You know Tom Hardy is a phenomenal actor when it's been almost a decade since this film was released - at the time of this comment - and I still can't believe it's him under the mask. As as for the voice, physique and the overall performance, this Bane is easily the Darth Vader of modern cinema.
I think the Darth Vader turtle has gone to Thanos before it was the Joker and Bane tho. But looking back at this movie Bane was truly no joke, dude was a full on ruthless terrorist. He literally identified the doc and bomb and proceeded to to kill the only person that was able to disarm it.

One points out to the other that Bruce coming back could move the stock either up or down, so what makes his friend so confident in a short? The friend replies, "I flipped a coin."
That stadium scene is so unrealistic. People aren't trampling each other while running away selfishly. This is not an accurate depiction of us humans...
I love the ever changing geography of Gotham. In the first movie, it was clearly based on Chicago. But at 2:05, they don't even try to pretend that isn't New York, given they left the half built One World Trade Centre in the shot.
Damn, I was 11 when I watched it. It's the first Batman movie I've ever watched in cinemas. Now I'm 20 and I watched The Batman, the second Batman movie I watched in cinemas (not including BVS and Justice League).
As a person close to the city of Pittsburgh, it does make me smile they chose Pittsburgh as the setting of Gotham City, had some of the Pittsburgh Steelers roster team at the time cameo as a fictional Gotham City football team, and had Heinz Field (never calling it by its new name) blow up with Hines Ward making a touchdown.
Most epic self-report ever. And the best part was that Bane managed to keep himself from getting ejected by giving Talia the reactor meltdown and saying someone else in the stack was also sus.
A lot of people don’t know this, but the segment of this scene where the football field is detonated and the players all fall into the pit was completely improvised. Christopher Nolan had originally scripted the terrorists to go out into the field and hold the football players at gunpoint, but Tom Hardy thought that it would add a layer of debt for his character to blow up the entire field. Christopher Nolan was so impressed with the shot of the one surviving player that he kept it in the film.
Lmao, imagine there was no microphone that was found,Bane would've walked out to the field awkwardly unable to speak to every person from the distance. What's amazing is the football player still scored a touchdown on the verge of death, now that has got to be the best/craziest touchdown ever!

This movie sadly doesn’t get the credit it’s due for being an amazing fucking film because of how good the dark knight was and heaths passing effectively immortalizing his performance and that film as one of if not the greatest super hero film ever but this movie was incredible and deserves to be heralded as such if it wasn’t negatively affected by the second installment of this trilogy
Knowing that Christopher Nolan is a man of practical especial effects, I still wonder to this day how in the world he managed to pull off all the high budget explosions in this scene and throughout the movie in general

This movie sadly doesn’t get the credit it’s due for being an amazing fucking film because of how good the dark knight was and heaths passing effectively immortalizing his performance and that film as one of if not the greatest super hero film ever but this movie was incredible and deserves to be heralded as such if it wasn’t negatively affected by the second installment of this trilogy

Knowing that Christopher Nolan is a man of practical especial effects, I still wonder to this day how in the world he managed to pull off all the high budget explosions in this scene and throughout the movie in general
