I bought this template Yesterday! Worth every penny!! - but I really confused by the difference between life buckets and workspaces, and what’s the difference is for notes and resources? - do you want to make a video on how you use it your self, maybe with the thought in mind to use more synonyms ore different explanations? - I think the language differences can make it a bit hard to fully understand the meaning of everything :) But all in all a really great template!!!!
What I understand is that life buckets are different aspects of your life, whereas workspaces are more like the current context or area you are focused on.
Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away. And I think your template comes close to being the perfect second brain Notion template that has helped me organise myself in all areas (life buckets). Honestly, I am so happy I found Headquaters!
This is really nice and well done, but I do wish there was a goal management section. Such as 3 goals for the year, then broken down into quarterly, monthly, weekly (whatever) tasks or projects that you can make progress on along the way. Then each month and/or quarter, review the progress, what went well, what didn't, etc.
He's said in a previous video he sees Goals and Projects as the same thing. If you are working towards something it would be considered a project regardless of how long it would take.
I have come across countless templates all over Gumroad, Etsy etc. None of them actually work practically. They all seem to make things very complicated. I bought your template yesterday and honestly, I can say this is probably the most action oriented and clean setup. My productivity depends on having a bird's eye view of my tasks and buckets - all in one place. This setup solves that. Excited to make this my day-to-day palnner! Hope this gets more attention. Deserves so much more. Great job!
This came in at cosmic timing. I had set out to create a productivity system of the ages but this just dwarfs anything I could've come up with. Only some slight asks : How would one go about connecting reading apps to this ? Like readwise and kindle ? (I'll see if I can do that, shouldn't be too hard) I've also been making use of habitica for pure habit tracking it would be nice to integrate that somehow. That's the plan anyways. I really like the obsidian makes a web for all your ideas and connections I hope notion adds that someday. OH, whilst I'm spitballing. I kind of abandoned todoist just now. You can easily build it in notion and hiding notifications behind a paywall is kind of crazy. One thing I do love about it is the graph. Now streaks aren't that important, they can be slightly toxic but they are fine. What I appriciate is the graphs. Love graphs man, it would be sublime to have Data visualisations. Imagine with the fitness section it takes your workout regiment into account and you can display how many pushups you did total. Kinda like seeing your stats in a game [27 workouts completed this Month | 90 000 calories consumed | 1.24kg gained] or just like [156 task completed this month] You can see why I like habitica. All this seems like a surrogate activity though, I can't even imagine how to build this. I gotta make use of formulas and stuff to make loading bars and such sheesh. Overcomplicating it before I even begin. That said I'll just adopt yours and build out slowly. Only annoying part is that I have to revamp/reorganise my old system to fit in yours. Thank you for all of your hard work, I've been at this fully for like 4 days in a row and hardly got anywhere relevant. I can only imagine the hours of study, research, course taking and experimentation all this took. Can't wait to maximalise it (I love minimalism as much as the next guy but I need strong visual cues), its going to be a good procrastination session setting all this up in notion.
5 Stars! Step 1: Purchase the template BEFORE you watch the video. Step 2: Duplicate the template and integrate with your account. Step 3: Watch the video while he walks you through your new life changing tool! >>> Review: Amazing. This template is exactly how I think. It covers everything. Oh...and you nailed the video - a users' dream. Well done and thank you!
Attention: Notion Calendar won't add the tasks to the calendar since the database doesn't have a Calendar View on the root database. To fix that, open the "My Task List" source database page and just add a calendar view. Just did that and it worked for me.
I feel motivated as soon as I hear your voice. Is this the operant conditioning you were talking about in an earlier video?! 😂 I have bought Headquarters, and it's amazing! Thanks for the refresher on how to take advantage of it as I haven't been using the journaling feature or the time tracking feature!
Thanks a lot for sharing, I have build my own CMS a long time ago and added a few of your concepts. Especially like the "ideal week" and "move the needle". Real problem solvers!
If you assign a Life Bucket tag to a Project, shouldn't Notion remember this relationship and therefore autopopulate the Life Bucket column when assigning a new task to a certain project (which we've already linked to a life bucket)? Seems bucket tags need to be entered manually every time a task is entered, even after we tell Notion which project it belongs to. It would be amazing if Projects remembered what bucket(s) they are assigned to so that the Bucket column is filled automatically when the task's project is assigned! It would also be great because if they were linked, then whenever we change the life bucket (or add a second one) to a specific project, then that would also be reflected in the Bucket column for the tasks.
