12 valve cummins don't just "blow up." They forgot to put oil in it, or it coolant, and it overheated. I believe the cummins dealer is liable for this bill!
One of the reasons why I always try to do my own work on stuff. A lot of mechanics, contractors, etc are mouthbreathers and do not care about their work. These 12V motors run forever if taken care of and not abused.
Honestly, I can't even watch the rest of this video in peace. I can't stop thinking about how obvious Cummins effed up the motor. Even if they didn't intentionally break it, you gave them 4k to go through it top to bottom. A huge issue like that doesn't just go from 0 to 100. There had to have been warning signs. So, they missed the warning signs or they just straight up effed up. There's NO way you should have paid for that.
I was thinking the same thing. I use to work at a car dealership and we've had customers complain about mechanic shop saying their cars got worse after their supposed repair lol
Ah man, they made you pay $4,600 to ruin your motor just to have you pay another $21k for a new motor? What was the point in paying the $4,600? They were supposed to make sure everything was okay? That was so so wrong. It makes me sick for you. It’s awesome that you were so easy going about it but they just screwed you my man. Please post what dealership that was so no one else gets screwed out of $27k. So sorry that happened to you but amazing results.
Ain’t no way I would’ve gave them another 21k after giving them 4600. That’s crazy! Now what I do like is he has a sense of community and how everyone helped with this project.
See I'm not the only that thinks you both deserve an award for your movie, "Bus Life Story". It took a village to create this movie and they were amazing supporting actors. Most importantly, bus friends and family for life! Now, go direct the rest of the scenes, Isaac. Geez, this is better to watch than TV I swear. Filipina follower from San Francisco will be right here waiting. May Bus Life Jesus continues to protect and keep all of you safe.
I absolutely am in love with the whole bus. I so enjoy watching this built. This is the best built ever so far for a school bus. Thank you for sharing this to all of our UA-cam viewers.
It seems the bus was working fine before they worked on it, I think it was something they did to it. I feel they should have come good for at least part of the new motor. I might be wrong but just my feeling.
To me this looks much better(comfortable) than those $2 million class a motorhomes that look like a casino where everything is reflective and there’s lightning in over Elaborate ceilings, leather, glass wine bars ext. 😄
I'm such a sap. You all had me literally crying tears of joy for y'all. Total freedom. I'm so excited for your amazing new adventure in life. Enjoy. You all are really living out loud and in color. Thank you!!! Your family is so gorgeous and amazing. I'm so impressed with y'all.
This is a revelation into the amount of effort, and skill it takes to do a fabulous project like this. One of the most beautiful builds I've seen and a very helpful video. Feliz RV!
What a fantastic job! No corners cut, beautiful detail. Done with love! Nice work you all! Issac seems like such a decent and thoughtful young man. He built a beautiful home for his lovely wife Jaylena and precious baby Ember. Truly a beautiful home! May God watch over , bless and keep you all! Much love ❤ 🙏🏼 🇨🇦
To this day I believe the mechanics messed up your bus. You drove it from the man you bought it from with no issues. How many miles was that? You drove it to the mechanic with no issues. You pick it up from the mechanics then you barely get down the road and break down. It doesn't add up, except in their pockets!! 🥺☹️
@@isaacturnerit Totally agree, but the key to this story is that you didn't complain or make assumptions, as it was pretty much hard to prove at that point. Instead, you spoke only of the solution, got it done, and focused only on your goal and blessings. I genuinely believe that if we had a view of everything behind the scenes, we would see all of your blessings and happiness, and all of the opposite for the other party, but thanks to your extreme intelligence and great spirits, we ONLY SEE YOUR BLESSINGS AND SUCCESS. The only view that's worth seeing!!! Thank you guys I'm so grateful and happy for you.
So so much work went in on this. It is so heart warming to watch it again and remember how many wonderful friends came to help make it happen. God bless you all. All of you worked together to create a beautiful home. Hugs and love to you all.
I've watched this video a couple times. I think you made an awesome choice on the size of your bus. Not too big and not to small. Plus the layout is excellent. Everything you need and still plenty of room for activities. Great job 👍
The Beautiful Part is that You Have Somewhere Else to Live While You are Converting the Bus into Your New Tiny Home on Wheels. You Also Have It In a Garage Witch is Helpful. I Definitely Like What You Have Done.
So much comes shining through in this video: your building skills, your ability to build relationships, your humility and willingness to collaborate demonstrating respect towards those coming along side to help you, your dedication and stick-to-itiveness and your attitude of gratitude. Oh, but the most outstanding thing that came shining through loud and clear was the labor of love you poured into building your home. I felt that love pouring out of your heart as you diligently worked at every phase, toward the finish line. The love was tangible! Much respect for you Sir! I totally agree with everyone when they say, excellent job! Then there's Jaylena's part. She brought that touch that makes a house a home. It brings me much joy to see her beaming with happiness. It emanates through that camera. Her beauty inside and out is clearly experienced when viewing the video. I have seen her journey from another place and time where she chose to not allow defeat in her life. She has come through so much. Much love and respect for you Jaylena! It goes without saying, Ember is a star in her own right! Cuteness to the nth degree! Beautiful! One day when she views these videos, she'll see how loved and truly blessed she is to have you both as parents. I am praying God's abounding blessings over your entire family and your beautiful home.
This was WAY more work than I could have imagined. Thanks for talking me out of taking on a project like this - I would have not gotten past the first 10% of that without losing interest or feeling overwhelmed!
Love how you guys put this video together...I watched the build as you were doing it... and it was so good to be transported back to see Ember so tiny again... to see Jaylena pregnant and of course Embers favourite Uncle, Levi helping out... thank you so much for reminding me why I watch you guys week in and week out... Cheers.
You done an amazing job on the bus, its such a shame that cummins didnt take responsibility for there lack of quality workmanship, you should of had a 1 or 3 month warranty on the work and parts they done. In the UK and EU you do. You seem such a nice person and your daughter will grow up and be able to see all this and be so proud of mum and dad x
Epic video, Isaac! You did a great job taking us through this beautiful build. Your shout out to those that helped make this a home❤. Jaylenas feminine touch brings out the best of this home. Congratulations on a hard job well done. We're proud of you both, what a team you two are!
Watching this and everyone of the videos as they were posted… just AMAZING!!! You make The Journey ‘Worth it!’ who would have guessed… The ‘Swag Fam’ on wheels! So much LOVE to Y’all! You have given me so much HOPE and Inspiration to continue The Journey! Love to this family of JOY!!! ❤

