Your husband is very skilled. I like the layout and details. If this is just the RV I imagine you have beautiful cabinets and furniture in your home as well.
Thank you for posting the video. I was a school bus driver for 20 years before making the jump to truck driving. It is really nice to see that buses like this can be converted.
Having owned a truck repair shop I have seen many home made bus/RV's and without out doubt yours is the best of all I have seen.I would love to have it and start viewing the country in comfort only problem is I can't see well enough to get a license so I'm afraid not.But it still is the best conversion I have ever seen.
Very nice bus interior, that kitchen is awesome, those cabinets are fantastic. Like the bedroom. For me a single guy, I'd eliminate the bunks and make that a small desk area.
What an incredibly beautiful place!! I loved the tour. it looks like a Sweet little cottage! You're husband did an excellent job! You're family will have many happy memories to share here!
Beautiful! There is not a single thing I would change. And, your video was wonderful, I like that you took the time to show all the cupboards, drawers, fold down table, sink, toilet, and yes even the tires.Great job!
When I saw the title,"school bus conversion" I thought eh!, boy was I surprised! It looks so professional and the quality of the build is awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Had no idea it was up for sale until her end comments. I only have one issue with it. A 5 gallon electric water heater isn't nearly enough hot water I'd of put in a tankless hot on demand propane powered RV 500 system. That's what I've installed in my coach and really like it. Never run out of hat water unless you run out of propane or water.
Gaylene Horch, We painted the top with a heat reflective, anti mildew resistant paint. We added insulation all around where we replaced the old bus windows. Also, the floor has a layer of insulation below the wood floors. Yes, this could be a full time residence. It would need to have hook ups or someone could install waste and water tanks. We used closed oil electric heaters that plugged in. It was plenty warm down to the 30's.
Thanks. It's very tempting, but I'm also looking at a bus I can design from scratch. Will you post updates on here if you drop the price or have a pending sale?
This very nice i want go school to learn how to build and measure like if i wanted to build house and all wood furniture in it i could like this is so beautiful
bar none best bus conversion ive seen so far. I want to do this for my family and attempt to create mini bedrooms for the kids. Your video gives the closest view to mine. dig it. just an idea.... You could lift your bed 3 feet off the ground and use the space underneath as closets
Pretty awesome bus, i can't believe how much it weighed before the seats were removed! Our 40ft charter bus only weighed 28,000 lbs before removing the seats and overhead storage bays! There must be a lot of steel in that sucker.
That's so awesome! One of the best I've seen so far but I personally would've gone with lighter colors and more white to make it feel more spacious. Dark colors like the red can make it feel smaller. But wow, great job!
That's is a cool video about old Double-decker bus #doubledeckerbus and #bus and #camping bus.. I watched your video till the end and subscribed to your channel.. I am looking forward to see your next videos..
You may want to make a temp. floor over the stair well. To put over it when you're in the bus so you don't fall down the stairs. They have this in RV's.
I'm buying the same bus this Friday! I hope it turns out as nice as yours. I understand why you are asking that for it. It's ALOT of work and it's not exactly cheap! Great job! What's the furthest you have been in it? Anything you would do differently if you had it to do over? Yours is basically the same set up I had in mind with the exception mine will have to have 4 bunks.
well it's a beautiful bus. you never mentioned if it's for sale or not. your husband did an awesome job on this bus. I've driven the school bus for the last 15 years or so and driven the Thomas pusher many many times. so if it's for sale how much is it and you should put him into the bus building business. thank you
Hey y'all! I left a comment a few months back. I bought your bus from the couple you sold it to. I've been making some changes and getting ready to live in it full time. I would love to ask some questions about your build process. Thanks so much. I look forward to hearing from you.
Cabinet doors could use some latches so they don't fly open. Fridge should be able to run on AC,DC, and LP gas. You'll not be able to dry camp with this rig, as nicely done as it is. What type of furnace do you have?
The interior space looks smaller for a 39 footer. Or is it the handycam lens effect? Even the bath and the bed are just the same size that we see in caravans. Something is amiss! Or is there a secret room behind the bed?!😊
Really nice job. I few questions that you didn't cover. What do you use to heat & cool the bus. Also, what kind of mileage do you get on a trip. I can't get over the craftsmanship. Really nice job.... Thanks
1timby Thank you so much. We only used fans to cool the bus. We used an oil filled space heater for heat. I would probably buy an electric box heater now though. The mileage is about 7-10 mpg depending on the terrain.
Wow. Lots of time and love went into this. Wondering about insulation... could this be used as a full time residence in the Portland area? What heat source?
This is the best "virgin rubber" movies I've seen in some time. I was looking in the rear on the video and didn't notice the anchor, does it come with one to increase the gas mileage?
Im 5 years late but im trying get ideas for a schoolie. This is a SICK ass setup. I love it. 💪💪💪💪💖💖💖💖💖💖
Magic Mike Yes. Sorry, but thank you!!!
@@dghometeam no need to be sorry, the video was inspiring to me. If i ever get a setup I'll send you a link. Thank you again
Magic Mike That would be awesome! Thank you!
Your husband is very skilled. I like the layout and details. If this is just the RV I imagine you have beautiful cabinets and furniture in your home as well.
Thank you very much. He has built some nice pieces!!!
One of the nicest I've seen on UA-cam. Maybe my favorite. Love the builtins. So homey and beautiful.
H D Thank you!
Thank you for posting the video. I was a school bus driver for 20 years before making the jump to truck driving. It is really nice to see that buses like this can be converted.
It's by far 2nd best schoolie built i have ever seen
Thank you so much!!
Your family did an excellent job on the refurbishing of that bus into a livable home. Excellent job
Andrew King grate job cute all hell
I've been a school bus driver for years, and it is nice to see some still hanging around!
I have great respect to anybody who converts public buses into living space.
Having owned a truck repair shop I have seen many home made bus/RV's and without out doubt yours is the best of all I have seen.I would love to have it and start viewing the country in comfort only problem is I can't see well enough to get a license so I'm afraid not.But it still is the best conversion I have ever seen.
aww. thank you very much! I hope you are able to get out and travel!!
Very nice bus interior, that kitchen is awesome, those cabinets are fantastic. Like the bedroom. For me a single guy, I'd eliminate the bunks and make that a small desk area.
thank you. yes, customization is key! :)
What an incredibly beautiful place!! I loved the tour. it looks like a Sweet little cottage! You're husband did an excellent job! You're family will have many happy memories to share here!