Great template! I am setting it up as I'm writing this comment. :) Quick question though, I have recurring tasks in my workflow. How do I implement them in your system?
100% it does. I used this working a 9-5 job, running a business, running this channel and all the personal life tasks. It's made to ensure everything works seamlessly together whilst still having their own workspaces :D
26:46 I feel like second brain is not the best title for this video it is more about personal task and project management. second brain means outsourcing especially the knowledge and making it persistent in a system so that you can revisit it easily. having a database with books to read is helpful but it doesnt assist you in "brain activity" unless you spend the main part of the day with reading and you really need something to keep track of. the important part is is not ticking off a status field from "to read" to "finished reading" but what knowledge do you take out of a book. i would expect a "notes" section to have exactly that knowledge.
hi. entered a project and the corresponding tasks in the project corresponding project page. Went to the tasks list database and assigned the corresponding life bucket... project was automatically filled. but in the project and bucket databases, the bucket and project relations don't fill up based on the task database. I assumed since everything is related, it would automatically be filled if one entry is made in one of the databases. please help...
I bought this a couple of days ago and it is so motivating to find something that someone has thoughtfully put together which is slick, clever but not overwhelming. Thank you! I have a couple of questions about how to personalise a few things. I have managed to do it with the buckets and workspaces and even added another "state" alongside Easy, Quick etc... but, for example, I want to add a section in the daily journal about how I ate each day (e.g. healthy, snacked too much, etc). Can you assist or is there someone I can email for a bit of techy help to figure it out? Also I'd like to work out how to add more habits than the 3 options that exist. Any help appreciated but I love the template and bought the playbook too!
Hey! Thank you so much for the purchase. To add to the daily journal, just click on the database dropdown (next to "new") and click on the 3 dots next to the Daily Journal. There you can edit the actual template :D To add more habits, just click on the same spot and add new template :D Then have your new habit there as a "template" :)
Hi, bought this template a few weeks ago and am very pleased. I do have a question, is there a way to create recurring tasks (for example, running each week on sunday or meditating etc.) in your template? thanks
I love this so much and just purchased it! Thank you! Is there a way to edit the new project template to auto-fill tasks that I always include? I'm finding myself re-entering the same 7 tasks for each client project and would love to streamline that if it were possible. Figured you'd know if there was a way :)
@5:50 you show that after clicking the little + symbol you can add a habit. A window opens and you can scroll down to select your habit (1, 2 or 3). However, in the template the option to select the habits does not automatically appear. You have to scroll down but there are no options. You have to click into the bottom section and then click delete until the cursor appears at the very top where you add the title. At that point, the options at the bottom suddenly appear. It's a minor thing but a bit annoying and distracting. Is this something we can just change in settings?
I’ve been binge watching you channel for a few days now! I’m excited to download this template and get organised. A couple questions: 1. I want to use this for work and life tasks. For certain work projects I have sub projects and for each one I may want to add notes like what I did to complete them, outcomes, meetings notes, links, etc. Currently i use them in a folder with multiple sub folders. Is there a way to do this on this template? I don’t want them to necessarily be associated to a task because I don’t want the notes to go away when I complete a task or a project. 2. For certain life tasks, I may want my partner to complete a task. Is there a way to add him to certain projects so he can also view outstanding tasks, and also create like a tag for him, so i can tag him to tasks he can complete? Thank you and great work!
Hey! I was thinking about organizing my day by time blocking projects instead of tasks. That would give me the option to schedule my day while allocating the right amount of work to put into each project. What do you thing about it? Do you have any suggestion to make this? Thank you! By the way Headquarter is amazing! Also, I think that resources and quick notes could also give a hint for new tasks. It would be amazing to have the "task tab" into those templates as well! Last thing, I promise: I was wondering if it's possible to relate a Resource to a Project, so that I can see it whenever I open a Project (as you do with notes)
I've already purchased about three of these and idk why I even clicked on the video but i'm SOOOOO glad I did. Bought my 4th and plan to use this one moving forward. The way your brain works like mine, is magical. Thanks so much for creating this!!! ❤
What’s the best way to use the “share to Notion” feature on mobile phone? My previous second brain stored it in an all notes database. This one seems to just want to add it at the end of the page of Headquarters, quick note etc.
