I think in this scene, Gordon's son represents whoever is watching the movie, but who doesn't understand why Batman is doing this, so when Gordon makes his last speech it's not just for Son but for all of us.
Honestly, I like this better than just watching a movie clip. All the cheering and the theatre effect on the sounds make this much better. Only if there wasn't this one voice screaming "into" the mic, watching this would've been such a good experience.
The dark knight was the first film I saw in theaters ever when I was 5 yrs old and is what made me love Batman so much and to this day this movie is my favorite of all time

This is a father telling his son about the batman, like teaching him about life telling him about people and society, giving father's wisdom . This is beautifully written........
I think in this scene, Gordon's son represents whoever is watching the movie, but who doesn't understand why Batman is doing this, so when Gordon makes his last speech it's not just for Son but for all of us.
A moment of silence for the people that missed seeing this masterpiece in theaters.
Only if I could go back in time and catch this masterpiece in a theatre 😰

Honestly, I like this better than just watching a movie clip. All the cheering and the theatre effect on the sounds make this much better.