Thank you so much for your kind words!
Frankly I can't tell it's a bus. It's so nice it looks like a real house. Love it !!!
3G Mom Thank you so much! what a great compliment!
When I saw the title,"school bus conversion" I thought eh!, boy was I surprised! It looks so professional and the quality of the build is awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much!!!!
I love it! Reminds me of my grandma's trailer, but MUCH nicer 🤗

Lovey Lynn thank you so very much! We put our heart into it!
Holy smokes, your conversion is terrific! You did an abundance of planning and custom work. Well done!
thank you so much!!!
I wish I had the money. I would buy this in a heartbeat!
I love your conversion, I know what those tires cost, be proud.
bar none best bus conversion ive seen so far. I want to do this for my family and attempt to create mini bedrooms for the kids. Your video gives the closest view to mine. dig it. just an idea.... You could lift your bed 3 feet off the ground and use the space underneath as closets
SunFlowur Thank you! we have a storage space under there already, but yes, you could do that. however it might block the emergency exit in the back.
Beautiful craftsmanship. You did a great conversion.
Wow...just so much love and personality.
Pretty awesome bus, i can't believe how much it weighed before the seats were removed! Our 40ft charter bus only weighed 28,000 lbs before removing the seats and overhead storage bays! There must be a lot of steel in that sucker.
Thank you! and exactly! They are pretty stout!
Damned if that's not just about a perfect set up right there. VERY nice work!
thank you very much. it is very comfortable
You guys did a great job with this conversion! Beautiful!
That's so awesome! One of the best I've seen so far but I personally would've gone with lighter colors and more white to make it feel more spacious. Dark colors like the red can make it feel smaller. But wow, great job!
Let's see all the tires again
haha I was about to complain about the tyre tour, but realised the video was made to sell it
Silly dicks, always complaining...
Nice tires !
I almost clicked off at that point.
Virgin Rubber....

+dghometeam Did you sale it yet?
We have not sold it yet.
I guess we are in hard times!!!!!
I'm buying the same bus this Friday! I hope it turns out as nice as yours. I understand why you are asking that for it. It's ALOT of work and it's not exactly cheap! Great job! Billy Beavers Thank you! Good luck! No, everything worked out really well!! Florida is the farthest we have taken it.
okay so I see it is for sale for $25,000 good price
If you get a tire gauge you can show the amount of tread depth on the tires
Wow that's amazing!
Wow that toilet was great

kyle whitcroft Hey! Sorry I missed that. Can you send me a private message?
dghometeam sure - if I can figure out how to do that! 🤔
Just checking back in. Still slowly making changes to the bus and have some questions. I don’t know how to send a private message. 🥴
georgeous. love it !
Nicely done! 2 dark inside 4 my taste, but all around great gob. how much did it go 4? Thanks

C'est très très mal filmé! mais quelle beauté à l'intérieur de ce bus
! vous avez fait un vrai petit nid douillet, félicitations !
What do you use for AC and heat when driving, and on shore power. Cool conversion.
Wow. Lots of time and love went into this. Wondering about insulation... could this be used as a full time residence in the Portland area? What heat source?
wow...really nice !!!
steve mitchell thank you so much!
nice job.
thank you
Beautiful
GREAT looking bus, gives me some ideas on how to build one some day. . . . . How hard was it to move the door to mid-ship like that ?
John W Thank you! Not difficult if you can weld.
Nice job honestly. I'm surprised you went with 110 electrical setup, rather than DC.
It was easier/cheaper to get all of the supplies at home improvement store, rather than RV store
I know that this comment is coming late, but the stove oven combo is also referred to as a range.... I took an Architecture class in High School
Looks like the professional came in and did this plenty of money as the paid one
that's nice I like it
Very nice
Do you have any information on how the trailer hitch is installed? is it custom made or an off the shelf item? looking for a hitch for mine
Awesome!!
This is the best "virgin rubber" movies I've seen in some time. I was looking in the rear on the video and didn't notice the anchor, does it come with one to increase the gas mileage?
I'm not sure what an "anchor" is.
