@@akchanneltv4084 I only mentioned comic book movies since most people here wouldn't know other great non-comic movies since they doesn't have Batman or Joker in them.
Nolan actually made the the most human of superheroes even MORE human. In past films, most folks rooted for Batman, as Batman was usually the focus with Bruce being thrown by the wayside. Nolan’s writing and Bale’s portrayal allowed you to root for Bruce as much as the Batman. I still remember people cheering in the theater at the end of The Dark Knight Rises. Definitely a game-changer, IMO.
@@ashokkumarganesan3927 And you’re entitled to that opinion. That being said, Bale’s portrayal of Batman/Bruce Wayne is one of the rare times we’ve actually seen the character develop.
Why this trilogy is a masterpiece ? 1. Nolan 2. Hans Zimmer 3. Christian Bale 4. Its a film not a comic superhero 5. Aaroon Eechkart, Heath ledger & Tom Hardy
FENRIR-ART This got garbage is nowhere near LOTR or Star Wars original trilogy. The idiot that said that is a millennial with no perspective whatsoever.
Nolan hit the nail on head from the beginning with the quote, "As a man, I'm flesh and blood, I can be ignored, I can be destroyed; but as a symbol... as a symbol I can be incorruptible, I can be everlasting." Batman is symbol. Batman could be anybody. That was the difference between Nolan's trilogy and all other comic book movies.
bruce wayne realistically is the only one who could be batman imo hes got the money and wayne enterprises supplying him with gear. other people were trying to be him but the difference is they wear hockey pads and dont have access to the gear
I think you don't get the point of what batman represents in this trilogy then. Batman represents standing up and doing the right thing because it is the right thing to do to quote the movie. Be it spending all your money for a crusade against crime or simply idk telling orphaned boys that everything is going to be well.
Putting the Joker, without makeup in that military lineup was really brilliant. It showed he wasn't really a crime boss and would do the work that had to be done, himself.
The joker is the hero of the movie , burning the Banks money and chasing batman the wallstreet billionaire is the evidence that he was standing for freedom
@@ramzichouk4080 His biggest point he wanted to prove was that deep down people were like him. That when push comes to shove, people will eat each other alive and morality is proven to be a cover. At the end of the movie when neither of the boats explode as the people inside chose death over killing the other boat, this disappoints him and batman even says something like "not everybody is like you"
There will never be a better Bruce Wayne, a better joker, a better director to direct a Batman movie and definitely not another composer like Hans Zimmer
Don't forget the great James Newton Howard with Hans Zimmer in the Dark Knight. He created some magical tracks.. I was a little upset when he was not involved in the 3rd movie. He respectfully moved away. But yeah. Brilliant composer as well..
@babaniko yeah because they tried to copy what Marvel did beat for beat and just completely rushed through everything instead of developing a cohesive vision
People may disagree with me but for me this trilogy set up the legacy of Batman outside comics. If it wasn't for this trilogy Batman movies would have been just another live action comic movies which comes and fades away with time but this right here is something which will go down in the history of superhero movies as a gold standard and a true justice to the legacy of Batman.
The dark Knight was the only reason we care about batman. I'm not sure on the math but he takes things like batman and dunkirk.... You know... I'm lost even here
Yeah, I have no doubt Matt Reeves Batman would never been greenlit if it wasn't for Nolans proceeding it. The trailer for that seems to push the theme in even stranger territory. You have to thank Nolan for opening these doors.
Danni Rodriguez i feel like they asked him to join the documentary. They couldn’t leave out hans zimmer he was a big part of the story as well but who knows
I like how it opened with "This is not about merchandising, how many toys you can sell" to show that was the state of Superheroe movies back then. They set the Bar for all Superhero movie story telling, to the point it become a part of movie history.
"Warner ...! Waaarneeer!!! - Why have they uploaded that video, dad?" "Because we have to watch it." "But the movie came out like ... years ago ..." "Because it's a documentary that the people deserve. But not the one they needed right now. So we uploaded it. Because it will show the legacy of these films. Because these are not just superhero movies. These are stories about individuals, about great character arcs, about 'The Dark Knight'."
If only there was a way to describe the feeling I had when I walked out of the theater after watching The Dark Knight. I honestly felt like I witnessed a true masterpiece in cinematic form.
