I've been watching too many of these - but I like this twist on the para method. I wanted system but i hate the way tasks are managed under para - some people have to mow their lawns Tiago, no I'm not making a project.
What an excellent video, I am sure that it will save a lot of people a lot of time. Quick Question. Time Tracking. I have it in mind to set up time blocks exactly how you use the Notion calendar. Set a time block of say two hours for dealing with client issues. I will then look at what issues need work and time each task with a start and stop button. In theory I can then look at the time block and see what I did during it. Does that sound reasonable? The life Buckets is a great idea I could have the time blocks by a life sub bucket. So for work I have Prospecting, Sales, onboarding, Issues, Marketing, Admin and have these as a field within the Project (I have everything under a project) but they could be sub areas of a bucket
hei brother, I love your vdos and especially your tricks with notion.. I'm very new to notion.. I wanted to know Whether using notion is Ideal for keeping my notes sorted and use them when needed is a good idea or not..... if yes then how? and if not then what could be better idea to do that?
I have a question. I have projects and tasks similar to your example. I can see that you can create a database template which could show the tasks related the project and I could add other information to that page ? However, what I would prefer to do is to create a page that has an inline database showing the project and an inline database that refers to the project. The page could have a template depending upon project type. Just seems a neater way of doing it. Is what I am suggesting a correct way of doing things? Would you store the "Project Pages" in a pages database?
I love how simple and elegant this looks. I tried to use notion. But got stumped with one simple issue that no one would answe. How do you add a new view to an existing database? Could not find an answer anywhere.
@@Smaffs59 Hey :) yes exactly. Just click on the + button on an existing database and you can create a new view. You can also do /database then select your existing database and create a new view with that :)
In my opinion the biggest mistake youve made is using the word buckets, life buckets just sounds bad. Life zones or areas sound way better. What was the thought process for choosing the word bucket? Its not even descriptive of what your trying to convey.
Just my point of view. Your videos are super interesting but inserting things like "Super Mario playing tennis" while I am trying to follow your super-fast explanation, is super distracting. Pun intended.
The best tutorial on how to notion proects that I have ever seen... danke
Show as page section in project just changed my life! Thank you!
happy I could help! :D
The show as page section doesn't populate for me

Far from an expert so hope this is correct. There is a + sign when you look at what views you already have. You use that to add another.
Thank@@Smaffs59 I'll look for that

haha, that's fair! I just heard the term used a while back and started calling it that. :)

appreciate it :) totally fair point!