hey@@trinaberks , so you can have the "Mobile HQ" page as a widget on your phone :) that way you can open it up instantly on your phone and don't have to scroll down :D
@@trinaberks since you are buying so many templates would you be willing to recoup some of your money by reselling this one to me?please help me out they 80 this costs is too much for me. In my country people don't make that much money. I saved up and can send $30 to you for it pls
Hi, i would like to get your template, but here are some Questions: -Im a D2D SalesMan, 1 - can i track My Work time, 2 - count how many doors i ring, day, week, Year 3 - count how many doors havent open 4 - on how many doors i closed a deal 5 - Vizualisation on a Graph 6 - Create a Project, like "closed 80 Deals a month" 7 - create a Task, by checking it, to count 1 point for " closed Deals" In the end its mostly about counting ;D I tried a Life Rpg Template for notion, but it didnt work for men. It was to Slow because of to many Databases, to complicated and sucked my time figuring it out. And to much Visualisation, which distracted more, then giving structured overview of a day and planing it. So, after seeing you Video, yours looks neat and isnt overloaded with Databases and unneccessary visualisation.
hey, honestly this probably isn't the best template for Door to Door sales. This is designed for personal productivity. I do have a waitlist on my Gumroad for a Sales Template though that would be perfect if you're interested. If I get enough sign ups I'll build that template :) Appreciate the kind words, but Headquarters is for personal productivity more than as a sales system
Hi! I am a student in my first year of college. This year has been very stressful and disappointing to me because I have always been a smart and successful student. At the end of the first semester in college on rock bottom, I found out I have ADHD and on top of that, I had no clue how to study and get my life back together. I have been trying to learn how to study and be productive for the last couple of months and I try a lot of stuff including therapy and medication. I know it is a process and I will become my best self one day. Actually, I really like your template, in fact, it is the best productivity system I have ever seen. I'm dying to try it but in my country, there is a high rate of inflation, and our money is worth 1/35 of a Dollar, so buying this template is not possible for me. Moreover, I am a student and it is not even a realistic dream for me. I really appreciate it if you want to help this poor little student:) Please please please
Hello! Love the content, I’m a Notion newbie, and binge watching your channel to get started. I wanted to ask if you were gonna drop an updated financial tracker template to implement the new features and simplified version for notion?
Really awesome video! Thank you for the efforts! One question out of curiosity. How do you handle tasks that won't be finished in one sitting/one day? Do you break them down to even smaller chunks/tasks or how do you track them across multiple days (and maybe even have a deadline)?
Thanks for the video bro! Great stuff. Quick Q. I notice you rarely, if ever use the Status property to organise projects or tasks. Whats the logic behind that decision??
Hi really enjoy your notion video and I have build notion setup just by watching your videos, thanks for making Notion simple for us. I have one request can you create one video on how to creation content creation planner in Notion? It will be very helpful.
My next premium template is actually a Content Creator template :) I think it's going to be the most genuinely useful content creator template out there by far tbh. I've put a lot of effort into it so far hahaha
When I try to add a new item to the week's tasks, this new item does not have the options on the bottom like you show here. Is something missing? Do I do something wrong?
@FrankVoce I had the same issue where I couldn't see the database templates at the bottom when I click add an item ("Habit 1, Journal Entry, Monthly Review" etc). @ProductiveSetups replied my email suggesting it's most likely my internet speed and I could use the work around by clicking the "New" button with the dropdown. I tried to troubleshoot and I highly doubt it's my internet speed since I have fiber (also check developer tools for network speeds, did Notion reset for Chrome browser by empty cache/hard reload) and I've opened other Notion database where I could see their templates just not ProductiveSetups second brain. Something else is off, I just don't know what... Greatly appreciate if anyone can share their thoughts since I really like ProductiveSetups approach of second brain where he centralize everything around the calendar. It's a minor inconvenience but nevertheless disappointing.
I finally figured it out. I must have accidentally changed the "New" drop down default. When I switch from "untitled" to "empty" now I see all the database templates that came with the database.
A question regarding the "Completed this Week" and "Needles this Week" in Journals (at 21:00): Do those actually stick to the week a journal was created? For example: If I look at a journal from three weeks ago, it shows me in "Completed this Week" the tasks that I completed this (current) week and not the ones that I completed three weeks ago. Is that right?