I also will never forget the feeling I had, when the closing titles and music came up at the end of The Dark Knight. first time seeing it, it's an incredible movie only few movies come even close as a first-view-experience.
I think the dark knight trilogy are the only films I’ve ever genuinely finished and instantly seen it as a pure masterpiece. Still rewatch them all the time nowadays
One of the best behind the scenes I have seen to date. So much detail went into these movies . They resonate , they are beauty art and passion . Wonderful .
I agree. I came here after watching a "behind the scenes" look at CGI which was made well-nigh unwatchable, given the condescending script and tone of the videos presenter, who attempted to ridicule the performances of brilliant actors as being silly & laughable (because the actors are acting with someone in a green or blue suit/wearing stilts or any such pre CGI gear as is necessitated by the process. The subject matter interested me...the horribly negative, disrespectful & petty tone detracted from my enjoyment of the information, guaranteeing I would watch no other offerings from that site. It was, however, a "fortuitous mistake" on my part, as it motivated me to search "behind the scenes" in Google to seek out INTERESTING and in depth pieces on the subjects that interest me. The eloquence of the various interviewees elevates this video (which is of far greater length) to something far beyond others....succinctly describing the differences between the approach to these films as opposed to that of other franchises.
Mcu reached the height of their career in endgame and even that can’t top this. Don’t get me wrong I like both but the mcu can never really reach this level of storytelling, the mcu is more like a brand and wants to keep going to make money but the TDK trilogy is a story with a beginning, middle, and end it’s truly beautiful and will be remembered for being the greatest comic book trilogy.

This was not only the best Batman series but even compared to all the Marvel and DC stuff, this trilogy stands out. Casting, soundtrack, picturization, story, sets, everything was perfection! That sort of perfection is so rare. The way you feel after watching this trilogy, no other Batman or superhero movie will ever achieve.
As much as anyone might differentiate between a trilogy and a "shared universe", Marvel absolutely wound up with the former in the MCU. They may be continuing in their phases, but there are enough milestones in their own meta-story to categorize Phases 1, 2, and 3 as its own super trilogy. The thing about consuming a story is that a self-contained tale with a definitive ending to any significant degree will always resonate with readers, viewers, and gamers.
Because the documentary whould have had to be stretched out another 3 or 4 hours. There is SO MANY amazing things to be said about hans zimmer's score in these movies.
Finally a man of culture! I was looking for this comment. A word for Zimmer wouldn’t have costed them an hour, if they could run some unknown guy auditioning who wasn’t even in the movie anyway later on.

I truly have a greater appreciation for this trilogy the older I get and the more I learn. “We weren’t making a Batman movie…we were making a Chris Nolan movie”🤯🤯🤯
I was always a huge Batman fanatic. I grew up with the animated series, the Burton films, comics and graphic novels. I beyond appreciate what Nolan did with Batman Begins. I left the cinema in awe with how much of an impact the film had on me. Not because it was an incredible Batman film, but just because it was an incredible film in general. I was always a movie buff growing up, but Nolan definitely opened my mind up to story-telling. I remember when he announced that he would release The Dark Knight in IMAX and that’s how he wanted the film to be seen. I had never payed any mind to that before, but then I began to research diligently to find a theater that would play it in 70mm IMAX film. It was the most incredible cinematic experience I’ve ever had. I walked out of the cinema saying “that’s probably my favorite movie of all time”. Saw it two more times in the days following. 10 years later I got a Heath Ledger Joker and Bale Batman tattoo because the impact the film had on me never diminished. I’ve also followed Nolan’s work non-stop and I’ve gone out my way to see all of his films on actual film projected cinemas. Thank you Mr. Nolan for this incredible trilogy and immersing us in all of the incredible worlds you’ve created!
I mean, it depends how literal you want to go with that. If you're talking about toys and whatnot, okay, but it's still very much about making money. That is the #1 operating principle of any movie studio, even WB at the time of these. So it's not like there's some broad purity with which any company can stand above another. Mind you I don't say this as a sort of criticism against WB and for these films, I'm a huge Christopher Nolan fan and loved his Batman trilogy (well the ambition more with #3 than its actual quality). It's easy to forget the massive trepidation and doubt that was surrounding the whole Marvel thing when they started. But when it proved so successful and a trajectory was established I can't really blame Disney for indulging into that anscillary market, it's not like having some toy line had the films themselves be sacrificed.