That turned out. Beautiful. I am amazed, impressed. Absolutely stunned. He did a most excellent job. I have never liked a school bus renovation before until now. you have Proved. me wrong. Thank you.
Awesome awesome awesome journey and just look at it now awesome awesome awesome . I love Ember little room . Your bus realy looks like a tiny apartment but a big apartment all in one . I would love to have space like this . Awesome job Isaac and jaylena and all who help make so awesome. God Bless you all😊😊😊
❤❤❤🚌🚌🚌🙌🏾 this inspired me to keep going on our custom build conversion for a mobile academic classroom on wheels for my nonprofit. God bless you and your beautiful family.
If you haven’t already done it you should put a bead of silicone across all the cabinets and walls and couch etc so it’ll seal the floor off if y’all have any spills it won’t run under the cabinets where you can’t clean it up
This is so inspiring, but also a reality check. Lol. My kids dad is trying to talk me into doing this, I’m down for sure, but we need somewhere to go ASAP and I don’t think he understands the amount of money and TIME this is going to take. He thinks he can just find a bus for $1,500 and start building, or atleast that’s how he makes it sound. I’m just like no, there’s so much more to it and we need something temporary until we start our bus building journey. This turned out so beautifully tho🥹 y’all have such a beautiful family and such strong will and so much patience, especially in the beginning when it seemed like u got ripped off by the mechanic and yet u both stayed so calm and cool about it and just kept moving forward. Thank you guys for sharing this.
25 min in. Great job guy's. 👏 I have a ole 89 bluebird and 12v. I haven't worked on her in yrs. She's been sitting behind the garage 😐. I got about halfway into my build before I got shut down for health reasons with thy ole man. But every spring I get that spring in my step to want to get back at her. Great job so far. I like what you're doing. Peace and love brother/Sis/Amber. Great name for your daughter. That's my first babies name.
Wow!!! Such a great video--you learn a lot just watching how you put everything together. And, your new home is absolutely beautiful! Also, I love your energy, your commentary and banter, a positive, fun, inspiring personality, clearly cared for and supported by a community of friends. I'll look forward to more videos. You guys make a great team and family. Happy travels.
You deserve an academy award for this Bus Life Story. You both are incredibly talented in everything you put your mind to. Congratulations on the success and achievement of your home. Enjoy the spectacular journey to come with your small family. Now go make some memories. I can’t wait to keep following you guys.🥰
The finished bus is just gorgeous, and is a testament to all your hard work, patience, and dedication to how you want to live. Congratulations on your beautiful baby. It doesn’t look good for that Cummings dealer and I bet they’re not aware of the publicity they’re getting afterwords. The least they could have done was to discount the new engine the $4,600.
Great job!! Seriously on the bus Isaac and the video skills. Both you and J seem to have definitely stepped up your game! I love to see it and you all fall more in love everyday! All good stuff!!
This bus was built with family, friendships and lots of love! I’m so incredibly happy for your little bus family, Isaac and Jaylena. And little Ember makes everything happier and sweet ♥️ Congratulations again, y’all are just so much fun to watch!
Love the bus, it's truly evident you put your love into it. I don't know about anyone else but it made me madder than a wet hen that Cummins had the audacity to charge you 21k after they said they fixed everything. That's some serious bad karma on them. I'm happy you have a beautiful reliable home for your adorable baby.
What ah ride BACK DOWN MEMORY LANE! But y’all made it . Through many obstacles, ups and downs! I’m so proud and happy for everyone who had hands on physically. And those who gave monetarily to the cause! Great job and y’all and KEEP IT IN DRIVE!🚍😃
Beautiful so happy for you. All your hard work and perseverance paid off big time. So excited for what's yet to come. Well done to all who contributed to the bus build, and other behind the scenes work that also helped to make it happen. Congrats again and thanks for sharing!
🥹😭😭 So proud of your hustle even while raising a BRAND NEW BABY!! Like holy cow you guys, you’re unstoppable and whatever is coming next is so huge I can hardly wait to witness it. Loving you all so dearly, keep making magic happen. 🤩🙏🏽❤️🔥✨
WOW Isaac, you did an AMAZING job on this video - thank you for taking the time to put this together....spectacular!! I truly enjoyed it!! Sending lots and lots of love & hugs, Wanda 🤗
Most beautiful and cozy motor home I have ever seen.. so much of hardwork, perseverance and endurance... God bless u guys. Ur home is as beautiful as ur lil angel❤❤❤
I LOVE LOVE LOVE that your daughter’s name is Ember. My 9 year old granddaughter is Ember!!! I plan on doing the bus conversion soon. Love what you’ve done with it!!