Hey nice video! I just downloaded notion today since I needed some to organize my notes and tasks and I found this video. Super cool sadly I didnt know it would cost something.. I am trying to build it myself and tweak it but I have to figure out the connecting stuff first... ehat is i5 he is using as "life buckets"? Is that a database or what part
Killer video templatel looks solid. Channel seems promising. I'm looking for a template more oriented towards the creative process of churning out outputs based on my inputs (Something to manage a newsletter and multiple social channel outputs) so this probably isn't for me but because you seem pretty efficient with this type of stuff wanted to leave that feedback, probably the next evolution of your templates, some sort of creator OS.
building a creator template for that as we speak :) this Headquarters template is for personal Productivity. I thought was most important tbh and would have the biggest ROI in someone's life. But yes, I'm building one specifically for content creators which will be my next big template :D
AAAHHH that sounds nice, im hoping it will integrate will with this template. Im deciding on purchasing this temp vs just one other option. Maybe I'll hold off to see what you have going on with the creator template because that may tip the scale in this direction@@ProductiveSetups
Great template, loved how simple and effective it is. Can you please share your thoughts on using it as a personal CRM? Say if we are reachnig out to a bunch of contacts for career growth. I am thinking on lines of creating resource for each contact, say with a resource type as contact, having a note for each resource to record status and then have usual tasks and projects to schedule communications. I dont see an easy way to track communicatin history witha particular contact apart from say, having a project for that contact or having notes attached to resource (contact created as a resource).
Hey, I actually created a free "personal CRM" template & build video the other day that would be perfect. 100% free. And you can download that for free / build it and use it inside of Headquarters
I personally have it connected with Notion Calendar, which then automatically turns that into minutes. My "time tracking video" shows how to implement that. Or (already built in) you just fill out the time manually :D
Awesome looking template. Just bought it. Quick question...we do client work and I'd love to know how you or anyone else thinks is the best way to add in clients so I can track projects, tasks and resources by client as well as create in depth notes such as client overviews and track client meetings and notes.
hey! great question. This is ideally set up for personal productivity but can definitely work. I would have your business be the "life bucket" then each client be a "project". Then you add client tasks to the associated project. You could do client meetings as "notes" and then they'll get stored on that page. Plus remember, on the Projects page you can add anything else you want :)
I bought this template the second I finished watching this clear and concise video. I only have one question (so far). How can I make my tasks recurring? Thanks for a completely useful way to use Notion.
It is a very interesting system, but I have a question: how do you manage delegated tasks. For example, if you have a team of several members and you are the boss.
Just watched the video and immediately had to download the template. Do you have any recommendations (if at all possible) to sharing tasks with another notion member? I work with a small team and would like specific workspaces to be shared. Thanks!
hey, thanks so much! This is more designed for personal productivity. I am currently building a team template that will be (in my opinion) the most advanced team template available by far. Stay tuned! :D
Beautiful!! But I'm having a hard time understanding the difference between "Business" "Job" an "Carreer". I mean, I understand what they mean but I'm having a hard time imagine what kind of task or project would I put on each
Hey :D thanks for downloading Headquarters! So it's more designed for personal productivity. But, you could if you wanted to, add a simple "person" property and then tag team members and use Headquarters almost like a business workspace instead :)
Thank you for your video! I have a question: Based on your Template I could I create some tasks that depend on other tasks to be finished ? Maybe by marking them or something?
Yes you could add a "dependancies" property in the Notion database. Or just add all the tasks to the relevant project & bucket and then tick them off in there :D
I immediately copied this Second brain by your guidance... Thank you so much, it was so helpful... I have experienced, during its creation, the huge efforts you must have put into it... Copying it took me hours... I wonder, how much hard work you must have put in during its creation, without guidance, that too from scratch. I have been binge-watching your videos lately, and they have been beneficial. Keep sharing. Thank You
@notionsetups any suggestions on how would be the ideal way to add a customer database and have it linked to the jobs or tasks requested by that customer? Plus it could also be linked to an invoicing system. Do you have any advice for this?
Great product, I’ve watched this video 3 times and slowly implementing. Question: i have multiple businesses so my question is can i make a duplicate of the business bucket so that i can select the right business for that task? Or would i filter the tasks and create a project for that business?