Yes they are. There are a lot of movies that I grew up watching during my childhood but the dark knight trilogy was the crown jewel and childhood treasure. All three are one my favorite movies of all time.
Gary Oldman nailed that role, and the dynamic/relationship between Gordon and Batman was written and portrayed so masterfully. What a great charcter arc on it's own. Each of Batman's/Bruce's relationships in the trilogy are so well fleshed out, you really get to know these characters. Like they said in this documentary, The Dark Knight Trilogy transcends being just a comic book movie, it truly is a masterpiece of film.

@@sammyhax oh him too. Michael Caine delivered and emotional performance and through him we got to see a dynamic between Bruce and Alfred that we've never seen before on screen. Nolan really utilized Alfred's character, not just as a butler, but as a mentor. Alfred was the only family Bruce had left in the world, the only one who understood him as a human being, not as an heir to a corporation. And in this trilogy he was more than just a loyal servant. Before Ras A Ghul he was the person who taught Bruce what a true legacy was and how to look beyond himself to turn into something better than he was. That is why he is so great in this story.

Definitely going to rewatch the trilogy this weekend. Thank you Chris Nolan, Cast and Crew. We appreciate everything you’ve done for the character and for Superhero Films in general. Nolan changed the game completely.
I'd say he's a narrative mathematician who knows how to use that skill to emotional effect. The thing he's mathematical about is constructing these puzzle-box narratives with all these different layers, all these philosophical ideas being wrestled with in a way that's fascinating and exciting. He knows how to layer emotional depth into that, which is what makes his films succeed. But emotion isn't the part he's being mathematical about. I'd say Marvel movies are closer to that, where they figure out how to make all the Avengers have interesting dynamics with each other while still driving the main story forward and keeping things lighthearted and funny.
I think thats the main problem with his films. There's no emotional connection in his films. Honestly Iron Man 1, Spider-man 2, Logan and Joker are much better than The Dark Knight. Nolan better make character driven films like Prestige again instead of making one-dimensional character driven films with plot holes.
When he strikes out with emotional connection he really strikes out (Tenet, anyone???) And he's clearly a filmmaker who's more interested in imagery, structure, and tone than in connecting you with a character's experience. There's always this sense that things are whizzing by and we're never just 'sitting' with any one character and really getting inside their head. But Dark Knight has incredible emotion: the Joker is a paragon of chaos, his madness and total lack of rules keeps you in so much fear. Don't tell me that film's not driven by a character, that character just isn't the protagonist!

Nolantards learn character driven films I see what your saying, but Batman’s number one rule is no killing. It’s okay to make unique versions of the character but you still have to follow certain things that make the character what it is.
Wally Pfister's cinematography deserves special mention I think. The visuals throughout all three films get increasingly brilliant, somehow blending grand and intimate, authentic and gothic, seedy and lavish, and grimy and sleek all at once. I particularly love the neon-tinted nighttime car chases, and all the aerial IMAX shots too. That one hovering over the New York skyscrapers in Rises looks like something out of a documentary. Oh and the one in TDK of batman on the ledge of the tower with the blue background is spectacular.
This line at the end of this FANTASTIC documentary is really inspiring me in my own craft. I may not be in the movie making business, but this surpasses industry right here. I never heard the Del Toro quote of "Emotional Mathematics" to describe Nolan. I feel that sums up the experience of his movies so perfectly. Putting the Joker, without makeup in that military lineup was really brilliant. It showed he wasn't really a crime boss and would do the work that had to be done, himself.

I can’t wait to be a father one day so I can show this trilogy to my kids. It’s aged like fine wine
exactly what i was thinking xD
In the coming years all of the Nolan movies will be masterpiece
Prestige
The Batman Trilogy ( especially The Dark Knight )
Inception
Interstellar ( It will be such a masterpiece in time, you can't imagine )
Dunkirk
And when they're old enough show them joker(2019)..A masterpiece like Nolan's trilogy
darsh rakshit Deffinitely when they are old enough man! Seen that movie so many times. Easily one of my favourites
Definitely going to rewatch the trilogy this weekend. Thank you Chris Nolan, Cast and Crew.
We appreciate everything you’ve done for the character and for Superhero Films in general. Nolan changed the game completely.