Dude paid more than the bus is worth
He didn’t get it home!! Right?

Hope she enjoys her bus🎉

I think they knew the engine was going down they should have given him a discount!
Your baby looks like a beautiful little angel!! Congratulations on the baby AND the conversion. Amazing job!!!
Seeing you greet you lady & baby girl a beautiful welcome home made me cry!!!Never stop loving them like you do.xxxxxxx
💗
This bus turned out so pretty, I still believe the mechanics messed the engine up tho but the bus is so pretty and perfect. Amazing job
GREAT PERSON, GREAT JOB, GREAT PERSONALITY, GREAT FAMILY, GREAT COMPOSER. THAT COMPANY OWES YOU AND IM SURE YOU TOOK CARE OF THAT.
See I'm not the only that thinks you both deserve an award for your movie, "Bus Life Story". It took a village to create this movie and they were amazing supporting actors. In Australia a bus engine would have cost from $4500 to 14500. You need to shop around next time because 21000 seems a lot.
This is precisely why I do mh own repairs. No one tk blame but myself. No hard feelings. No suspicion and no scams.
It seems the bus was working fine before they worked on it, I think it was something they did to it. I feel they should have come good for at least part of the new motor. I might be wrong but just my feeling.
The world will never know
Really nice edit man. I know telling that full story in one video wasn’t easy!
Thanks yo
To me this looks much better(comfortable) than those $2 million class a motorhomes that look like a casino where everything is reflective and there’s lightning in over Elaborate ceilings, leather, glass wine bars ext. 😄