Hey! Great question. You just click "New Project" and all the settings get set up automatically. So all 3 businesses will have the tasks, notes and bottlenecks :D Or make these 3 "Life Buckets" and just click "new bucket" and then all that gets set up automatically as buckets :)
I purchased your template which is fantastic! But my task list is getting bigger and bigger as I capture every task I can. (like the GTD system). How do you deal with that? Where do you put the tasks that you want to deal with someday, but not now?
Hey 👋 thanks for the purchase 😊 I put those tasks in the "tasks with no date" tab. Then I can see all the things that haven't been scheduled yet and start moving them onto my calendar (based on its priority)
iPhone: download Notion app, edit home screen, tap the + button, from the widgets menu tap and search for Notion, tap edit widget and choose which page you would like the widget to display Android: download Notion app, on home screen long press the Notion app, then tap Widgets, drag the widget to your home screen, tap the widget and choose the page you'd like to display
I think it looks amazing but I have a question how can you make the calendar view show just this week's part I mean not all the month?. I appreciate your reply and guidance
Very nice update! Question1: can I use it as a buyer of the first version? Question 2: why tasks have to have a Bucket when I assign to a project from the certain bucket? Then I don’t want to duplicate the action to associate task with the bucket again🤷🏻♂️. Question3: why there are notes and resources as a separate databases? I found it quite confusing that I don’t know where I save what. As after moving from Evernote I used to use notes only. But maybe it has some reason which i don’t see 🙈✌️
Hey! totally fair questions :D 1. This is the same as the first version :) Just an updated video for 2024. 2. totally fair! sometimes tasks have buckets, but no project. or sometimes projects with no bucket. so it made sense to seperate them otherwise they'd always need both, even if it wasn't necessary :) 3. fair question! Notes are typically 1 time ideas that you want to jot down. Whereas Resources are stuff like Books, Videos, etc that you will want to come back to many times.
@@ProductiveSetups one more Question for weekly review. for example. the first week, u create a first weekly review and then a week later, u gonna create the second week weekly review too. so when we want to go back and review the the first week weekly review, the tasks is the same as the second week weekly review or each week's tasks is specific to each weeks (not change). Thanks
Question?? If I was to use Notion as my main database for everything, including my coursework that I know I will regularly need to refer back to year in year out for my work, if Notion decided to end this software. Is there an option to currently export the information somehow?? Does that make sense? I'm struggling to commit to Notion with this unknown.
hey :) No definitely recommend keeping everything in the 1 database. I actually have a seperate video on why all your calendars should be as 1 single calendar / database :)
Are the items on resources also shown in the projects / tasks? Or are notes shown only? I.e. your project "get a new" job - wouldn't it be very helpful to have also relevant resources linked there (article for best job seeking advices etc)?
Hey! good question. Just the notes are in there. Typically resources like books, webinars, etc will become too messy to have on each project & life bucket page so I thought it'd be best to just have notes. But you can see resources on the resources page and the topic of interest page :D
Well, I can understand your approach. But when dealing with my projects I really prefer to have my important resources at hand and not to open like a different category for it and search there and then jumping back in again. That is why I asked if those are also visible in pojects and buckets. If this will be done in a future iteration - then count me in as a buyer and supporter. Aside from that your template is great, but for me that feature would be crucial for a purchase. @@ProductiveSetups
I totally understand. It is easy to add resources to the Projects and Life Buckets template on download if that is something you want :) That way those who don't want it don't need it but it can always be added@@DonYox
I got the template today and have been working on it for hours. Might be a stupid question but I'm having trouble distinguishing between Workspaces and Life Buckets. Also it would be very helpful to have a tutorial for how to move my current projects, notes, etc. into this new area. I'm figuring it out slowly but guidance would be wonderful as I don't want to mess anything up haha. I can't wait to have it all organized. Thank you for this template it is so awesome 😍😍Worth the money.
hey! First off thank you, glad that you like it! But yes fair question. So Life Buckets is areas in your life. Workspaces are just ways of viewing specific data. It's taking info from your Life Buckets, Tasks, Journals, etc and showing them in specific use cases. Hope that makes sense! :D
All Notion templates are responsive, but even better; I've made a page called "Mobile HQ" which is like a lite version for the phone with only the must-haves for your mobile. You can then add that specific page as a widget to your phone :)
I purchased your headquarters template. Some of the features are not working as shown on this video. Is there an official I can contact you to resolve the matter?
When the project doesn't have a deadline and/or is not ongoing, but it's an outcome I'm interested in achieving at some point (within the next few weeks/months) 🙂.