The Nolan trilogy was simply way ahead of its time. Such a lovely piece of art ✨
Guillermo del toro : Christopher Nolan is an "Emotional Mathematician"
What a beautiful quote 🙂
I'd say he's a narrative mathematician who knows how to use that skill to emotional effect. The thing he's mathematical about is constructing these puzzle-box narratives with all these different layers, all these philosophical ideas being wrestled with in a way that's fascinating and exciting. He knows how to layer emotional depth into that, which is what makes his films succeed. But emotion isn't the part he's being mathematical about. I'd say Marvel movies are closer to that, where they figure out how to make all the Avengers have interesting dynamics with each other while still driving the main story forward and keeping things lighthearted and funny.
Got me too
I think thats the main problem with his films.
Fans: "We never said Thank You for the Dark Knight Trilogy. "
Nolan: "And you'll never have to. "
#THANKYOUNOLAN
This film ruined many other superhero films. Hacks like Snyder tried to copy it without putting in the care and love that made these films special. #THANKYOUNOLAN
well played.
My eyes got a bit watery now...
@@yousirareahypocrite4464 Nolan Batman movies are great because he played it safe by following silly comic book rules like no killing.
Nolan never attempts to make anything wierd not even try to do something like Lady Killers/Shazam. He never comes out of his safe zone.
Snyder atleast tried to do something different, it didn't work it's fine.
In my opinion, Christian Bale is THE best Batman EVER.
DEFINITELY
ITS LITERALLY FAXS
YES!!
I respectfully disagree, Kevin Conroy is the best Batman, but Bale definitely gets a close second
The problem in real life a pedofile
"Emotional mathematics" is such a perfect description of Nolan's work
Guillermo is an extremely intuitive and intelligent man. He has a way with words.
The Dork Knight is still the best Batman movie in the entire TDK trilogy.
@@ashokkumarganesan3927 arguably the best superhero movie ever!
Sorry Ledger
Tony Leung in Shang Chi >>> Ledger's Joker
Same with Hans Zimmer’s music
This line at the end of this FANTASTIC documentary is really inspiring me in my own craft. I may not be in the movie making business, but this surpasses industry right here.
"If you're out on the cutting edge, you can deliver a product that people can sit in a dark room and appreciate and react very positively to, and so few critics will get it... it won't necessarily get the historical regard it's due until some time has gone by. If you're motivated by the work, you'll manage to keep it in it's proper place. I mean people will be watching The Dark Knight films 20 years from now. Time renders justice to quality."
Absolutely timeless and epic. Chris Nolan will go down in cinematic history as one of the greatest visionaries to contribute to the medium.
Music defines ALL of the emotion and Hans Zimmer deserved recognition for his amazing scores.
I was never a fan of Batman till I watched this trilogy. The set up, the actors, the story, the atmosphere, the ost...everything is AWESOME.
And I started getting the comics too. A recopilation of the best of the best.
Thanks to all these people who worked so hard to make this happen.
This, I can relate to this, I discovered that I was a DC and Batman fan after watching this trilogy.
except for the actress they used for cat woman. when I saw who they where passing off as cat woman it was kind of embarrassing. It felt forced and cheesy to pass that actress as cat woman.
The Dark Knight truly is the Michael Jordan of superhero films. I remember walking out of the theater thinking,I may never see a superhero film that great ever again. I returned to the theater again 2 weeks later with my brother and his girlfriend
And we won't see it again for a veeeeery long time
@@definitelynosebreather Joker and The Batman were both great
This was a masterpiece of Trilogy. Each movie stands in its own. I wish they gave some credit to the music and Hans Zimmer as well here because the music also played a massive role in setting the tone and emotion of every scene
Man I had no idea Guillermo del Toro was such a fan of this trilogy and Nolan's work. That's so wholesome.
This trilogy influenced a lot of movies nowadays, you can really tell that, from the MCU to The James Bond movies mostly Skyfall, Blade Runner 2049, it's indeed a gamechanger even Del Toro said that The Dark Knight was a influence of his Pacific Rim
I actually did my thesis for filmschool on dark knight. It is visually one of the best movies EVER!! The way it is filmed, cut, written and scored
I really like to read that , if you may
What grade did you get on the assignment?
I don’t know if I still have it. The harddrive it was on crashed years ago :’( and it was I think my second or third year
I love movies and there are very few I would ever deem a perfect film, but Dark Knight is one of them. As you stated, the writing, cinematography, the score, the pacing - it was perfect for me.
