The hooker gave her heart to the Lord and raised her son to be a preach who will bring others to the Lord. Always loved that song 😊❤️ thank you for playing it
I really enjoy how you actually listen to the lyrics and piece together their meaning and the story they’re telling. I know a lot of these country music songs and I anticipate your moment of realization, like in this song, when you figured out who survived. I enjoy your genuine reactions. It’s so refreshing to watch your content and know you’re genuine and not just some overly expressive reactor that’s driving for views and likes. Another Randy Travis song you would appreciate is Deeper Than the Holler.
Randy Travis was in the movie Black Dog with Patrick Sawyze, Meatloaf , if you haven't seen its a great movie , its about an ex-con semi driver ( Sawyze ) driving an illegal guns and gets betrayed by his boss ( Meatloaf)
Great review! Welcome to the country rabbit hole! An amazing journey. New sub here. Great comments. I agree with “Whiskey Lullaby “. “Riding with Private Malone” by David Ball is another good one.
I have not heard this from the writers, but I have always thought the song has one more layer that was left unspoken- why would a hooker be going to Mexico? To me, the preacher that died saved one more soul when he gave her the Bible, because it stopped her from ending her pregnancy.
Swear to God, balloons should be falling from the rafters! Near as I can tell, the number of reax to this song in which the person listening gets the reveal in real time at the end is roughly 3/173. 🤣
@@maggiec3339 A few. It appears that almost all of them have happened to be white. But you can't draw many conclusions. So few reax channels of this type are done by white people that there may be no difference in batting average. And, to be fair, the people on the "black channels" aren't really familiar with how a country song unfolds and have this knack for talking during every single part of a song that is important. I think everyone just shuts down that part of their brain that prevents them from assuming that the preacher is the son of another preacher. The most fun is when they realize something "isn't right" and they start counting on their fingers. Again, though, how many songs have a reveal?
Great review. As many others said I like and can appreciate how closely you listen and pay attention to what you're listening to. I listened to a lot of "Hair" bands and Metal when I was younger, maybe it was because my parents listened to so much country and top 20 type music that I felt I needed to go my own way. OK ... maybe it was more like follow my sister's lead, but as I've gotten older I've made my way back to Country as my "mainstay". Don't get me wrong, I still love what I refer to as "my old-school mix of music genres" too but at this point "my heart is in the country". There are some great stories & messages, and a lot of it comes straight from the heart. Check out Brad Paisley feat. Dolly Parton - "When I get Where I'm Goin'", maybe some Johnny Cash or for a good laugh "I'll never Smoke Weed with Willie Again" Toby Keith/Willie Nelson - My Dad cracked up the first time he heard that one.
Just subscribed to your channel. Love the in-depth commentary and open-minded approach to try to learn to enjoy a genre you previously were not interested in exploring. For some other deep country songs I would suggest "Me and Little Andy" by Dolly Parton, "Man in Black" by Johnny Cash, "Fancy" by Bobbie Gentry and "Coward of The County" by Kenny Rodgers. Country has many deep songs but I can't list them all. One thing to keep in mind is this: "Country music is three chords and the truth." It's an old quote but it still stands. At it's heart country is about good music, heartfelt emotions and blunt honesty. Can't wait to see you continue your country music journey.
Thank you for understanding what this song really means. 💜 You have no idea how many reactors have zero clue the meaning of get hung up on laughing about the hooker which is exactly the point Randy is making here.
Its Still Pretty Sad Randy Isn't Able To Sing Anymore. FYI,Randy Suffered A Terrible Stroke Which Resulted In Him Not Being Able To Sing Anymore & Limited His Ability To Talk. He Ended Up Retiring Because Of It
Great video Frodo! I'm glad you read my comment. You don't have to listen to every song I recommend, but I do know my way around country music, so I'm gonna keep recommending them. Three Wooden Crosses is my favorite song, but even I can admit that it is a bit sad, so I thought I'd recommend a happier song next. Song: "The Corvette Song" by George Jones Lyric Video: ua-cam.com/video/N1RaLL_g4g0/v-deo.html P.S. George Jones was and always will be the greatest voice of country music!
Wonderful reaction. A few other songs you may want to check out - Sawyer Brown's - 800 Pound Jesus : Billy Ray Cyrus - Busy Man : Alabama's Angels Among US and Garth Brooks - The River. I probably could go on more but don't want to ramble too much.
The whole deeper meaning here is that the preacher left the Bible to the hooker who read it to her son and because of that preacher doing that her son grew up to be a preacher and change other peoples lives as well.
Hi my friend I am a disabled veteran from the Vietnam War I live on a very small disability check not easy to make it nowadays no one has done a reaction video to George Jones 50 thousand names on the wall will you honor my Fallen Brothers and do a reaction video to it Semper Fi
Did you actually understand the song? Most reactors don't pay attention enough to understand the whole story. Since you didn't say anything about it, at the end, I'm guessing that you didn't understand it either.

I Thought He Walked On Water!! Always reminds me of my Grandpa!!
Beautiful story
I see your dolphins. My son was on the Corpus Christi. 👍🏽
Kudos for getting it right, I've watched many reactors who get confused as to who survived the accident.

I was a mental health therapist. It truly bless my heart whe i ran into an old client who thanked me for helping him...he stated he has been clean
That would be a fantastic payback for your life of helping people out of their problems.
If you serve on the Drum, thanks for your time. I did not know they used her name again.
You should check out Gene Watson singing "Farewell Party. " George Jones singing,"He Stopped Loving Her Today." Is also good!
Let me just say, this is the kind of stuff you can look forward to, without a doubt.
Kenny Rogers singing ( coward of the county) is another song with a strong message

Nope not a hooker but a Soon to be Mother!! I believe after that happened the preacher's words showed her a better way! Take Care Young Man..
Someone who actually listens to the lyrics.
I'm glad someone recommended that song. I was actually going to recommend it to but someone beat me to it. Lol.
I have to admit I am really enjoying Country so far. Surprising I know. Thank you my love for helping me to see it.

You should react to Shoulders-For King And Country. It's really good & inspiring.
Another one is Legendary-Skillet.