One important question about my data. If in the future you update the template to version 2.0, what happens to the my data I inserted from version 1.0, will it remain intact?
Hey :) Yes I have a seperate video on how to do recurring tasks. No discount code for new subscribers though, sorry! It's a very competitive price though compared to other templates and has a lot more features and a better user interface :D
I wonder if it takes more time to fill out each tasks details than it takes to complete tasks labeled as "quick". 🤔 I do want to try using the "State" categories for my tasks and see if they help. Thanks!
haha maybe a 2 second task yes, but honestly once you've filled out the properties like three times you can then do it in like 2 seconds going forward as it becomes so habitual :)
Hey there, when i create a task, i do not see the Habit fields as well as Journal Entry, Weekly Review etc. I just have the task fields to fill, but can't quickly add the habit for example. Could you help out? Thanks. (I bought your template by the way)
Hey :) that's sometimes an internet speed thing. As a quick fix, just change the default template to be the "empty" option instead of "untitled" and it will work instantly :D
@@ProductiveSetups Hey again, i have another question, is it possible, when creating a task, and after selecting a Bucket, to only show the projects corresponding to this specific bucket? I haven't found a way and it gets really cluttered with all my different projects, would be a lot more organised if it showed only bucket dependant projects
Hi. Do you need Notion Plus to fully use this template? I'm a free user, and I bought this template and some automations seem not to be working properly. For instance, when I check one of the tasks it doesn't disappear, or when I add a not-urgent-not-important tasks they just get added above urgent and important ones.
I have watched a few of your videos. From what I can tell, your templates are geared towards ADHD which is good for our team but also seem to be specific for personal use. Can you please recommend a template that would work for a small team? Or if you do projects for hire, please let me know. We are in need of an expert to build a database for us.
I'm actually building a Team Template at the moment :) trying to figure out a way that is most accessible to all companies as all work quite differently
I bought Second Brain and I want to create recurring habit that will repeat every Monday. How can I do that. I'm able to create one habit but I couldn't figure out how to make it on repeat.
What do you do put tasks that are pending someone else’s input? (E.g. I wrote my draft, and now someone is reviewing it before they send it back to me process more.) Consider adding an area of things that are not directly on your plate, but not “checked off” either. If that didn’t make any sense, here’s a better explanation: ua-cam.com/video/dHjzcjppW80/v-deo.htmlsi=Nln3tBJ5r6jFKyO7
Hey, I've been using it for a long time (way before launch) and it's not slow for me. Some databases with hundreds of entries can take a second more to load if my internet is slow, otherwise it's still fast for me :)
hey! I have plenty of tutorial videos breaking down the different aspects of building a Notion second brain system from scratch if you want to build it yourself :) However, it would likely take quite a long time with all the different components, but still do-able
no plans on updating tbh. I've used it for a long time (since before launch obviously haha) and I don't see a need for any update soon. But, I am working on other premium templates :)
Whenever I click on the "+" button, add an item and scroll down I don't see the elements untitled, habit 1, habit 2, habit 3, journal Entry etc. How can I fix it? (ua-cam.com/video/z4Ce-IKXZhM/v-deo.html)
🚀Here's the link btw: productivesetups.gumroad.com/l/headquarters
Honestly, this is one of the best notion videos I have seen in a while. Keep up the good work! 🙂
appreciate it!
100% - and the template is actually relatable (pun intended)
I bought this template Yesterday! Can I get it
Legitimately learned a ton about Notion watching this, thank you.
This is literally the best - no fluff productivity guide for notion. I've tried 20 other videos, and this is the best.
thank you! really appreciate that :D
This is what I am looking for
He's said in a previous video he sees Goals and Projects as the same thing. If you are working towards something it would be considered a project regardless of how long it would take.
I have come across countless templates all over Gumroad, Etsy etc. None of them actually work practically. They all seem to make things very complicated. Hey can you share your mail id?
This came in at cosmic timing. I had set out to create a productivity system of the ages but this just dwarfs anything I could've come up with.
Only some slight asks :
How would one go about connecting reading apps to this ? Like readwise and kindle ? (I'll see if I can do that, shouldn't be too hard)
I've also been making use of habitica for pure habit tracking it would be nice to integrate that somehow.