I think you like Batman a little too much...Did a thesis on the Dark Knight in film school. Now you're a Stripper called Raven.
The Dark Knight Trilogy is above Marvel, above DC, above all comic-book based movies and superhero films. It's an art which raised the bar and set some standards.
And in my opinion sam raimi’s spider man was a big game changer too
@@tarikkovacevic6103 The second One
@@arlesiofernando6317 i think it is the first one because it came before batman begins but i respect your comment
youre talking big the comics are still better even if this trillogy is the best movie there is absolutly nothing better than the comics. but yeah aside from them all films are not better than this. this is DC it cannot be above itself.
This may contradictory to my last comment but are you going to forget about Logan? That movie was a masterpiece
il never forget watching the dark knight for the first time. as a true movie lover i was completely blown away, this is truely one of the best movies ever made
I’m not a comic book film fan nor I read any of it, but Nolan and Batman were the reason I turned out to be a DC fan. I’ve now spent more time in studying, and understanding what the BATMAN character represents. And it turned out to be my favorite persona of all time. Batman was one who literally pulled me out of my bullied life, and inspired me to be a brilliant engineer.
man, what an amazing sentiment. may this legend continue to inspire you in your older years
DC doesn't have their own studio like Marvel Studios
WB have to make them
How pathetic
I've been watching these movies my whole life and one thing I've always felt that is that they would not be the masterpieces they are without the soundtrack
The soundtrack itself is a masterpices
@@C65kof Facts! I still get emotional hearing this very powerful music! It took me back to my childhood with gladiator movies, The Gods, and magic! It's great! ;-)
This trilogy will, forever and always, be the turning point for the superhero genre in film.
And it will ALWAYS have a space on my shelf... and in my soul.
I never in my life experienced the euphoria of imagination watching the Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy , and I’ve never felt this way about any cinematic experience since , just pure bless , I was deep inside the Batman fantasy , just can’t thank the artistry behind the scenes of every one involved in making a once in a lifetime cinematic experience.
Heath Ledger's Joker is the greatest villain of all time
Nope
Nope. Frank Booth is.
Shane Canning Understandable, have a nice day
Seriously kinda disgusting how they downplay his role just lumping him in with the other villains toward the beginning of this documentary..when you think of the dark knight it's not Batman who comes to people's minds first...love Bale but Ledgers impact is unrivaled in the Dark Knight and he had that impact in just one film.
Or is he the hero? Saving the city from Batman?
Guillemoro del Toro has such a way with words, he's such an incredible and talented director
Why wasn't Hans Zimmer mentioned at all? He had such a huge role to play with these films! Without his scores, the films seriously wouldn't have had the same effect!
came here to say the same thing, I thought this was a fantastic documentary but not hearing from Hans Zimmer leaves a pretty gaping hole in it!
@@sheawilliamgalley9608 And 99.99999% don't know who James Newton Howard is
I actually felt the impact of Zimmer because his score was used throughout the documentary, which communicates how vital was his contribution. Anyone who LOVES FILM knows the importance of sound/score & has certainly heard of Zimmer.
Del Toro is a LEGEND and Nolan. The passion both show for their art is BRILLIANT. Gives you hope knowing theres still a few Great Directors out there.
Best scores ever imo
It's really throwing me off that Jonathon and Christopher are brothers when they have different accents XD
Truly the phineas and ferb of our generation
I don't understand this. Not all siblings/family grow up together until they are adults and it's really not that surprising when they have different accents :\
@@nuvjoti HA
@@nuvjoti Why did i never realize that about that show? Lol
If that throws you off wait until you learn that their other brother is a contract killer.
Grew up with these movies and had the luck to see each one of them on theaters. I can't express enough how much of an influence this had in my life, I hold this trilogy pretty close to my heart.
Who else liked before watching
The video, yes, and also liked this comment b4 watching, i suggest everyone do the same

An idiot like you maybe..
Don’t be rude
1 hours plus of director, cast, crew (and other writers/directors too) talking about the making of the Dark Knight Trilogy...with Hans Zimmer score playing constantly. Epic.
The Dark Knight Trilogy will always remain my one of the best trilogies of all time and my favorite Christopher Nolan movie.
Me as well. TDKR then TDK then BB.
Inception, Interstellar and Tenet has entered the conversation
They're great "idea" movies, but not better than The Dark Knight trilogy.
