why there's not 4 is that the 4th didn't go to Heaven and there's no cross for her because she slept with too many married men and their wives were angry at her for it. It's sad how so many miss the whole point of the song, so it's awesome to see (even though you didn't say it, it's plain to see on your face) people actually get the point and hear the message. There's some things you just can't fake.
would love to see your reaction to "five finger death punch"--(wrong side of heaven) its a great song! i love it and so do alot of my friends who are vets they all said it hit home hard
As I read the comments, it occured to me that we don't know the demise of the driver, but the Farmer, Teacher and Preacher did not survive the wreck, hence the 3 wooden crosses. Everyone missed the obvious question: Why was the Hooker spared? We are told at last that she was pregnant and her unborn son grew up to replace the Preacher in life. That was the last nail... Did you miss it too?
Ok, I love this song. I love randy Travis. I'm a country girl. But there's always been one little thing about this song that drives me nuts. 3 people died. 1 person (of the 4 passengers) lived. What happened to the 2 drivers? One bus driver and 1 18 wheeler driver. Someones math doesn't add up. Or, you know...They're just chopped liver I guess.
That dying preacher left behind the chance for that hooker to be saved and her soul was saved she lived on to have a son who became a preacher and told his mothers story as he held up that same Blood Stained Bible from that bus accident deep song
The wonderful thing about this song is that while its about death, its not about death. It's about hope and salvation.
Well said!
Yes the song has death in it - but that is too let you understand that death isn't to be afraid of and Live your life to it's fullest.
Amen!
I'm pretty sure you didn't get it. Thats why you didn't say much. I just discovered this song a year ago and literally just figured this out now.
Yes I’ve seen people be confused by the lyrics as well.
What about the bus driver I always wondered.
Explained perfectly...just like Randy's lyrics
@@craigscarborough3696 he bailed out before the crash and ran cause his CDL’s was expired lol. I don’t know either. I guess he couldn’t squeeze the bus driver in the 3 minute song. Great question though

Indeed. Very well said.
I know I have heard this song thousands of times. It still gets me misty eyed and gives me chills.
My "Allergies" act up every time I hear this song also......
Almost Home by Craig Morgan is another good one.
I agree! I would LOVE to see this one!
Yes!
So you want to make him cry? That’s one sad song there.
That’s a good one! Craig Morgan’s song The Father, My Son and The Holy Ghost is another great one!
Yessss!! One of my top 10 favorite ever!
One of my most favorite songs of all time.
Love your reactions bro 💯
The very first time I heard this - it blew me away and every time I hear it now it still has a profound impact on me. When you realize the meaning of this song - it puts every thing else in perspective.
Heard this song so MANY times and it's still emotional !!
Love, this song, and your reaction as you absorb the song, You can just see it when the words finally hit you as to what happened. Randy Travis'es voice is just soo beautiful, "Diggin up Bones" and "Too Gone for Too long" Are my other favorites from him.
I had to rewind it 3 times when it finally hit... made me tear up :)
"Hard Rock Bottom of Your Heart" is my favorite from Randy Travis.
In addition to those songs - some of my other favorites are ; The Box , Oscar The Angel , Deeper Then The Holler and Blue Mesa. I could go on with a lot more but I will keep it to those few.
You should look up a song called "alyssa lies" but john Michael Carroll it's a very powerful message and a very well written song
Yes! That is a very emotional song.
That song hits different
I loved when you couldn’t pay attention to the lyrics on your phone. And your expression when you realized the hooker was his Mama ♥️ Randy has some great songs that he wrote and sang or others sang. randy travis
forever and ever amen
deeper than the holler
diggin up bones

I Love the look of realization on your face when you figured out exactly who the survivor of the crash was.
Listen to Blake Shelton - My baby

Love Randy. It's a matter of time, Digging up Bones, Forever and Ever, Amen are some more great songs by him

This song gives me a chill every time I hear it. His last days were sad.