Kinda like seeing your stats in a game [27 workouts completed this Month | 90 000 calories consumed | 1.24kg gained] or just like [156 task completed this month]
You can see why I like habitica.
Can't wait to maximalise it (I love minimalism as much as the next guy but I need strong visual cues), its going to be a good procrastination session setting all this up in notion.
man, I can't afford this nooo.
Soon.

Step 3: Watch the video while he walks you through your new life changing tool! >>> Review: Amazing. This template is exactly how I think. It covers everything. Oh...and you nailed the video - a users' dream. Well done and thank you!

Amazing combination of Notion + Productivity + teaching skills

Attention: Notion Calendar won't add the tasks to the calendar since the database doesn't have a Calendar View on the root database.
To fix that, open the "My Task List" source database page and just add a calendar view. Just did that and it worked for me.
@notionsetups
Can you fix/ change that in the template? As a beginner it is a bit overwhelming.
I feel motivated as soon as I hear your voice. Is this the operant conditioning you were talking about in an earlier video?! 😂
I have bought Headquarters, and it's amazing!

Is it possble to set habits as recurring tasks? Should I manually set them for every day of the week?
I love how organized this is! But I was wondering if this type of task management works with both personal growth tasks and my 9-5 work tasks?
Have you found a way to optimize this? I don't think the creator gives a hoot
hi. entered a project and the corresponding tasks in the project corresponding project page.
There you can edit the actual template :D
To add more habits, just click on the same spot and add new template :D Then have your new habit there as a "template" :)
Nice template. I loved the project template part! 14:11 What did you do to filters in template that it works automatically?
Good question! I might make a video breaking down filters more specifically as they can get quite confusing & elaborate :)
Hi, bought this template a few weeks ago and am very pleased. I do have a question, is there a way to create recurring tasks (for example, running each week on sunday or meditating etc.) in your template? thanks
yes there is! :D I have a video on my channel going through recurring tasks in Notion
Is this something we can just change in settings?
ah yes, the simple fix is to change the databases default from "untitled" to "empty" and then it will work :)

Hey can I ask you something? idk if you still see this message?
I’ve been binge watching you channel for a few days now! I’m excited to download this template and get organised. A couple questions:
6:37 when i click on + button its open but not see me the the habit immediately i need always to remove nothing to see it
Last thing, I promise:
I was wondering if it's possible to relate a Resource to a Project, so that I can see it whenever I open a Project (as you do with notes)
don't you think adding metadata to each and every task becomes a very high overhead?
I've already purchased about three of these and idk why I even clicked on the video but i'm SOOOOO glad I did. Bought my 4th and plan to use this one moving forward. The way your brain works like mine, is magical. Thanks so much for creating this!!! ❤
amazing! glad that I could help :D

Hi, i would like to get your template, but here are some Questions:
-Im a D2D SalesMan,
1 - can i track My Work time,
2 - count how many doors i ring, day, week, Year
3 - count how many doors havent open
4 - on how many doors i closed a deal
5 - Vizualisation on a Graph
6 - Create a Project, like "closed 80 Deals a month"
7 - create a Task, by checking it, to count 1 point for " closed Deals"
In the end its mostly about counting ;D
I tried a Life Rpg Template for notion, but it didnt work for men.

Hey :) thank you! I break them down into multiple tasks so I know exactly what to do that day
Thanks for the video bro!
Could you please email me a screenshot and I'll have a look :)

@@ProductiveSetups did you get it?
Does it send reminders? I'm an out of sight out of mind person 🙈 also, can I share tasks with my spouse? Aka a honey do list?
A question regarding the "Completed this Week" and "Needles this Week" in Journals (at 21:00): Do those actually stick to the week a journal was created?
For example: If I look at a journal from three weeks ago, it shows me in "Completed this Week" the tasks that I completed this (current) week and not the ones that I completed three weeks ago. Is that right?
[25:00] I am confused why "Add Gary as a Reference" is a Note and not a Task. What's the diff btw Task, Note, and Resource?
yes you're right, it was a bad example for the video. "Resumes convert better with references" would be a better note. :)

@@ProductiveSetups Thank you for the reply! I will be checking those out, I guess they can be integrated in to second brain template (this video one)?
Nice template! Purchased already. What do you use to actually timing your tasks?
I personally have it connected with Notion Calendar, which then automatically turns that into minutes. My "time tracking video" shows how to implement that. Or (already built in) you just fill out the time manually :D
Hey can I ask you something? idk if you still see this message?

