No deleted scenes. That’s somewhat disappointing I really wanted to see Leia deleted scenes or more even though i love this film

There are no deleted scenes for Leia, there is a very limited number of scenes, lines and scenarios that cam be filmed. There are even cases where whole scenes were added TO FIT a slice of dialogue from Leia, as to not waste it
Not to mention the hateful backlash surrounding potentially cut content, it would be unwise to give fire to people that claim that this scene or that would've improved the movie
Be patient more releases to be released by years end.

mate great to see you loved the movie, there are others who loved this movie and i am one of them, i just wished disney didnt force them to reduce the movie from 165 min to 142 min, they wanted a shorter movie, but still loved what we got.

I’m not digging the US 4K cover. Looks more like an exclusive slip or SteelBook cover. I’m dying to pick up the Skywalker set from Best Buy. Hopefully it’s not limited.
I think (and hope) they're gonna pull a Once Upon a Time in Hollywood where the slipcover image is just on the slipcover, and the regular blu-ray cover is on the 4k case itself.

1-3 is gonna be a whole lotta upscaling, unfortunately. As much as the sequels blow, their 4K releases are more justified. The OT will be awesome though, of course.
The STAR WARS movies should have some Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital combo packs with the 2-disc Blu-Ray, 2-disc DVD, and Digital Copy with lots of cool bonus features!

I honestly enjoyed The Rise of Skywalker more than I did with The Last Jedi. I bought the Skywalker Saga box set on 4K awhile back so I’ll be getting this film regardless and I do plan on buying both the Steelbook and the regular 4K Edition.
Also, off topic here but do you plan on watching the new season of The Clone Wars that’s coming out this Friday? The animation looks stunning.
I've only ever watched like 1 or 2 seasons of the original series, so likely won't be watching the new one anytime soon.
Mr Mario I did see it theaters, but I could’ve seen it again in IMAX 3D but I saw it once but without the 3D which wasn’t quite the experience for me...

I will get the 3Dversion for my collection, but the sequel Disney Trilogy was the worst of the three. I still like the Original trilogy the best.
As a UK resident I pre-ordered every single UK release of the movie as a Star Wars home video collector and I also pre-ordered (on Christmas Day) The Amazon exclusive 4K Skywalker saga box set.
So if I run that down that is
Blu-ray x2 (resistance and first-order slipcovers)
Blu-ray 3D
4K
Standard and collectors steelbooks (4K and 3D)
I’ve also got the Sky Store digital copy on pre-order with the DVD along with the iTunes digital copy.
Again with the Amazon exclusive (Best Buy for the US) Skywalker saga 4K box set.
I’ll be curious however to see if we end up getting Rogue one on individual 4K on April 20.
The DVD and standard Blu-ray box sets for the skywalker saga I will get a later date however.

Saw it four times in the theater. Thanks for the breakdown. I had to order the Target exclusive 4k and the Zavvi 3D. Last time I ever buy any home releases I hope. Reminds me off buying Rogue One. Target Exclusive 3D and just bought the 4k, took out the DVD threw it in the trash and placed the 4K disc inside. Ahhhhhh Feels SO GOOD...all in 4K now.....and all the 3D available too.
Here in the US, I'll be picking up the Target edition on day one (mostly for the bonus disc). For the sake of having a version with the poster art on it, I might import a standard UK 4K at some point, but I'm not sure.

I had the 4K box set ordered at Zavvi, but have cancelled and gone for the standard 4k steelbook instead. It does look good, but I just couldn't justify the double price - and other special editions I have got from Zavvi (Spider-Man FFH and Avengers End Game) were disappointing in person.

I own a Disney + subscription. That is how I'll own The Rise of Skywalker. If it takes a while to arrive to D+, then I will wait. If there was a home release of the JJ cut, then I would purchase it on disc.

I preordered the steelbook months ago (as I have the previous movies in that edition), but today I just ordered the walmart edition as well. I was tenting on the target , but the walmart one won me over.
The Skywalker Saga on 4K is currently sitting at £199 - which is an awful lot. I’m hoping this price comes down!

Extremely disappointed to see no audio commentary as this is the main reason I like forward to the home release of movies.
I know, I had to buy 2 copies of the TFA because I collect steelbooks but also wanted the audio commentary. Not very happy to have to do that again.

personally if australia got the steel book edition with both blu ray and 4 k thats the one ill be getting, i got the steel box for last jedi and solo, missed out on rogue one as i wasnt interested at the time due to not really liking the movie and force awakings, i quite enjoyed the rise of skywalker and will be adding it to my other star wars movies blu ray collection in which be all 11 movies when i buy rise of skywalker
there is rumors going around that directors extended cut could be coming soon or j.j cut
I highly doubt that rumour is anything more than that, there's a lot of that kind of thing floating around about this movie and people like to just make stuff up, particularly in the SW fandom. Disney aren't big on director's cuts (I don't know if they've ever done one) but I'd bet a large amount of money that it wouldn't happen.
Any word on The Rise of Skywalker MoviNex Japanese Blu-ray Premium Box?
I gotta say the US/Aus 4K cover is my least favourite by a mile, so that stinks. The Target is definitely my favourite but I'm not going to spend that much importing it since I'm pretty mixed on the movie. At this point I'll probably just get the steelbook since the cover is fine but not amazing imo and I have the first two in SB, but if Sanity did that exclusive cover for the 4K and not just the BD I'd jump on that in a heartbeat.

There’s word of a Blu-ray boxset only. But no word currently on a 4K set.
The 4Ks will be released individual in matching artwork.

Honestly couldn’t say. I think there’s a possibility we could get the big 4K boxset - but with just Blus and not 4Ks. Same as what they did with the Infinity War boxset over here.

"Ultimate" is just the banner Disney stick on their 4K sets. There is absolutely no difference between the discs in that and the Target set.

Pleasure! Yep, literally the only difference between the editions is packaging. Except, of course, the Target set has that extra disc.

UK cinema laws dictate a movie needs to stay in cinemas at least 4 months before it gets a physical release. In the US and most of the rest of the world, it’s only 3

Rise of skywalker is gonna be awesome on blu ray . I’ll be watching it 45 times as I did with the force awakens. The last Jedi I’ll keep watching it