The Dark Knight is the best... just because of Heath Ledger's Joker
For me the greatest movie series ever made !!! I love everything about these movies !!! Nolan is d greatest director / filmmaker ever !!!
The Dark Knight Trilogy was a masterpiece
Period.
only thing I wish was we got a 4th film spin off with bruce still as batman and nightwing aka this universe's robin john blake joseph gordon levitt's character and catwoman vs like penguin poison ivy and riddler and maybe harley quinn...how cool would that be?..and of course scarecrow has to cameo at the end ...come on its tradition
In the casting, when that actor says "Swear to me" you can tell he's not right. Compare that to Christian Bale's delivery of that line. He's like a furious monster when he says it.
I understand people’s hatred of Bale’s Batman’s voice, but I understood why he did it and it’s part of what makes his Batman memorable
@@samfisher170 to me it made sense, so I didn't even think about it
@@Mixu. agreed, i thought it was perfect.
@@samfisher170 I don't think it's so much about hating it, although some do. I think it's more because it's such an iconic portrayal, it makes it easy and fun to meme. It's the same situation with the voices and portrayals of Tom Hardy's Bane and Heath Ledger's Joker. Iconic. I guarantee, nobody will ever forget those voices and they will be mimicked for decades or longer.
how lucky we all are that Christopher Nolan decided to direct this series, even luckier WB went with him while still fairly unknown and unproven
Still Nolan makes movies for mass' however Zack Snyder movies aren't for everyone he is making art
What annoys me is they didn't have this exact faith in Snyder despite being a proven director. Even going as far as actively trying to sabotage him.
Honestly after watching Joaquin's performance in Joker movie, I have come to realise how mediocre Heath Ledger's performance is.
@@ashokkumarganesan3927 lol so wrong
You couldn't be more wrong about heath's joker
I never heard the Del Toro quote of "Emotional Mathematics" to describe Nolan. I feel that sums up the experience of his movies so perfectly. It also encapsulates why some love his movies, and others find them cold. Some expect just emotion, others just want clinical, technically perfect films (e.g. Kubrick). Nolan blends the two, but isn't perfect at either. However, for a large number of people (including myself) it's a great blend
heath ledger joker was so iconic i still watch the movie from time to time just to see his performance it will never be repeated again......
I agree
I was 8 years old when Batman Begins came out and watching it in the theater with my dad. Now I’m 23 and still love the trilogy to this day.
Thank you Chris Nolan for the Dark Knight Trilogy 🦇🦇🦇
Great stuff. Your Dad has taste kid. I was 24 and felt like I was 8.lol. id waited 8 years since '97 for this movie,to right the wrongs.
I saw Batman Begins in Dubai. It was awesome in their big theater.
An artist who puts finely crafted great details together to become the greatest piece. Nolan is not a filmmaker, he is a legendary artist.
This Trilogy remains, to this day, the best thing to have ever happened to #Batman as it relates to #DC's massive storytelling failures. This is the only product that has done justice to my favorite superhero ever!
Is it weird this is the only movie that gives me goosebumps and stir emotions , a masterpiece
I studied Fine Arts, Animation, Film. Graphic Arts and other subjects including Art History and one is offered a myriad of definitions which attempt to answer the question, 'WHAT IS ART?". The definition I love most & believe to be true is "Art is that which provokes STRONG EMOTION*" This might be strongly positive (or conversely strongly negative emotion...but emotiok nonetheless. ARTISTS...in FILM, VIDEO game design, any of the Fine Arts, Animation, sound engineering, cinematography, film scoring, acting, (and all of the myriad of collaborative contributions to such FILMS), trade paperbacks, novels, directing, (etcetera) INFUSE their work with EMOTION: UNFEIGNED, genuine and authentic emotion. Such emotion injected into various projects, EVOKES in their audience STRONG EMOTION(S). If an actor FEELS NAUGHT during their performance (and is but feigning an emotion), it falls FLAT as it is but a "performance". ACTORS, DIRECTORS, and others who are authentically and genuinely passionate about their respective crafts create ART which MOVES us & resonates with TRUTH. it's a wonderful contribution to culture & the human condition. Or so I believe. BRILLIANT ARTISTIC individuals create what others in their fields CAN NOT: ART.
Amazing. I love Nolan's use of practical shots over CGI, that sets him apart from a lot of creators in this genre.