I love the dedication, drive, creativity, love, and humor that went into the making of this bus-home. 🎉
Fantastic job, y'all.
The bus looks absolutely beautiful i love the wood burning stove and the flooring
BRAVO! I may not be your mama, but I'm proud as a mama can be for you.
The Homey , that’s what I would name it. A shout out to all the collaborators ❤
The homey!! I love that!
Yes The Homey 😀
Not many have what it takes to get to the finish line of such a massive project and your work is OUTSTANDING, congratulations to you both.
Thanks for being a part of it dad
Not many have friends and family that will help you get to the finish line.
Wonder their MARRIAGE lasted hard enough to renovate a home
This is a revelation into the amount of effort, and skill it takes to do a fabulous project like this. One of the most beautiful builds I've seen and a very helpful video. Feliz RV!
Wow, thank you!
47:36 look how much space it has from this view. It doesn’t feel cramped due to how much light comes in through all the windows. 😊
Def :)

Alot of mechanics are strait up crooks! Karma will give them their just desserts 10 fold!!
Glad someone said it lol
You need to post the name of that dealership to warn others.
you guys made this transformation look so easy. Amazing job! Great video!
Very nice build. Live what you've done with live edge cabinets and the river rock and wood flooring on the entry way steps. Very nice.
thanks!
You are a amazing friend Josh.xxxxxxxAll the ways from New Zealand 🇳🇿 ❤️
Thank you for being here
So so much work went in on this. It is so heart warming to watch it again and remember how many wonderful friends came to help make it happen. God bless you all. All of you worked together to create a beautiful home. Hugs and love to you all.
I have a international bus I just bought. What do yall do about insurance. My insurance company won't touch it
I've watched this video a couple times.
I think you made an awesome choice on the size of your bus.
Not too big and not to small.
Plus the layout is excellent.
Everything you need and still plenty of room for activities.
Great job 👍
Thanks yoo
I am so awed by the community that you build with these busses. This is a beautiful build that could only be inspired by love and friendship.

This was WAY more work than I could have imagined. Thanks for talking me out of taking on a project like this - I would have not gotten past the first 10% of that without losing interest or feeling overwhelmed!

Cheers.
Thank you for watching and following our journey ❤️
You done an amazing job on the bus, its such a shame that cummins didnt take responsibility for there lack of quality workmanship, you should of had a 1 or 3 month warranty on the work and parts they done. In the UK and EU you do.
You seem such a nice person and your daughter will grow up and be able to see all this and be so proud of mum and dad x
Great build!! So glad you are "living the dream"
I have to say it again, awesome video! A lot of hard work went into this on the build side and the editing side! Great job!!!
Thanks for watching yo!
Props for doing it right. Impressive work. I hope it pays off for a lifetime to come.
Epic video, Isaac! You did a great job taking us through this beautiful build. Your shout out to those that helped make this a home❤. Jaylenas feminine touch brings out the best of this home. Congratulations on a hard job well done. We're proud of you both, what a team you two are!

Swag fam! Love it!!
My condolences on the loss of your Father. I love your videos.
A mechanic forget to put the kotter pin back in my truck fully , I'm guessing, because i was turning a corner and my right front end dropped in the road. We found the pin behid the truck on the road. No one was hurt thankfully. I made a quick trip to the store and im glad i did becase the next day we would been hauling a loaded trailer of heavy construction tools and building materials. I estimated the time i drove and accident with where we would have been the next day and we wouof been on the Internstate doing 65 mph. Im positive it would of been a deadly accident if the kotter key fell out then!!!!! An angel was with me. You betcha that mechanic got a tow truck and fixed it all again for free. I feel for this couple cause i feel they got swindled!
Thank you soooooooo much for sharing!!!! You showed us the entire project every detail especially the difficult little, big, pain in the but details that we don't realize gotta get done. God bless you and your beautiful family.
I can't believe we didn't get to see a final tour through the finished bus. I would love to have seen the fruits of your labor.
Maybe in another video …l.
If you haven’t already done it you should put a bead of silicone across all the cabinets and walls and couch etc so it’ll seal the floor off if y’all have any spills it won’t run under the cabinets where you can’t clean it up
So nice to see when something is FINISHED!! You did an amazing thorough job!!! 👍👍😎❤️
Thanks so much ❤️
Awesome guy. Gave Cummins a bad name. With a little this and that, we can figure out which dealer you went to.
I watched every bit of it as you were doing it but it’s still fun to see it again. You did a tremendous amount of work for your beautiful home.
Thank you so much for being a part of the journey