Just watched the video and immediately had to download the template. Do you have any recommendations (if at all possible) to sharing tasks with another notion member? I work with a small team and would like specific workspaces to be shared. Thanks!

Great template. I miss a "Client" database tbh. I need to know who ask for that task or proyect.
So all 3 businesses will have the tasks, notes and bottlenecks :D
Or make these 3 "Life Buckets" and just click "new bucket" and then all that gets set up automatically as buckets :)
How come you dont use the PARA method? your thoughts behind the pros/cons of that?
I purchased your template which is fantastic! But my task list is getting bigger and bigger as I capture every task I can. (like the GTD system). How do you deal with that? Where do you put the tasks that you want to deal with someday, but not now?
Hey 👋 thanks for the purchase 😊 I put those tasks in the "tasks with no date" tab. Then I can see all the things that haven't been scheduled yet and start moving them onto my calendar (based on its priority)

I think it looks amazing but I have a question how can you make the calendar view show just this week's part I mean not all the month?. I appreciate your reply and guidance
hey :) thank you! In the database's menu you can select show calendar as month or week :D
But maybe it has some reason which i don’t see 🙈✌️
Hey! totally fair questions :D
1. This is the same as the first version :) Just an updated video for 2024.
2. totally fair! sometimes tasks have buckets, but no project. or sometimes projects with no bucket. so it made sense to seperate them otherwise they'd always need both, even if it wasn't necessary :)
3. fair question! Notes are typically 1 time ideas that you want to jot down. Whereas Resources are stuff like Books, Videos, etc that you will want to come back to many times.

For instance, when I check one of the tasks it doesn't disappear, or when I add a not-urgent-not-important tasks they just get added above urgent and important ones.
hi! no you don't need Notion Plus. hmm that's strange, could you email me a screenshot and I'll have a look as this hasn't happened with anyone else
Hey can I ask you something? idk if you still see this message?
I have watched a few of your videos. From what I can tell, your templates are geared towards ADHD which is good for our team but also seem to be specific for personal use. Can you please recommend a template that would work for a small team? Or if you do projects for hire, please let me know. We are in need of an expert to build a database for us.
I'm actually building a Team Template at the moment :) trying to figure out a way that is most accessible to all companies as all work quite differently
@ProductiveSetups do you know when it will be completed? I am looking for something asap
I bought Second Brain and I want to create recurring habit that will repeat every Monday. How can I do that. I'm able to create one habit but I couldn't figure out how to make it on repeat.
hey :) I have a seperate video all about recurring tasks in Notion databases :D Hope that helps!
Can you make tasks reoccurring in this template?
yes 100% :) I have a video on reoccurring tasks on my channel
Are you personally also using this template or are you using/making a new one?
I use this template in my life as well, no new template
What do you do put tasks that are pending someone else’s input? (E.g. I wrote my draft, and now someone is reviewing it before they send it back to me process more.) Consider adding an area of things that are not directly on your plate, but not “checked off” either.
If that didn’t make any sense, here’s a better explanation: ua-cam.com/video/dHjzcjppW80/v-deo.htmlsi=Nln3tBJ5r6jFKyO7
can i get discount for the template it expansive for me to buy
I wonder how would it scale up after using it for several years and wonder if it is going to get slow once you add a lot of data in it.
Hey, I've been using it for a long time (way before launch) and it's not slow for me. Some databases with hundreds of entries can take a second more to load if my internet is slow, otherwise it's still fast for me :)
How can i make this all by myself will there be a guide in future ?
hey! I have plenty of tutorial videos breaking down the different aspects of building a Notion second brain system from scratch if you want to build it yourself :) However, it would likely take quite a long time with all the different components, but still do-able
@@ProductiveSetups Ok Ill go through those tutorials, thanks
If u built it can i get it plz🥹🙏
Excited for version 3.0
no plans on updating tbh.
(ua-cam.com/video/z4Ce-IKXZhM/v-deo.html)
hey :) just change it from default "untitled" to "empty" and that will fix it :D
@@ProductiveSetups Thank you so much! Also is there any option to schedule tasks as recurring?
I am struggling to download this template from Gumroad. Could you please advise?
Hey, oh that's strange? Send me an email and I'll help you out :)
@@ProductiveSetups I’ve sorted it thank you