WOW!
It's a testimony to how his mother came to be saved .
I wasent born when country was at its best but I wish I was all the old country music I have listened to will forever be the best of all time
5:09 when the light bulb illuminates. "By golly, I think he's got it!"
Randy's voice is like salted caramel. Sweet, and very rich, with a little twang to it that makes it so good.
This song is a cover, but it’s still my favorite cover of Three Wooden Crosses.
I'm so glad you decided to react this song!
I like the way you don't edit out any mistakes or small errors. It makes your reaction videos that much more real.
Randy Travis - Walked On Water. It is his best song by far.
Listen to Holes in the Floor of Heaven
Just bc somebody is struggling and doing what they need to do to survive doesnt mean they're not beautiful people and deserve a miracle
Love this song. Love watching you react. That moment your facial expressions changes when it clicks! I found you on tiktok and saw you have youtube.
The Father, My Son, and The Holy Ghost by Craig Morgan is another fantastic song!
I've heard this song so many times but never understood it until now. I am in tears.
I have heard this song many times and I still cry a little.
Jimmy, when it hit you what Randy is singing, your face was priceless!
i loved your face whe he said about his momma lol
I get choked up when I hear this song, and I do cry a little, it's a beautiful song, and sad, and the fact that the preacher led his mom to the LORD, and she taught him about the LORD, and he became a preacher in time....I like that! Great song! 👍
This song always makes me cry. It’s such a beautiful story. 💜
I always choke up listening to this song, especially at the end! 😢
Comments are off because he got caught naked drunk driving while on a gospel tour. He didn't want the back lash. Still love the song.
What a honest reaction. In case you didn't realize it ; The Hooker who was given the blood stained bible by the original Preacher , that act let the Hooker change her life , then had a son who would go on to become a preacher as well. So it's the hooker who didn't need to have a Wooden Cross.
I must suggest Tom T Hall, also known as The Storyteller.
Old Dogs, Children And Watermelon Wine
The Year Clayton Delaney Died
Are both good.
Life is not about your duration but your donation.
A song that is very emotional that always gets to me is - 800 pound Jesus by Sawyer Brown.
what is wrong with a man crying over such a spiritually rich song ... nothing wrong with shedding tears to show your humanity and heart , the ability to shed a tear to show you actually had a heart in your chest might have warmed the soul of some down trodden soul... too bad you chose to throw that moment away.

You should listen to Kenny Rogers song called The Greatest. You really have to pay attention to the last verse.
this song is so deep country music is the best genre of music if you want to listen to a story
Love this! Thank you for sharing your reaction. 💞
another great song from that album is called "Jerusalem's Cry". it gives me chills every time i hear it, like this one.
One of my favorite songs from Randy and I know them all I think :) Much love!
Your honesty earned You a new sub.
Always been one of my favorites
Love this song! But seriously he doesn't have a bad song, check out...I Told you So
I love his face when the twist hit him HARD !
Jimmy that was great the look on your face said it all God Bless You !
This song is so beautiful and sad.
You should do Fire Away by Chris Stapleton. Both the song and the music video hit hard.
Her life changed after the accident ... however it came about, she accepted the Lord and took the time to read the Bible to her son, who became the preacher. Hard for me to believe that some won't get this.
I think he is also referencing calvary cross also and what Christ left behind him....great song
Oh this makes me cry every time I hear it

I love this song! It's about redemption.. Listen!!!
Dads old number by Cole swendell
I loved Your “aha” moment
Love this song and your reaction. ✝️✝️✝️🎵
Ok, I have the song that will bring the tears. Tim Mcgraw's "Don't take the girl".
Damn man, you got me crying dude
i listen to this song over and over it's one of my favorites but it's sad that the only ones who survived was the driver and the hooker
G'day This is a great story. Another one you will like is Beccy Cole Poster Girl, (Wrong side of the world)
Love your reaction.
Listen to Rascal Flatts song Skin.
The "Live at Calvary Assembly" performance of this is very good.
Turn Up The Music by Point Of Grace is a beautiful song. I suggest that one 1000000 percent.
I just want to say, I'm pretty sure they probably turned off the comments on that video due to the amount of people who have negative things to say about the s*x worker surviving.

This song is less about death and more about living life, touching others' lives, and what will your legacy be?
And the Bus Driver said “ummmmm I have kids too”
would love to see your reaction to "five finger death punch"--(wrong side of heaven) its a great song! i love it and so do alot of my friends who are vets they all said it hit home hard
holes in the floor of heaven by Steve Warner is another very deep song.

Drivers commonly survive these events.
It's a song not a book or movie !
The Preacher was also, the bus driver ( he died ) and, The one driving the 18 wheeler and, the Hooker on the bus lived!
I cry every time
Try "Believe" by Brooks & Done, the one with the video.
Watch the music video for "Concrete Angel" by Martina McBride. THAT will cause some tears. But it NEEDS to be the music video, not just the audio.
3 people died in the crash, 1 lived. It was his mother, who was the hooker and he grew up to be a preacher, her son.
You wanna cry? Roses for Mama or Teddy Bear by Red Sovine
Roses For Momma
By either of these two.
CW McCall or Red Sovine
They trying hard to make you cry. Country music is that way
Great reaction
That dying preacher left behind the chance for that hooker to be saved and her soul was saved she lived on to have a son who became a preacher and told his mothers story as he held up that same Blood Stained Bible from that bus accident deep song
Coincidentally, there were three crosses, and also three survivors.
Another great reaction
Love the song but I never understood what happened to the driver.🤔
Check out Randy Travis w Don Henley on ‘More Time’. Beautiful stuff there…
Stay safe & love much💖
You're eyes when you knew.....😍
Believe by Brooks and Dunn is really good.
was just getting ready to suggest that one. Gets me in the feels every time.
James Blunt Monsters!
