I appreciate how much fun Jen has with her editing. Normally these kinds of moving or thrift or room makeover vlogs are used as an excuse to be lazy about being creative, cos after all the focus is on the clothes or room, but daaaaamn does it really help with engaging your fans. Born and raised in NY lived here for over 30 yrs and i wouldn't recommend living here unless you love the hustle and bustle life, definitely more of a fun travel spot!

I just discovered your channel with the “a boy made me cry so I’m leaving nyc” video and so I’ve backtracked to catch up on your vlogs (LOVE your content) but GIRL, it’s the foreshadowing for me!! With your comment of I feel like when everything is going good something bad has to happen, it’s a real reflection of the dichotomy of the universe. Everything good needs just as big of “bad” to keep its balance and in a way it’s a beautiful thing. Feeling all of the feelings are what the human experience is all about. We wouldn’t know happiness without pain❤️

i really love hearing that you're in a really good place in your life right now where a lot of fun stuff has been hapening to you. I'm so excited for the summer as well!! I'm going to be doing so many fun things and i have a lot to look forward to once my exams are done. I feel like i'm finally becoming more open to new things and becoming a little more independant as time goes by. I'm just in a better place over all and i want to make this summer so much fun because the last year really sucked. I was in such a bad place so i love that we're both experiencing fun stuff and i hope it continues for a long time

When I was younger I used to go to NY all the time because my family is from Queens. I would always go with my family because that’s just what I was used to doing, never really exploring for myself and doing the things I wanted to do. Last month I went for the first time without them to explore the city for myself and visit a friend. And now I want to move there 😭 also since my aspirations changed to me wanting to be a fashion stylist it’s definitely a no brainer I have to go. Thank you for being so realistic, I’m watching videos for encouragement rn/tips so thanks for the encouragement!!

As someone who was born in nyc and grew up there I hated living there especially being Dominican in Washington heights. Finally left to Seattle 2021 and moved back to ny a year later but decided it was best to live atleast 30 min away from the city. Yeas sometimes it’s boring and lonely but there’s more freedom from just everything.
The way you edited those pics in chapter 3 reminded me so much of my scene and I loved it

Welcome to NYC! I'm glad you're having fun now that you're not buried in student life! If you do move here for real though, please PLEASE PLEASE I implore you be safe and do not show the view out of your window/fire escape/front door which will easily reveal exactly where you live to anybody in NYC, like without even trying people will know exactly where you live and even if in the best case scenario like the most well-meaning people end up knowing, that's just a boundary you wanna keep drawn!! not to mention not-so-good-case scenarios!

I feel like this was confirmation that I should move to NY for a year or for a summer like I thought!! I’m from Ohio and just recently was in Syracuse and I LOVE IT.
